Mission: Mission 24: Open Secrets
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1000Hrs - January 30th, 2391

Ensign Elizabeth Yamaguchi was doing paperwork as she was presently sitting on a biobed while she looked at the PADD in her hands.

She heard a female voice ask for assistance. Yamaguchi turned her head as she stepped off the bed. "Can I help you?" she looked down at the smaller woman of exotic ancestry. "Morning Captain.."

"Good morning Ensign. This might sound odd but I'm here for a post virus examination." Daisy told the young women.

"Nothing odd about it at all Sir." Yamaguchi commented with a smile. "Have a seat and I will poke and prod you."

Daisy returned the smile and took a seat. "you may begin prodding and poking." Daisy lightheartedly stated.

The Ensign smiled as she opened her tricorder to do a Physical. "So... what medical maladies have you had recently?" she asked, as she did so, she blinked in surprise. "Ooo... oh my.."

Daisy grimaced and groaned. "Don't tell me I still have that virus."

"No... " Yamaguchi commented. "You're pregnant Captain... about uhhh... Roughly six weeks along." she paused. "Considering the nature of that virus... I'm surprised that your pregnancy is viable."

Daisy gave Yamaguchi a smile. "I'm sorry but I think you are mistaken, Ensign. I'm half Klingon so it could have thrown off the tricorder. It must be something else."

Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow. "I checked twice... my first thought that this was a parasite... but you are indeed pregnant... I also accounted for the species barrier."

Daisy sat there in silence for a moment. She starred at the floor. "I'm not sure how to react. This wasn't planned."

"Take a deep breathe." Yamaguchi commented softly. "It'll be okay...If you don't want the pregnancy, we can discuss options..."

Daisy let out a heavy sigh. "Thank you Ensign." Daisy gave a slight smile. "I wanted to have children in the future. Now that I have a child I want to keep it. I'll just have to re-plan my life." Daisy sighed again. "I still have to tell the father. Not sure how he will respond."

Yamaguchi paused. "Alright.... well if you need anything... let us know.." she responded. "Other then that, you're in excellent health.."

"Thanks Ensign for your support. I appreciate it." Daisy told Yamaguchi. "Now I have to go tell somebody he he is going to be a father."

"Alright." Yamaguchi smiled. "Anything I can do." the taller woman watched as the Klingon woman with exotic looks turned and departed the sickbay area.
