Nothing New to Me

Mission: Mission 15: Old Ghosts
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 0900Hrs - December 4th, 2390

Lieutenant commander Ra'Vak looked at his new assignment, the Roanoke.

'Well I wonder how screwed up this ship is,' Ra'Vak thought to himself. Starfleet never seemed to like the idea of having a full Romulan in the fleet, and has constantly assigned him to the reject ships of the fleet, even though his mother took him away from the empire when he was only five. Honestly, he considered most Romulan's to be uptight arrogant assholes anyway, so he had little liking for his own species.

Ra'Vak saw the checkpoint for the Roanoke, and wearing a big goofy smile, approached a black furred Caitian with a very confused look on her face. "Hi lieutenant, don't mind me, I am just reporting in for my assignment."

Lieutenant JG Moni Nasao blinked her large blue eyes as she regarded the Romulan officer before her. "Morning Lt Commander... did I miss something... a Romulan in a Starfleet uniform.. will wonders ever cease..?" she inquired. "mind if I see your paperwork?"

Ra'Vak gave off a seemingly confused look, "Romulan, Oh so that's what my species is, a Romulan. Huh. Guess you learn something new every day,?" He replied in a joking manner, while he presented his paperwork. Nasao accepted the PADD as she regarded him, more confused then ever while she thought. 'Who in Khasst is this guy?' she warily regarded him. "I think this is in order.." she took a few moments to read the information. "All things considered," she informed him. "Lt Commander... have you had anything to drink today?"

Ra'Vak replied in his usual manner, "Yeah, I had a drink of water about 5 minutes ago."

Nasao blinked as she shook her head. "I see..." she blinked her blue eyes as indicated the airlock. "You may proceed..." as she handed him back her PADD.

Ra'Vak simply walked on to the ship, shaking his head and thinking, 'Some people just can't take a joke.'

A few minutes later he walked onto the bridge to find his CO, and catching a few stares as well. Wearing a big smile he walked up to a halanan woman wearing a commander rank, standing next to the master system display.

"Hi commander, I am lt. Commander Ra'Vak, and i am reporting for duty."

Yamaguchi chuckled softly as she found herself smiling. "Welcome to my corner of hell Commander. You're the new Chief Engineer right?"
"or... am I just hallucinating?"

Ra'Vak responded quickly," Yes, i am just your imagination talking and i am here to encourage you to do bad things. I'm the little devil on your shoulder so to speak."

"Don't tease me." Yamaguchi chuckled softly. "The guys in sickbay have been giving me excellent drugs." as she suddenly noticed that a few others on the bridge had stopped working and where paying close attention, clearly confused or shaking their heads.

Yamaguchi meanwhile felt more at home now then she had earlier this morning. "so... my little demon... tell me more... abut bad things you want me to do?" she inquired

"I want you do do more of those drugs, they are good and I am hungry."
Yamaguchi chuckled softly. "It can be arranged." she responded with a smile as she regarded the master system display at the back of the bridge. "Besides.. the Doctor wanted to see me... she claims she's found the angel to counter your demon..."

Yamaguchi paused. "still... life is so much easier when I'm alone with my demon.."

At that moment Zara entered the bridge very stiffly. As if someone had something stuck far up their rear. She partly enjoyed the subject her XO was on. But as she tried to find a place to perch comfortably while eavesdropping, she found no matter how she moved, her rump did not feel comfortable.

Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow as she turned her head ever so slightly as she caught sight of the Captain out of the corner of her eye. "Well... all things said... between me and you... my new demonic friend.." she then turned. "Captain... meet our new Chief Engineer, the demon..."
Yamaguchi quickly did the introductions as she frowned. "What happened to you?" she inquired.

"Hello..." Zara tried to sound calm and casual, and fidgeted again as she tried to lean up against the console.

She took a moment to gather her composure and tried to wave her pain aside. "Oh I'm fine... Just found out what the wrong way of drinking Romulan ale was."

Ra'Vak looked at Tane with a grin and said, "Yeah i can tell, that's why you use the lube."

Torilla smiled as she tried not to chuckle as she placed a hand over her mouth. Her eyes shone with mirth.

"We used it.... just not in the right location," Zara retorted darkly.

