Mission: Mission 11: Red VS Blue
Location: Beach - Viery Territory - Kaleb IV
Timeline: 1500Hrs - February 10th, 2390

Lieutenant Siaxx 'Echo' Dvald sighed softly as she was lying on a beach towel, wearing only a skimpy bathing suit which was a dark red in color as she was lying on her back, Chi Eridani was keeping watch over the Bolian who was sunbathing.

The Blue skinned woman opened one eye. "Phoenix..?" she inquired before she felt a wave of water land on her, she screamed in surprise as she shot to her feet with Phoenix in a green bikini, running away after having dropped a large bucket of water.

The Bolian raised an eyebrow as she stood there, now totally drenched in ice cold sea water. "Nice... I'll make you pay for that." she then began to jog after the rapidly retreating human.

Phoenix laughed much like a child. Innocent, and truly joyous. It was a very relaxing trip, really and the run she had felt very uplifting. "That's only if you can get me, Goddess," the pilot teased back, hopping over a large branch.

Siaxx followed as she commented. "Oh but I know where you sleep...." the commented with a rather evil smile as she chased the human woman, she dove under the large branch, rolling forward and ending on her feet again, now she was covered in sand. "you're still mine.."

"An' you're mine," Phoenix winked as she turned back to look upon Siaxx. Only she twisted her feet up and fell hard on the sand.

Siaxx caught up to her almost instantly. "Now that's what you get for drenching me.... let me have a look." she then knelt by Phoenix's side. "Mmm..." she raised an eyebrow. "Think you can walk?.... we need to get my medkit and I'm not leaving you here." she paused. "I do have another option of course."

"It's just a twisted ankle," Phoenix insisted with a wince. "Help me walk to it?"

"Back to camp.." The Bolian responded with a smile. "Come on." as she gently helped the human woman to her feet. "Now what did you learn from this?" Siaxx couldn't resist teasing Phoenix.

"Sand is not my friend," Phoenix teased back, but then kissed Siaxx on the cheek. "...It's funny, all the same."

Siaxx smiled in response. "Well... I guess that's good enough..." she commented as she gingerly helped the human woman back to camp.

About twenty minutes or so later, Phoenix was sitting in a deck chair underneath a rather sizeable umbrella as Siaxx was tending to the human woman's foot issue. "Yeah, you twisted it rather good... but fortunately you have the galaxy's best medic so take it easy for a day or two... and you'll be fine."

"With you as my personal doc, I aint hard ta relax," Phoenix smiled as she tried to relax with Siaxx's poking. Then drank on a strawberry daiquiri as she watched her lover.

She indicated the shuttle. "I'm so glad I thought to pack my medkit along with the portable replicator." she mused. "so... dinner... what will you have?"

"Umm... Somethin' with chicken in it?" Phoenix asked very hopefully.

Siaxx raised an eyebrow. "I think it can be arranged..." she then smiled. "if you promise to behave and not try to drown me.." she grinned up at the human woman.

"We needed this escape... For ever how short a time," Phoenix admitted around her massive grin. "My first true vacation since I cut my hand off."

"Oh tell me about it." Siaxx agreed. "Leave the problems up there and we can deal with them when we get back in a few days..... we need to figure out how to face the various battles ahead...." Siaxx gave the human woman a pointed look. "But... that can wait... I see no need to waste time thinking about stupid people."

"You're beautiful," Phoenix spoke warmly and sat up, gingerly, and attempted to kiss Siaxx on the cheek.

Siaxx turned a shade of deep blue at the compliment as she turned her head, instead of receiving a kiss on the cheek, she received one on the lips, before she could stop herself she kissed Phoenix back.

"So what put ya on monogamy with me?" Phoenix asked very curiously.

"I prefer the company of women." she explained evenly. "They are generally easier to handle and generally carry far less drama then most men I know.." the Bolian explained. "Men are... how do I say this?" she then smiled. "want one thing from me... the location changes but the act stays the same... and they generally leave me feeling unhappy and in pain when all is said and done.."

"That's cause I respect ya, and your body. Well... I worship your body," Phoenix admitted with a perverse grin and then engulfed Siaxx into a hug. "...I sorry for hittin' ya. But I'm glad you're startin' ta trust me again."

"I'll get over it." Siaxx replied as Phoenix pulled the Bolian to her. Siaxx gently brushed Phoenix's bangs out of her eyes. "Stop kicking yourself for what happened..." Siaxx commented quietly. "I made my own mistakes too... recriminating over them won't help either of us.... we can't get out backwards, we've got to go forward to go back." and with that she kissed Phoenix on the lips.

It seemed every time Phoenix pulled away for breath, she wanted more of Siaxx. Never had she longed for as badly as she did in that moment. However, given it was a public beach, Phoenix had to use a lot of restraint.

Siaxx smiled. "There is hardly anyone around." she commented, but she too had to be careful. "almost a shame though.." as she gently finished with Phoenix's foot. "There... good as new... but go easy on it for a day or two."

"Oh I'd never go against the words of a doc," Phoenix countered sarcastically. "Thank you, Goddess." She truly meant it too.

"You only get along with two doctors... myself and Tressa." Siaxx commented. "You and Tressa still going to couples counseling?" the Bolian inquired, the look on her face and the tone of her body language said she was more curious then anything else, she wasn't threatened by the smaller human woman who was her boss in the least.

