Mission: Mission 98: Building Our New Home
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard (47)
Timeline: 0900Hrs - May 27th, 2393

Newly promoted Captain Celeste Yamaguchi-Hobbs was still wearing a grin and little else as she walked into the Starbase Hospital which was also still under various stages of construction. She made her way over to the desk. "Hi. I'm Celeste Yamaguchi-Hobbs and I'm here for my coming aboard checkup."

"Ahh, we were told to expect you and to send you to the first available doctor as soon as you checked in. Let me call someone for you."

"Oh," Yamaguchi-Hobbs responded in a hushed tone of voice as the nurse tapped the display before her. "This is the front desk, any available doctor please report to the front desk." came the gentle female voice via the com system.

A few moments later, the doors opened and in came a tall svelte Bolian female, she wore a wide smile on her lips while she approached. "Hello, Captain Yamaguchi-Hobbs. I'm Doctor Heris Dvald and I will be the one to poke and prod you, this way please." and with that, the Bolian turned and led the human female into a nearby medical examination room.

"Take a seat on the bed please." Dvald indicated the bed in the center of the room as the Bolian picked up a PADD. "Computer, begin skeletal and musculature scans, please." the Bolian went to work as she did her full examination of Celeste's body.

Yamaguchi-Hobbs sat in silence as she knew how this worked.

Dvald went through her examinations before she suddenly frowned. "Mmm... This is.. Odd," she muttered

"What do you mean Doctor.?" Yamaguchi-Hobbs inquired.

"I'm going to need to do a closer series of scans. I might have found something odd," she explained evenly.

"How so?" Yamaguchi-Hobbs pressed for details.

"You might have some odd T-Cell anomalies in your pancreas," Dvald explained evenly. "I need to run more tests to be sure, I am not a fan of speculation," Dvald explained as she went to work. Yamaguchi-Hobbs sat in silence, her lips trembled.

"When was your last cycle.?" the Doctor suddenly asked, before she suddenly morphed into a face that resembled her mothers.

Yamaguchi-Hobbs blinked as she heard the same question, but only it was in her mother's voice. "What?" she whispered softly

"When was the first day of your last cycle?". Her mother repeated while wearing Heris Dvald's face.

A sick knot formed in the pit of Celeste's stomach. "I'd say.. about a week ago, I've not bedded anyone recently, well other then my wife, that is."

"Well, that explains it."

"What do you mean.?" Yamaguchi-Hobbs asked quietly.

"You have a hormone imbalance. I can correct this for you right now if you wish."

"Yes. Please. Do so." Yamaguchi-Hobbs demanded a little too quickly.

Dvald lifted a hypo, she then selected a container of medication. "This will restore your hormones back to where they should be, you might feel a little out of sorts for the first little while." the Bolian female explained with a gentle smile.

"Thanks," Yamaguchi-Hobbs responded softly.

Dvald peered at the display. "Mmmm. Okay. I'm going to run some more tests of the data I have obtained here." the tall Bolian female explained with a smile. "Other than then. I'm certifying you, as fit for duty."

"Thanks." Yamaguchi-Hobbs responded as she hopped off of the bed, before she departed in silence. Dvald moved the data to a PADD before she moved into her main office. "Captain Yamaguchi-Hobbs. I suspect that this is going to be intresting." Heris Dvald in a rather soft tone.
