Catching up with my Wife

Mission: Mission 98: Building Our New Home
Location: Yamaguchi Residence, Utgarde and Captain's Quarters - USS Grey Wolf
Timeline: 1900Hrs - September 21st, 2393

Admiral Jake Yamaguchi had just finished putting the twins to bed while he let out a soft sigh, the kits had all made themselves busy with their grooming and thus, Jake had a little alone time so he went over to the desk and he slid his muscular form into the chair behind his desk. He knew he needed to call his spouse. A moment later after sticking in the request with the Starbase Com center, he had Torilla on the screen before him. "Catch you at a bad time Torilla?" he asked of his spouse.

"No Jake, of course not," Yamaguchi answered her husband's statement with one of her own. She smiled at him. "I just got off watch a few hours ago and now it's me and these two." as Grey Wind's head suddenly appeared before Jake, he let out a soft whine as he could see Jake but not smell him. "I hear ya big guy," Yamaguchi commented as she gently brushed his fur with her delicate-looking fingertips. "I heard you had a visitor. Mom-" Torilla explained, referring to Jakes' mother, a woman she considered her own mother too. "-contacted me for my input on the matter." Torilla commented to Jake, she knew her husband's mind as well as he did, she also had an excellent idea as to why he was calling her now.

"I bet she did," Jake answered. "You heard right, of course... Lil'yanna Olmos decided I needed to meet my daughter... The one I had with Nalla." Jake explained simply before he waited for his wife to lose her temper.

"I still can't believe things went down like that..." Torilla commented as she sat back in her chair. "Nalla could have chosen to abort... It would have saved all of us a lot of aggravation and time.." Torilla's attitude regarding Nalla Furban was well known and wasn't something she was subtle about or kept to herself. Many members of her family knew how Torilla felt on the matter. Gabe fell in line behind his mother with Savannah agreeing with him, Rachael didn't like Nalla Furban on principle and Elizabeth was the only moderating voice in the entire group. Selendis didn't know her and thus, didn't like her on that basis, it was more of the same with Ouros who simply didn't care and Lasarra who had other issues to deal with.

"Could she?" Jake answered. "She has no spouse, no way to continue her family line... She has a responsibility to her house..." Jake eye'ed his wife while he spoke.

"I can't believe you agree with her Jake." Torilla's answer was a simple as it was stark. "After what she did to you?!" as she glared at her husband. "I'm surprised you're even giving her the time of day Jake..."

'Yeah, me too!'. Jake thought to himself before he answered his wife. "I don't agree with her, Torilla. But what I do see, is her point of view on the matter." Jake explained evenly. "Olmos also shared a few details with me regarding who so many of our children are assigned to Vanguard or to ships in the 92nd Fleet, the force closest to the base," he explained.

Torilla frowned before her features slackened, as she realized something about what he was saying. "I wondered about that..." she paused. "Olmos called in some favors didn't she?" as she regarded her husband, she didn't need a telepathic connection to her husband to know his mind, his body language screamed it at her. She got her answer before her husband told her.

"She did... That's why Siaxx, Celeste. Elizabeth and Rachael, in particular, are all assigned here. Same with Plataea and Tom Lasky." Jake explained evenly. "She felt that I tend to do better with family present around me." Jake sighed softly. "It was all a lot to process in one go."

Torilla regarded her husband as she smiled at him. "If I had gotten a posting on the Starbase as one of their department heads, I would have agreed with you. However, I am not so sure..." she paused a moment. "Were you given a full list of who was assigned to keep an eye on you.?"

"Anyone who spent any serious time around you and me on the old Roanoke. Heather Duval was a major driving force behind that, she worries about me. Y'know, you'd almost think I was married to her and seeing you on the side. Though I married you and I might want to consider seeing her on the side."

Torilla giggled softly as she processed that detail. "Jake, we all know you have excellent taste in women," she commented, knowing full well that Jake would never even consider making any kind of a move on Heather Duval, she was his boss and his friend, what's more, was that Torilla already knew the other woman worried about Jake as much as she did. "Besides, you are the father of our children." Torilla was very secure with her relationship with her husband and she made sure that he knew of it whenever she got the chance.

"I know... I prefer the company of only one woman in this entire existence, she knows who she is... and when she comes back., I'm going to take her to bed and... Well, I'll leave the rest to her imagination." as he suddenly grinned at his spouse.

Torilla grinned back at her husband, she had missed him and it was showing too. "I look forward to it," she answered. "The Grey Wolf should be putting in for resupply and shore leave in about a week or so... So, unless something comes up, I'll be back in your arms and your bed in about eight days... What's the worst that can happen... you impregnating me?" Torilla gave him a sultry look as if to encourage him.

"That can be arranged," Jake responded, knowing his wife was serious. "If you want?" he added.

Torilla had been expecting Jake to refuse her, citing his massive workload but when he didn't, she decided to do it instead. "Nah... I think we have enough children for now." Torilla answered it wasn't that she didn't want some seriously hot, passionate sex but it was more of a practical nature, Jake was looking after six children almost by himself, he had his mother helping and five of their children were assigned to the Starbase and the planet below at the same time so they also helped. Selendis had been worth her weight in gold as she was getting plenty of child-rearing experience which she felt she needed so she babysat for Jake often. Rachael the younger as she was often nicknamed, also assisted as well as she was still dealing with empty-nest syndrome.

Jake smiled. "Well, when you get here... I'll ask Selendis and Atin to watch these guys for a few days while I make you moan and groan, while I have you."

Torilla nodded, she had expected nothing less than him telling her that he wanted to make her scream. "As I said, I should be there in eight days. I'll wear something appropriate for you." as she suddenly grinned at him, suddenly the com system beeped. "Captain Yamaguchi to the bridge..."

Torilla regarded her husband. "I gotta run. I love you."

"I love you too Torilla, be safe." and with that, she grasped a fistful of her uniform as she hung up on her husband, hurridly, she began to change and then she donned her uniform. Within moments she looked every inch the starfleet Captain before she dashed out the door.