"She calls it that..." Phoenix shrugged. "Anan has been away for personal problems so Tressa an' I don' get to have many sessions right now."

"Anan should be back shortly." Siaxx responded with a smile. "I think Tressa has other problems to concern herself with at present... I know Fives has taken a liking to her."

"Are you wanting couples therapy?" Phoenix asked curiously.

Siaxx regarded Phoenix with a soft smile. "It might help." she commented. "Considering what happened and the fact that you're still blaming yourself for what happened... it could be useful." the Bolian responded, she raised a hand to stop the inevitable. "Phoenix, what happened was a mistake but our relationship survived... battered and bruised but.... it survived.. for if it didn't, it would not be here now."

"Any wife-beater would forgive themselves, just ta do it again later," Phoenix spoke quietly. "By not bein' easy on myself 'bout what happened, I remind myself constantly of how I'm supposed ta treat a lady like you."

Siaxx regarded Phoenix as she rose to her feet,. "But you are too hard on yourself." as she went over to where they had brought their supplies, she plucked a large beach towel and then she rolled it out on the sand before sitting back down again. "Its not like we're at each others throats or that you abuse me all the time... it was one event and we both made mistakes that lead up to it." The Bolian explained. "I'm not worried about a repeat."

"I'll try to beat up myself less often, then," Phoenix half-smiled. "I think learnin' ta manage a family would be a first step in learnin' ta deal with my anger."

"You have your family on the Starbase and you need to spend more time with them." Siaxx commented with a smile. "Then we find your demons and either make peace with them or we take out back and shoot them." the Bolian paused. "Either will suffice... but I prefer the ordinance kind.."

"So long as I can prime the charges, you can detonate 'em," Phoenix winked back.

"Done and Done." Siaxx responded. "After we deal with the Warden, I want to space him... to watch him thrash and scream in silence." the Bolian smiled. "Did I say that out loud?"

"Yeah... But this side of you is rather sexy to me," Phoenix smirked. "That... and your cooking."

Siaxx paused as she turned a bright shade of deep blue, this wasn't something she had been expecting. "Umm... thanks."

"Why's it you always seem surprised when I compliment ya, Goddess?" Phoenix asked as she lifted Siaxx's chin to look her in the eyes.

"Because I've never been good with accepting compliments from anyone." Siaxx admitted honestly as she regarded Phoenix with a soft smile. "Most tend to want one thing from me... its why I have that confidence issue still.."

"I do want ya for that..." God, it had been so long since Phoenix shared that intimacy. It made her blush to think upon such a selfish admission to. "...But I also love the companionship we have. You're the first ta accept me, outside my ken. An' that's important to me."

Siaxx looked at her. "Because you didn't make me feel like a sex object or an object... people tend to want little from me... it leaves me feeling empty."

"I want you as my friend...." There was a knot in her throat as caught the rest of it. Did she have to right to say it though? "...An' my wife."

The tension of trying to hide it became too much. Thus Phoenix had no choice but to admit it. And she drank on her drink to hide her blushing.

Siaxx raised an eyebrow as the shock of what Phoenix said began to sink in.

"You...wait what?" she paused. "Um..." she paused a second time, clearly at a loss for words.

"It's an admission. Not a proposal," Phoenix spoke sheepishly as she tried to stretch her sore foot out. "You don' gotta answer it if ya don' wanna."

Siaxx slowly smiled. "Go easy with that foot." she commented. "and... nobody has ever wanted me like that before..." she admitted. "Nobody..." she was referring to Lieutenant Heraxx Shon, who died in front of her.

Phoenix took Siaxx's hand and kissed the back of it gently before she pulled the Bolian in to her chest. For a while, all Phoenix wanted was to spoon her girlfriend.

"You're a special gal, Siaxx... You don' know how special. An' if folks saw what I see everyday, you'd of been taken as a wife a long time ago," Phoenix finally answered with a small chuckle.

Siaxx regarded the human woman. "I never thought... I mean I always saw relationships as too much work..." she commented. "Most guys wanted only one thing... I never had any objections really..as it kept them happy and it let me get some peace and quiet.."

"I'll ask all proper, when the time is right..." Phoenix promised. "Right now I gotta know my anger aint gonna hurt ya again. Cause I aim ta protect ya an' love ya."

"When we sort out our present problems and all is right with the world... then we can think about moving forward..." Siaxx commented. "We have friends and family members who needs both of us at the top of our game.... You need to deal with your own demons and the Warden, whenever he deigns to show his ugly assed face on the Starbase.... you won't be facing him alone.. your friends are with you... and so am I."

"Fair enough, My Blue Goddess," Phoenix smiled, very content in the moment as she brushed the side of Siaxx's face with the palm of her real hand.

"Alright..." Siaxx commented, a smile appearing on her face. "I need to start dinner..." but the taller then average Bolian woman did not move.

"What's stoppin' ya?" Phoenix winked with she noticed Siaxx remained planted.

"I can't be bothered to move.." the larger then average Bolian commented. "Considering the ambiance." she regarded Phoenix with a look.

"You'll make me blush, an' I don' like blushin' Goddess," Phoenix smiled, then kissed Siaxx on the cheek.

Siaxx chuckled softly. "I will try to keep that in mind." she commented. "So... chicken for dinner... anything special you want with that?" she inquired.
