Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 0900Hrs - January 29th, 2391

Siaxx Dvald was sitting in her office as she wanted to nominate someone for Head Nurse to replace Tienn. She looked over Windspirit's file as the smaller Eeiauoan medical officer had really stepped up to the plate but so had a few others recently, her second choice was Toshnarr

Siaxx tapped her combadge. "Dvald to Windspirt. When you get a moment, could you step into my office please and thanks?"

Windspirit didn't waste much time as the soft footed Eeiauoan walked into Siaxx's office. She sat down in one of the chairs and petted Shonax, whom was sitting in one of the other chairs.

"I'm looking for a new Chief Nurse... You're my first choice for the position... do you want it?" Siaxx inquired.

Windspirit shook her head," Sorry Siaxx, I cant take it, I'm not leadership material, plus i am a surgeon anyway. I would recommend Toshnarr though, he has mellowed out since he first came on the ship and he has shown himself to be a competent leader."

Siax nodded her head, her smile had not departed her, before she tapped her combadge. "Dvald to Toshnarr, would you mind stepping into my office please?"

A soft rumble answered but not through the com system. "I will be there presently Doctor.." and with that Toshnarr peered into the office. "You called.. Doctor?"

"Yeah... come on in."

Toshnarr came around the corner as he entered the office as Siaxx nodded. "Close the door please Chief."

Toshnarr did as requested before he sat down in the indicated chair,m Shonax jumped into his lap as the Gorn gently petted the kitty which under normal circumstances he would have thought of as lunch. "So... Toshnarr... How do you feel about taking over as my Chief Nurse?"

"I feel I am not yet worthy..." he indicated Windspirit. "Windspirit is a far better choice... she is more experienced then most of your staff... along with being able to get things done."

Windspirit shook her head, "No Toshnarr, I'm a warrant officer and not a leader. Plus I don't really know the section, You do. besides, I am old and reaching the end of my career anyway. You still have a lot further you could go, you could use the experience."

Toshnarr slowly nodded his massive head. "Very well..." he turned to Siaxx. "I accept your offer of Chief Nurse."

"Fantastic." Siaxx responded. "I'm going to assign Tienn to you. Keep her busy and out of my hair... or the lack thereof... she need to walk off some of whats bothering her... she has issues with me so... I'll let you handle her."

"Very well." Toshnarr rumbled. "If you have nothing further for me Doctor. I will go and see to the nursing staff and see to their various needs.."

"Of course Chief. I expect you to do better then Tienn has been doing.."

"Oh I will Doctor..." Toshnarr rumbled as he gently placed Shonax back on the desk, the cat meowed at him as the massive Gorn gently ran a claw over him before taking his leave.

Siaxx watched, a gentle smile on her face before she turned to Windspirit. "You did a nice job with Commander Teval... Whats his situation?"

Windspirit sighed as she patted Shonax again, " Well, he is recovering, though slowly. The little guy is thoroughly emaciated, which is complicating the process, in addition to all the organ damage. Though his species is tough. If he was human, he probably wouldn't make it. Though I don't expect he will be ready for any real duties for at least another three or four weeks, and it will probably be months before he will be completely back to normal. But the real hero here is Nalla, with that transporter device of hers. Without that I don't think we could have saved him. I have to say, the kid is a genius, like I have never seen before."

"Nalla Furban comes through again." Siaxx tapped the display before her as a smile appeared on her face. "Well.. Admiral Yamaguchi is around.." she commented.
