Timeline: 1600Hrs - June 10th, 2393

Captain Celeste Yamaguchi-Hobbs was departing Operations as her shift was finished when she found her eldest sibling waiting for her in the turbolift. The smile on Marie's face brightened considerably when she regarded her sibling. "Celeste. I was just thinking of you." Yamaguchi greeted her baby sibling.

Yamaguchi-Hobbs stepped into the turbolift. Marie was wearing her Starfleet uniform with the red collar and she was one of those women who made the uniform look sexy. "Marie, You never come to find me unless you want something, you also never start a conversation unless you know where it's going... So out with it, save us both a lot of aggravation and time." Yamaguchi-Hobbs said in a quiet tone of voice that brooked no argument.

"Oh wow, you are in a wonderful mood on this fine day." Yamaguchi grinned at her younger sibling. "Maybe I want-" Yamaguchi started but Yamaguchi-Hobbs cut her off, midsentence.

"Want something from me. Yes, I know that you want something, what I don't know is what you want from me." Yamaguchi-Hobbs answered with a knowing smile. "So.. spit it out." the younger woman growled.

Yamaguchi regarded her sister with a rather sly smile. "Computer, take us to the plaza." as she regarded Celeste before her smile turned sinister. "We have a matter to discuss. What happened with Jackson?" Yamaguchi asked in a light tone of voice.

"Oh is that all?" Yamaguchi-Hobbs responded she sounded almost surprised.

"Oh no, not just him," Yamaguchi responded as she dropped the playful act, she only ever did that when she was reeling in her catch. "I want to know what the fuck is going on with you and mom, you two have been in a state of war for over twenty years and I'm sick of cleaning up the fallout from that private, or I should say public little war." Yamaguchi glared at her younger sister. "Stop fucking with me, Celeste. You know what I want." Yamaguchi demanded in a rather angry tone of voice.

"I do and you do not need to be getting-" Yamaguchi-Hobbs started but Marie cut her off with ruthless force.

"I am involved Celeste, and I am sick of cleaning up after you. You and mom have been fighting over something that happened when you were a teenager. I wasn't present but from what I've been able to gather. I'm glad because whatever it was, has all but destroyed whatever family we have left." Yamaguchi explained. "You see this little disaster from the inside out where I see it from the outside looking in," Yamaguchi explained. "James and Daniel asked me to deal with it."

"You shouldn't get involved-" Yamaguchi-Hobbs sighed softly before she was cut off a second time.

"Celeste, you cannot be this dense on a normal day," Yamaguchi answered with a tone of finality.

"Marie. Do not fucking start with me." Yamaguchi-Hobbs growled.

"I have been hoping you'd tell me," Yamaguchi responded with a loud sigh. "I mean I am your big sister. The one who looked after you when we were kids. I am eight years older then you and I was always the one who looked after you." The older Yamaguchi answered. "Why couldn't you come to me with what happened between you and mom?"

"Because mom can never be forgiven for what she did to me." Yamaguchi-Hobbs felt the hot sting of her tears as she glared darkly at her sibling. "I do not like thinking about what happened, much less talking about it. You weren't there, you couldn't help with this." Yamaguchi-Hobbs growled as she slowly started crying, she angrily wiped at her face.

"What did mom do?" Yamaguchi asked in a quiet tone, knowing she had finally broken through the fortifications and defenses around Yamaguchi-Hobbs and that by itself had taken some major doing, she felt old and tired, what's more, was that Marie was angry, that it had come to this to get her baby sister to talk about what had happened.

"Computer, override destination. Deck sixty, Senior officers quarters." she glared at her big sister. "I am NOT having this chat here," Yamaguchi-Hobbs said with an air of quiet finality. "I won't just tell you, I'll show you what she did. I have the proof, the proof that mom lied to me and denied me."

"Denied you?" Yamaguchi asked softly. "What?" she older female whispered softly.

