Fleet Admiral Heather Duval regarded Admiral Jake Yamaguchi in silence for a moment as she shifted how she was sitting on the chair that she had been sitting in for the last few minutes as she knew that he would explain when he was ready and not when she demanded it is so.
Yamaguchi clasped his hands before him. "You are aware of my feelings regarding Nalla Furban?"
"I do." the older human female instantly got annoyed, there was something about the story of what Nalla Furban had done which instantly angered her because of the reaction as a result of what she had done to Jake Yamaguchi and the child he had lost as a result of her simply unreasonable demand that this child be raised as Betazoid Royalty, this was something Duval had known well, this was one of the various reasons why she wished to keep Jake as her Exec for the Taurus Reach. Now clearly there was a development in regards to the Furban situation as she had called it.
Duval nodded her head. "I am. Jeff also told me some details about the matter that you either didn't know about or missed..." as she gently put her hand on top of his two hands. "Jeff has his own opinions on the matter at hand..."
"Jeff Duval is quite simply one of the most reliable, rock-solid and dependable people I've ever worked with," Yamaguchi answered quietly. "He did much to save that crew when he was running their lounge."
"Jeff told me a great deal about that ship, the crews that served aboard her and the insanity that seemed to follow that ship like poison from a wound." the older woman quickly brushed her tresses from her eyes with a quick brush with her left hand. "Go on with what you were saying about-" she then coughed ever so softly, but the subtle hint was there. "Ms. Furban please?"
"I got a visit from Lil'yanna Olmos not even an hour ago... She said she had my lost child with her and she felt it was important that I get to know her... Nalla also doesn't know she is here with the little one... according to Olmos at any rate... Which means this endeavor is a complete and total waste of effort on my part and a waste of time on hers."
"So... Let me see if I got all this right... You wanted to be involved in the first place, from the moment to learned of her pregnancy no less... and she said no fuck off, this is my child, go away seed donor and never darken my door again..." Duval paused, thinking that maybe she was laying it on a little thick but a single look from Jake said that she was more or less accurate with what she was saying.
"Yes, pretty much," Yamaguchi answered simply.
"I don't believe I'm hearing all of this," Duval answered, in an angry tone of voice. "I had my issues with Lawrence and his spouse, but my issues are nothing compared to this... I can only imagine how Torilla will react when she learns of this..."
"Torilla won't take it well, she knows intimately what Nalla did to the inside of my skull. Its been eighteen months and just thinking about Nalla is... intoxicating..." he explained. "Have you ever known what sex with a telepath feels like?"
"I do," Duval admitted. "Especially if they are sharing with you during the encounter itself. It's like... You feed them and they feed you, the emotion and feeling builds and builds. Until you almost feel you are standing in a raging river and you are being swept away in the moment." as she smiled, clearly the memory was a good one for her.
Yamaguchi smiled as he listened to her tale. He decided to share with her one rather precious secret of his relationship with his spouse. "That's normal for me and Torilla. She always shares when we're in bed or wherever we're having sex."
Duval paused. "I envy you Jake." she softly smiled at her friend. "But I know she makes you very happy... Good." she let out a breath she didn't realize that she had been holding. "Yes, very good." as Duval slowly grinned at him, there was something rather unsettling in the smile itself "Would you like me to expedite the departure of the problem Jake?"
"No." Yamaguchi knew that if she did then things could get quite stupid but then Duval never cared for the social niceties of various Federation member worlds because to her, the political systems had their places, so long as they did not interfere with her command and the personel that she minded over.
"Are you sure?" Duval asked him softly. Compassion shining in her dark grey eyes.
"I am... I will deal with this myself. Its past time anyway... If Nalla wants my help with this little one then I will make her pay for it." Yamaguchi paused a moment. "It's as simple as that."
"Good." Duval smiled. "So long as you don't let your emotions get in the way, Jake... But take care not to let the matters of the heart overcome the good judgment of your head." she gently ran her hand over his shoulder, as if he was her child and she was trying to soothe his nerves. "It'll be okay Jake. Somehow, we will settle this once and for all."
"I hope so... I'm tired of having a third person in bed with me when I'm trying to remind my wife why I prefer her company... Torilla knows my siege and she's been helping to pry Nalla loose from the inside out..."
"With a telepathic merger. A good plan actually." Duval slowly smiled. "Lets you and your wife rebond and keeps Nalla at a distance." as she rose to her feet. "That's all we needed to discuss... You gonna be alright?"
"I will be," Yamaguchi answered evenly as he smiled. Duval suddenly gave Jake a hug as she gently held him close to her. "Its gonna be alright Jake... if worst comes to worst. I will deal with this issue myself, just say the word alright?"
"I will Heather... Thanks." Jake answered with a nod of his head.
