Location: Various Locations - Utgarde IV
Timeline: 1900Hrs - October 18th, 2393

Lieutenant Rachael Yamaguchi-Cullen slowly opened the front door as she departed her home on Utgarde IV as she exited what was once her home for the last time, as she turned, she handed the PADD over to the officer who had followed her out, she had a messenger bag over her shoulder and she wore her new starfleet uniform which was a little less formal than her starfighter uniform, it was also made from a thinner material which she wasn't used to wearing. The Lieutenant smiled. "We'll bring in an inspection team and handle matters for this dwelling Lieutenant, but from what I've seen, you took very good care of the dwelling. I expect no concerns with repairs and the like."

"Thank you. I did repair the hole in the wall after Saki put a tennis ball through it." Ripcord answered with a nod.

"I did note that citation, but I'm glad to see it was dealt with. May I ask a personal question?" the man inquired.

Ripcord had a feeling she knew what was coming and she could have easily read his mind but she wished for him to say it aloud. "Sure, what's on your mind?" she answered as she decided to wait for him to ask.

"Does your daughter always like to break things?" he inquired.

"Saki is psionic, she's as strong as I am, perhaps more so." Ripcord answered. "She's also being raised by my husband who is inexperienced in looking after psionic children but that's neither his fault or his error in judgment," she explained in an even tone of voice.

"I see, okay... I was just curious El-Tee. I meant no offense." he answered

"No offense was taken." Ripcord answered. "How soon will I know if there are concerns for this dwelling?" she inquired further.

"If there are any issues, you'll be informed in about a week or so." the Lieutenant answered.

"Fair enough. I'll be long gone by then, on my next assignment, the USS Heart of the Tiger.,"

"A word to the wise, if I may be so bold?" the Lieutenant inquired.

"Of course." Ripcord regarded him, concern shining in her dark eyes.

"Watch yourself around their Chief Medical Officer, during his last stopover here on Vanguard, he cleaned out over a dozen people I know while playing poker, apparently he's really good... or he cheats." the man answered. "He might try his luck with you."

"Oh... Well, that's good to know. I wonder if he'll play poker with me... or blackjack... but I think I can handle him." as she regarded the Lieutenant. " she added as a smile appeared on her face. "I didn't know he played cards... I will need to investigate this little detail..." as her grin slowly turned feral.

"I umm..." he paused as Ripcord smiled. "Do you require me for anything else sir?" she asked of him.

"No El-Tee... I think we're good here." as he turned, finding himself face to face with a small Bolian female who was wearing her command uniform, she regarded the two people before her in silence a moment. "Lieutenant, is all well with Ripcord here?" Siaxx Dvald-Vaxx inquired in a formal tone of voice.

"No. My business with the Lieutenant is completed." he turned to Ripcord. "Thank you for your time El-Tee." and with that, the two parted as Yamaguchi-Cullen moved over to the small Bolian female before her. "Hello Captain." as this might be formal but she didn't know.

"Rachie, fancy meeting you here..." Dvald-Vaxx answered. "Moving out?" she asked.

"Yeah, I need to put my stuff in storage while I'm gone..." Yamaguchi-Cullen answered. "I tend to not keep much, most of what I left behind was sent to Dad's place but I left you a few things." Yamaguchi-Cullen opened her messenger bag and produced her medal of honor. "But this... is for you."

"I can't accept this," Dvald-Vaxx said softly.

"I was in a position to make a difference because of you and what you taught me." as she gently took Dvald-Vaxx's hand in her own, and she gently slipped the medal into her hand before she gently closed the smaller Bolian female's fingers around the medal. "You earned this... I was the one who did the deed but you earned this." Yamaguchi-Cullen answered quietly.

"I am no hero... Not like you and your parents..." Dvald-Vaxx answered softly.

"Not all heroes wear medals," Yamaguchi-Cullen answered evenly. "Take good care Siaxx... But take good care of those within your care..." as she smiled. "You can send Ma'haat out to stay with me for a time should you desire it. I can let him play with Saki, maybe he'll bed her," she added.

Dvald-Vaxx regarded the larger female before her. "Would that trouble you, knowing my son wants to bed your daughter."

"Nah," Yamaguchi-Cullen answered with a gentle smile. "It just means he appreciates her uniqueness and he sees something in her that most don't see..." Yamaguchi-Cullen explained. "But still... It won't be quite the same... But make sure you tell Ma'haat that I will be back... and I expect interesting stories to tell, Saki will expect the same."

Dvald-Vaxx's eyes were big with unshed tears. "I heard you were leaving." as she gently took Yamaguchi-Cullen's hands in her own. "I will miss you, Rachael," she said quietly as Yamaguchi-Cullen gently slipped her arms around the small Bolian as she hugged her close. "I know Siaxx... I only got notice this morning..."

"I know... Captain Hunt contacted me on the details, I am the Exec of Vanguard after all." the small Bolian answered as Yamaguchi-Cullen gently released her from her hug. "I wish you could be here to meet Torilla and Galiaan when they are born..."

"Next leave, I will come back this way... You are not rid of me forever mom. Mom will always be my mom but you are also a parent to me..." he paused. "Serving here on Vanguard with you has been a real special privilege... But my other siblings need you, more then they know... Selendis needs your help, as does Ouros and Lasarra... Give them what you gave me..."

"I will Rachie," Dvald-Vaxx answered as the two women hugged a second time, Yamaguchi-Cullen held the smaller Bolian against her. "I will miss you Siaxx..." Yamaguchi-Cullen commented softly as she gently held the Bolian against her. "But you got other people to hang out with, you got your kids and Galiaan Fordring, you got Beth and all my other family members."

"I know but... You are my Co-Daughter." Dvald-Vaxx answered.

"I know," Yamaguchi-Cullen answered as the Bolian released her from her embrace.