"As I said, you'll see soon enough.." Yamaguchi-Hobbs said quietly. "You, Daniel and James.. You all make it look so easy. With your spouses and children. Your families, you make it look so easy." Yamaguchi-Hobbs growled.

"Celeste, what are you saying?" Yamaguchi asked. Suddenly confused with the change of conversation and of the subject.

Yamaguchi-Hobbs breathed in softly. "Do you remember Rob Connor, my boyfriend in high school?"

"Rob?." Yamaguchi nodded. "Yeah, actually I know him quite well," Yamaguchi answered evenly. "He's actually in Starfleet and he's presently commanding one of the new Guardian class ships," Yamaguchi added. "He commands the USS Massachusetts."

Yamaguchi-Hobbs noted the fact that Marie said 'I know' and not 'I knew.' which indicated she was on speaking terms with him at the very least. "I know. I looked him up a few nights ago after a screaming match with mom." Yamaguchi-Hobbs responded. "I never thought to look him up before," she admitted. "I wasn't sure I wanted to know.."

"Yes, mom mentioned that particular screaming match," Yamaguchi answered. "Rob knew about me and he and I began talking several years ago. I was quite surprised that he remembered me but then he was wondering about you and I knew why. What could I have done differently?. Was it all my fault that things went sideways.?" Yamaguchi asked. "Oh I know most of his story but he left out one little detail and that concerns mom."

Yamaguchi-Hobbs sighed as the doors opened. "Yeah well," she answered. "He didn't know about what mom did, most of it I didn't know how to tell him and he wasn't ready to hear it, he was still raw from what happened." the younger woman explained.

Yamaguchi regarded her younger sibling, she was getting results and she did not like where all of this was leading. "What did happen?" Yamaguchi pressed, knowing she might never get another chance like this one.

"Not here," Yamaguchi-Hobbs answered. "I'm not having this conversation in the hallway," she added with a tone that brooked no argument. Yamaguchi followed her younger sister into her quarters, Yamaguchi-Hobbs shrugged off her uniform jacket to reveal she was wearing a sleeveless tank top. "Marie. You want to know what happened. Fine. I'll tell you. But first, you should know that Dad knew everything, he's the reason our family didn't implode after what happened."

Yamaguchi nodded as she went over to the replicator, she ordered herself something for the two women to drink as she had a feeling this was not something that Celeste was going to share lightly. "Daniel and James don't know about this, Oh they knew as much as you did but they also knew to leave me be about it, you're the stubborn one," Yamaguchi-Hobbs explained. "I'm not sure if that's good or bad."

"Because you're the one who's not only at war with mom, you also at war with yourself," Yamaguchi answered, in a knowing tone. "I know you better then you think Celeste, I did my homework before I came to visit you yesterday. I asked Gilora to look at you from a distance and she agrees with me. You have an issue you need to deal with."

"I know about my issues Marie," Yamaguchi-Hobbs answered with a soft growl. "You and your husband and your kids and soon to be grandkids, you make it all look so godammed easy all the time."

"Yes but that's because my husband and I work at our relationship, we make it work. Celeste, I don't get where that's coming from." she paused. "Are you envious of me or something?" Yamaguchi answered, sounding confused.

"Yes and no but not for the reasons you'd think. It goes back to what I was trying to tell you but you keep interrupting me." Yamaguchi-Hobbs answered.

Marie took a sip of her drink before she commented. "Then please, go on."

"Right, you recall Rob Connor, my old boyfriend when I was in high school.?" Yamaguchi-Hobbs started.

"I do, we've been over this," Yamaguchi answered. "What's Rob got to do with the issue between you and mom?" she added.

"Everything," Yamaguchi-Hobbs responded in a flat tone. "He was the cause of my problems Marie. I became pregnant when I turned fifteen. I got knocked up the first time he and I had sex together." Yamaguchi-Hobbs responded bluntly. "That is what happened. I missed it at the time because I was more focused on my grades rather than being pregnant. I missed a cycle and got myself a home pregnancy test. Mom saw the look on my face and she demanded when my last cycle was. I wasn't sure why she was being so demanding at the time, considering you had just had your first and so did Daniel."

