"We need to talk?" Borodin inquired, in a rather confused tone of voice.
Yamaguchi-Hobbs regarded him. "Yes. We do," she answered, in a more confident tone of voice. "The issue between you and my spouse is affecting your working relationship with me." the tall female explained evenly.
"You have cause to make it so," Borodin answered evenly. "I have my concerns..." he added a moment later.
"But have I done so as yet?" Yamaguchi-Hobbs answered in a light tone of voice. "Vasily. What happened was between you and Bree, she dealt with it to the best of my knowledge. I do not babysit her and nor do I need to protect her." Yamaguchi-Hobbs nodded her head. "I do not need to make an issue where none exists."
"You'll forgive me if I don't exactly believe you," Borodin answered in a flat tone of voice.
"That's understandable, I doubt I'd believe me if I said it to myself at the same time." Yamaguchi-Hobbs agreed. "But you and Bree talked the matter over?"
"We did, yes," Borodin commented. "the Colonel also said that I was worrying over nothing."
"Vassily, if I wanted to make an issue, I would not be starting it now, I would have started it when Bree became pregnant and not waited." the tall female explained. "I got enough problems in life, I do not need any more," Yamaguchi-Hobbs explained in an even tone of voice.
"That's also what the Colonel said on the subject," Borodin answered in a quiet tone of voice.
"So..." Yamaguchi-Hobbs regarded him with a gentle smile on her lips. "Why did you not listen to her?" as she raised an eyebrow as if indicating that she had said something provocative and it had demanded a response.
"Because I had no way to know you would not make an issue with me over what happened to your spouse," Borodin answered evenly.
"What about your own wife?." Yamaguchi-Hobbs inquired. "Does Jordan know of all of this drama?" she added a moment later, after thinking about it.
"Yes, Jordan knows about all of this, she was not happy but she understood what happened and why it happened." Borodin sighed softly. "We both decided to not tell the kids about what happened," he added.
"That's understandable," Yamaguchi-Hobbs answered in an even tone of voice as she regarded him with a smile on her face. "Vasily, really... Stop worrying about things. Bree asked that I stay out of all of this, I gave her my word that I would... Besides, she's a big girl and she does not need me to babysit her."
Yamaguchi-Hobbs added. "There is no need to make an issue... Because none exists."
"Oh..." Borodin commented evenly. "You'll forgive me if I expected you to say any of this... I was expecting-" he was cut off as Yamaguchi-Hobbs interrupted. "I know what you were expecting because it's easy to do... It's easy for me to mark the line in the sand and say 'cross it at your peril' as its easy for me to do it, but I am not the one who had the issue at hand. I have my children to look after and I'm always telling them to have an open mind... I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't practice what I preached." as she regarded the Russian male before her. "Besides, if I was going to make an issue, I would have done so, regardless of Bree's opinion, she asked me to not make one and I gave her my word that I wouldn't." she paused. "I also decided that there was not an issue I needed to address. Bree did so." Yamaguchi-Hobbs paused. "All of that said, if I had an issue that I wished to address with you then I would deal with the matter before us, quietly and in a respectful manner. I do not need to make drama."
"Fair enough," Borodin answered in a defeated tone of voice.
Yamaguchi-Hobbs regarded him. "Don't trouble yourself with the matter, Vasily. You had your reasons for why you thought the way you did and I do understand why." she paused. "So let me tell you to your face, I don't have issues with you. Bree addressed the concern with you and I'm leaving it alone. I don't need to add to it, as I said earlier."
"Fair enough..." Borodin paused. "I was expecting issues," he admitted in a quiet tone.
"I understand, some people don't know how to deal with issues without causing drama on the subject, something I honestly find distasteful because they can't respect the other person in the matter," Yamaguchi-Hobbs answered evenly. "But you have nothing to fear, the matter was addressed and dealt with by the people involved. I have no need to worry about it."
"Alright. Thank you." Borodin answered with a soft sigh. "I will remember that, going forward."
"Good," Yamaguchi-Hobbs answered. "I'll leave you to it, I'm gonna go back to work... Thanks for your time." and with that, the tall female turned and departed.
