Master Chief Petty Officer Stephen 'Orthos' McKnight sighed softly as he looked over the menu. Apparently the Roanoke had been restocked with lots of fresh food and now he couldn't decide on what he wanted to eat.

Daisy entered the Dragon. She looked around and noticed Orthos at a table and approached.

"Mmm... Oh hey Daisy... whats new with you?"

"Heard they got in some fresh food, so I decided to treat myself to a good lunch." Daisy cheerfully told him.

"Yeah.." Orthos regarded her. "Fleet Admiral Yamaguchi really came through for us." he commented. "you name it, she got it for us."

"I'll have to write her a thank you note." Daisy stated. "May I?" Daisy pointed to an empty seat next to Orthos.

"Daisy. why are you always so polite?" Orthos inquired. "You can join me whenever you like.." he added. "I just can't decide what I want..."

Daisy took a seat. "Sorry, I'm still a little unsettled after the virus attack." Daisy explained. "I was very sick and I still need a follow up examination." Daisy looked over the menu. "I could use some fried seafood. Maybe fried octopus?"

Orthos raised an eyebrow. "Go with something easier to digest... don't push it when you don't need to hon." he responded. "I'm gonna go for a bowl of hamburger helper with a few slices of bread."

Daisy shrugged. "You may be right. I haven't been able to hold down food very well lately. Maybe I'll try a salad?"

"Avoid the Caesar Salad... its not the best to digest.." he commented as he replicated his food. "You sure you're okay?" he regarded her with worry.

"Yes, I'm okay." Daisy smiled at Orthos. "I've just been a little under the weather. I'll try the salad with a light dressing."

Orthos smiled. "I've noticed that some of the crew are still not feeling well... of course it could be because we're apparently at the top for everything."

Daisy perked up at Orthos' last statement. "This ship is at the top?"

Orthos nodded. "April Yamaguchi said we're at the top... I guess she meant it."

"Explains the recent provision supply of good food." Daisy told him. "I'm still skeptical Command likes us."

"I never said anything about command.... I just said April." Orthos commented. "CinC Starfleet Forces, Beta Quadrant."

"Well, that still is an improvement." Daisy stated. "Maybe we will get better assignments than garbage pick up."

"That.... is a wonderful thought." Orthos agreed. "I personally will believe this... when I see it."

"True." Daisy gave Orthos a look. "I missed you these past few days."

Orthos grinned at her. "that makes two of us." as he regarded her. "your place... or mine tonight?"

"Your place please. I've spent too much time in my quarters." Daisy replied. "Are you going to get a drink?"

Orthos chuckled softly as he replicated a glass of water. "I'll keep it simple." he responded. "what about you?"

Daisy thought for a moment. "Better lay off the booze until I'm better."

"I'll admit... I lost my taste for it." Orthos commented with a smile as he sat down at a nearby empty table.

"Really? When did this happen?" Daisy asked.

"While we were dealing with the virus... I was stuck drinking water.." he responded.

"I was too but I still want warnog." Daisy told Orthos. "I'll wait until I get the medical okay."

"Alright." he regarded her as he took a bite of his food.

Daisy smiled at Orthos "It must be that Vulcan self restraint. After I get my medi-check I'm drinking a big helping of warnog."

"I won't get in your way." Orthos commented, a smile on his face.

"I'm sure you won't." Daisy told him. "But you will make me an omelette for my hangover, right?"

Orthos chuckled softly. "You love omelette's.." he commented with a smile. "Well... I did get to restock my kitchen." he added. "last time it was grade E and F... now .. however its grade A."

"Actually I'm rather indifferent to them. It is that your cooking that makes them wonderful. I'm not sure if you can improve on your food but I'm willing to eat your efforts." Daisy smiled at Orthos.

Orthos regarded her. "Oh I can always look into making the perfect omelette." he responded with a smile. "I always make them using Terran food... I never get too creative like adding Breggit lung or Gagh."

"You could try some sort of Terran meat such as beef or pork." Daisy mused as she thought about what kind of food Othos could create.

"I thought about it." he admitted. "I don't want to get too crazy about it as you can overload it with too much food.." he responded. "nothing wrong with eggs, cheese and a little meat... should the last become needed."

"Oh it is needed." Daisy told Orthos while laughing a bit. "One of your omelettes will fill me for the entire day. No need for replicated food."

Orthos slowly nodded his head. "Nothing like a good omelette and several slices of toast."

"I'll take that as an agreement for a breakfast date." Daisy told Orthos. "I would invite you to drinks the night before at the Dragon but you know.." Daisy shrugged her shoulders "You don't drink anymore."

"I never said I didn't drink anymore... " he responded evenly. "I said I lost my taste for it." he then smiled. "And besides.. you're still sick remember."

"Probably just lingering after effects of the virus. I'm sure they'll give me something and I'll be good." Daisy smiled at Orthos. "I'll get some anticipated warnog at the Dragon and since your cooking breakfast I'll buy drinks."

"Sounds good." Orthos responded. with a smile.
