Mission: Mission 20: Outbreak
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1200Hrs - December 28th, 2390

Teval took a seat in the command chair, being rather exhausted himself. With most of the crew down, normal shift rotation went out of the window, with people just catching naps here and there but otherwise staying on duty continuously.

"This virus just keeps getting worse and worse," Hakaya commented, tired herself.

Teval nodded, "Yeah, talk about one hell of a bug, I wonder how this bastard got on board."

Hakaya sighed," Not sure, I Wonder how Zara is doing."

Aerin added in, "No medics were called to her Quarters."

Teval shrugged as he got up, "Well, I guess I'll go check on her then, Luhanna you got the bridge for now."

Wintersnow nodded. "Sounds good." and with that she went and sat down in the Captain's chair, she gently curled her tail around her hips.

In her bed, Zara laid. She was still in her skivvies from the day before, and she looked very pale and clammy from sweat rolling off her.

Teval walked up to Zara's quarters and hit the door chime. Zara did not answer. She could barely roll over in bed, much less walk steadily. So instead of getting up, she remained planted and tried to keep her splitting headache under control.

Teval, worried, just decided to open the door, He could smell that Zara's condition was not good, so he tapped his combadge," Teval to sickbay, can you send a medic down to the captains quarters right away."

In sickbay, Siaxx gathered her medical kit as she tapped her combadge "I'm on my way." she responded evenly, she lifted her medkit as she walked out the door.

A minute or so later, she arrived at her destination. She smiled softly as she regarded Teval. "Hey Teval, whats up?"

Teval pointed at Tane, "The captain is in real bad shape, think you can do something for her."

Siaxx slowly moved into the quarters. "Let me have a look at her." and as the Bolian had expected, she found Tane in bed. "Oh yeah..." she commented. "elevated blood pressure, temperature." the Bolian began scanning the Trill woman.

"And I wanna vomit again," Zara spoke rather groggily.

Teval just watched as siaxx treated Zara as best she could. When she was done, Teval asked," Any idea what this bug is."

"Well... Nalla positively identified it as being a part of the hemorrhagic blood fever type." she explained. "Smiler to the Ebola that popped up on Earth several centuries earlier."

"Wonderful," Teval commented flatly," So how is the medical staff holding up."

"We're managing as best we can but... its starting to affect our people too.... this bug I mean..... I have a staff of forty and we're being run into the ground as a result of it."

Teval sighed, "Well as is, the tranquility is three days out, unfortunately we cant exactly go out and meet them, the warp drive broke down a couple of days ago and we haven't had the maintenance techs available to get it working again. But either way help is on the way, so we only have to hold out for three days. So just try and keep sickbay together as best you can until then."

Siaxx paused. "Okay...." she raised an eyebrow. "Wait... me.... I'm not CMO anymore.."

Teval gave Siaxx a look, " Well I don't know anything about that, as far as I can tell, its not official, and the ships logs still indicate you as being CMO. So as long as I am in charge, your CMO until I hear otherwise."

Siaxx raised an eyebrow. "Oh.... Okay.." she then shrugged. "Not much I can say about it.." she added before turning her attention back to Tane. "I'm worried about her.."

Teval also looked at tane, "Why do you think I called for someone from medical."

Zara's reply, or rather involuntary reaction, was trying to get out of bed and run to the bathroom. Only she did not get that far. She she rolled, her head projectile-vomited into the floor.

Siaxx went over after Zara, as soon as the Captain had finished vomiting, the Bolian reached down and gently lifted the other woman to her feet. "Come on... lets get you cleaned up."

Siaxx gently half helped and half carried the other woman into the bathroom where she began cleaning Zara off. "There we go." she said gently. "Easy Zara, you've had a rough couple of days..."

"Crew hate me," Zara spoke from some sort of fever-induced sadness, with very distant eyes. "Beth mind-fucked me. Phoenix ruined my dead, former boyfriend's fighter. And Siaxx wants to rape me... Not like things can get better."

"Why do we fall Zara?" Siaxx inquired with a soft smile.

"For the VA benefits?" Zara guessed with confused eyes.

"Well... that too...." Siaxx commented. "Come on.... lets get you cleaned up and back in bed.."

That's when Tane's eyes focused again. "You have to blow ship up, if this ship goes too far. We can't..." Zara paused to cough and barely had enough strength to focus on her walking.

"Easy..." she responded as she regarded Tane. "If we get to that point... I'll handle it."

"Good," Tane spoke with a weak nod.

"In the meantime... Lets get you back in bed..." Siaxx commented.

"I'm thirsty," Zara spoke weakly.

Siaxx went over to the replicator, she obtained the drink in question before coming back to Zara as she gently helped Zara with the drink. "Easy.... small sips..." she commented softly. "otherwise you'll throw it all back up.." she paused. "you and I do need to talk but it can wait.. for later."