"I was twenty-three at the time, I was married and an Ensign to boot," Yamaguchi answered quietly. "I was assigned to the Federation Displaced Persons Agency and I had just met Horus several months earlier, we were dating when he and I ended up in bed together. I expected mom to be outright angry with me but she seemed sadder than anything else, then she told me that you and she had just had a massive falling out and you were at the academy at the time." Yamaguchi paused. "Go on."

"I miscarried and I assumed it was normal but the school guidance counselor was suspicious as she realized something was off in the timing, I wish she had left it alone and left me to my misery but she asked that I look into the matter, citing that something wasn't right," Yamaguchi-Hobbs explained. "Dad gave his consent and the medics poked me and prodded me to find out what had gone wrong."

Yamaguchi had a mounting sense of dread and horror as to where this was going. "Go on."

"It turned out that I had been poisoned," Yamaguchi-Hobbs explained in a quiet tone. "My miscarriage was deliberate and only two people had the training at the time to pull it off. The school nurse or mom."

"Wait, you think mom had poisoned you?." Yamaguchi whispered the response, horrified by what she was hearing. "She couldn't. She wouldn't." Yamaguchi whispered softly.

"I not only think so, I know so," Yamaguchi-Hobbs responded. "You forget I have the proof, the medication was Starfleet and its the emergency abort pill which lasts up to two weeks in someone's system, designed as a failsafe so one cannot become pregnant," Yamaguchi-Hobbs responded with a sigh. "I didn't wish you to know because this was exactly the result that would happen."

Yamaguchi blinked as she processed the news. "Oh my god." as she collapsed into a nearby chair.

"I didn't want anyone else involved. This was a quarter of a century ago and nobody else needed to know about it."

"Why didn't you tell me, at the very least?" Yamaguchi asked.

"Because it would have destroyed our family. Dad asked me and mom privately, not to make this a public issue. I had no reason to do it so I agreed. Mom did too and we've not talked to since other then the occasional time we're together because our careers demanded it." Yamaguchi-Hobbs explained.

Yamaguchi sighed. "Shit. I'm at a loss for words, I'm sorry Celeste."

"So am I," Yamaguchi-Hobbs answered in a quiet tone of voice. "Now. as for Jackson."

"Oh." Yamaguchi paused. "What happened with him.?" she had a bad feeling about this one too.

"Jackson was a product of rape. A Klingon marine wanted to fuck with Brianna's head and he fucked with my body to get to her." Yamaguchi-Hobbs explained in a gentle tone. "You who thought so highly of Brianna Hobbs, my personal black rock of Gibraltar. She was the one who saved me from my own personal demons, after what happened with mom."

Yamaguchi was already numb. "When I get home, I'm going to contact all of my children and tell them I love them. Then I am going to take my husband to bed and fuck him senseless." the older woman said in a quiet tone.

"Give your kin my regards." Yamaguchi-Hobbs with a gentle smile. "Tell your husband he still owes me two bars of latinum, preferably after you bed him."

"Celeste, it's going to be okay," Yamaguchi answered as she gently took her baby sisters hand in her own.

"I know. I got the kids, I got Brianna and Jackson. How he came is irrelevant, what matters is that he's here and I love him."

Yamaguchi slowly smiled. "Don't forget the twins." she reminded her baby sister.

"Them, and you. I just wish you'd tone down your sense of humor a little. It's exhausting." Yamaguchi-Hobbs stated.

"I'll work on it, for you." Yamaguchi agreed, a little too quickly.

"Okay." Yamaguchi-Hobbs sighed. "Fuck, I'm getting too old for this shit."

"Amen. Why don't you go take a shower and let me get dinner started." Yamaguchi indicated the bedroom. "I can always contact my kids while I work and I'll bed my husband tonight," she added with a grin.

Celeste rose to her feet and went into the master bedroom, while the older female went to work in the kitchen.