Ra'Vak simply responded," Well, that sounds like he has bad aim and needs to go to school for it."

"Who said I slept with a He?" Zara asked, sticking her tongue out at him.

Torilla chuckled softly, now unable to keep herself from laughing but in a way she was envious. "I wish my husband was here... I'm envious."

"....Come to think of it, I've no idea who the fuck I slept with," Zara added with a short frown, and more or less waddled to her chair.

Torilla smiled. "Maybe he'll pop up at some point..." she then shrugged. "who knows.." she then smiled

Ra'Vak paused as he tried to think of a response, but this time he was actually lost for words and shrugged, "O.K. she got me with that one."

Yamaguchi regarded the Captain with her dark eyes. "Captain... seriously... go to sickbay and get that looked at.." she then turned to the new officer. "who knows what she slept with, clearly she needed the stress relief.." then she turned back to the Captain. "I'm going to ask nicely.."

"I'm good. Really," Zara attempted to brush aside, though she flinched when she moved the wrong way in her chair. "I just have to meet my security chief. And I got a pillow ready to sit on. Really."

"Well, I have to go check in with the good doctor anyway, So I'm off," Ra'Vak added, then he left the bridge.

Ra'Vak walked Into sickbay to check in with the doctor, and immediately noticed two people where sitting on the beds looking like they got into a fight with a dozen klingons.

Siaxx Dvald eyed the two guys as they growled at each other. "Silence infidels." she growled at them both. "seriously.. I am not your beast of burden..." the Bolian looked them over. "what were you two fighting about anyway?"

"Well he said-"

The other said. "he started it."

"Enough!" Siaxx growled. "You both can suffer..." she turned and noticed the new arivel as she sighed. "What do you want?"

Ra'Vak put his hand up and said," Relax, I'm just here for a checkup."

Siaxx eyed him carefully. "Indeed.... so.. who might you be?" she inquired as she indicated a biobed. "Nurse?!"

A young Asian looking woman rushed over. "yes doctor?"

"Keep everyone else away from those two.... nobody is to treat their wounds..."

"Understood doctor." and with that the Asian woman smiled as Siaxx shooed her away.

"Eh, I say you should just throw dumb and dumber in the brig, with their injuries." Ra'Vak commented lightly.

"Don't tempt me." Siaxx commented with a smile as she paused. "Chief!"
The door opened and in came a massive behemoth of a being. "Yes El Tee?" the Gorn inquired.

"Take these two fools to the brig... without anesthetic... tell the Chief of the watch they were brawling.."

"Righto El Tee." and with that he reached for the two bozo's as Siaxx grinned widely. "bye boys.." and with that she watched the Gorn hauled the tow victims of Siax's revenge out the door and down the hall.
Ra'Vak looked as the big gorn hauled the idiots out of sickbay, then he turned to Siaxx and said," Well I see your a doctor with some stones, not enough of them around i think."

Siaxx smiled as she turned to her newest victim. "Well... I try..." she paused. "so... what can I do for you?"

Ra'Vak just shrugged," Eh, just the normal newbie checkup, that's all."
Siaxx nodded. "Alright.. have a seat.." she commented. "and I will poke and prodd you."

Ra'Vak smiled and said," Oooh sounds kinky."

"Don't tease me, my girlfriend is a lot more demanding then you could ever be" Siaxx commented. "But then... it could be worse... you could try taking the Exec to bed... she's just hard up... all the time."

"Yeah i met her, I already know."

"Ahh,...and how did that go??" Siaxx inquired, a wide grin on her face.

"She tried hitting on me, actually. But considering that she is pregnant, and most likely married, I'm not going to try anything with her."

"A wise plan." Siaxx then smiled, clearly this guy was a cut above just about everyone else on this ship, she turned her attention to the tricorder in her hand as she quickly did his physical. "Welcome aboard USS Purgatory... her real name is USS Roanoke but I call her whatever my little heart desires.."

"Eh, nothing new to me, being romulan starfleet seems to love to send me to the rejects of the fleet. But i cant be bothered to be angry about it anymore."

"Fair enough... in any case, you're in excellent health.. so I'm certifying you fit for duty.." Siaxx commented.

"Thanks," Ra'Vak replied, as he got up and left sickbay.
