Ironhide blinked as he slowly woke up, his alarm clock beeped at him, that now was the hour and his time for resurrection back to the land of the living was at hand, his torpor had ended as he slowly sat up in bed, this had the effect of waking his girlfriend who was also the Chief Sergent of the Starfighter Corps unit aboard the ship, while she was subordinate to Ironhide, she also answered to the Deck Boss who answered to Ironhide.

Nadine Jes-Tereth regarded her boyfriend as she sighed softly. "Do you always get up so early?" she inquired softly as she likewise woke up.

"Most mornings, yeah," Ironhide answered. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you," he commented as he slid his legs out of the bed and he began to don his uniform. Jes-Tereth knew that since he was getting dressed, it was time for her to do so as well, she got up out of bed and went over to the overnight bag she had brought with her the previous evening, she produced a consignment of clothing, she then quickly began to don her clothing.

There was a sudden crash in the next room as Ironhide froze, he turned his head to regard his girlfriend who nodded to him, she was also busy pulling on her skirt that she had planned on wearing while Ironhide slowly moved to stand next to the bedroom door, the door opened and out went Ironhide like a quantum missile, as he crashed into three strange masked men. Jes-Tereth followed him out the door as she snarled something in a foreign language which the translator either caught or missed as she dove into the fray without question or hesitation, wearing only a skirt and her undershirt.

The three men all flew apart as Ironhide impacted the three men, he then went for the closest attacker to him, one of them pulled a knife and went for Ironhide but Jes-Ereth caught him first, she caught his hand with her own before she rabbit-punched him in the chest several times, she then grasped him by the throat before she smashed his head into the deck, he quickly was knocked unconscious before she felt someone kick her in the back while she was distracted, she went down with a loud cry.

Meanwhile, Ironhide was busy grappling with the man he had been fighting with before he finally realized that he was strangling the man, he then headbutted him and the man finally gave up the ghost as he dropped to the deck. Ironhide turned to see Jes-Tereth pinned in place with the third attacker with a large knife in hand, ready to stab her.

Ironhide saw red as the blood rage boiled within him. He had failed twice before to save people he cared for and he grabbed the third attacker from behind, he snapped the man's neck before he grabbed the man's knife out of his dying hands, he then pushed the new corpse away before he reached down and pulled Jes-Tereth to her feet. "I see now... why they call... you... Ironhide..." she managed between coughs, her right hand went to gently massage her throat.

Ironhide nodded. "Yeah... It doesn't mean I need to like it though..." he frowned. "What brought this on... and since when do Starfleet officers try to murder each other.?" he turned to face his girlfriend. "Are you alright?" he gently placed his hand on her shoulder before he gently brushed her hair out of her eyes.

"I've been better... I mean I've had better mornings... What's all this about anyway?" the black-haired female inquired as she regarded Ironhide with a tired look.

"Your guesswork is as good as mine... But hopefully, some answers will be forthcoming." Ironhide turned as he heard one of the three men moaning softly. "Hello?" he shouted at the man who winced in pain back at him. "Uh..." the man sighed before Ironhide grabbed him none too gently and all but hauled him unceremoniously to his feet. Ironhide looked downright angry before he all but threw him into a chair. "Ohhh... Gimme a break will ya?" as he moaned when Ironhide seized one of his fingers and began to bend it backward in a classic finger lock.

"Sure, what would you like?. An Arm?. A Leg?... Can't do Broken hearts, we've had a bit of a ruin on those recently." Ironhide answered. "You see... You and your buddies here failed... You tried to kill me and the lady here... Well, you and these two fine examples of whatever species they were..." Ironhide added.

"Well... Maybe I have... Information?" the man answered.

Ironhide turned to regard Jes-Tereth who was now donning her uniform jacket and her boots. "You see, it's like I've always said... You get more with a kind word and a two by four then you can with just a kind word..." he turned his attention back to his attacker, turned victim. "Please... By all means... Continue." he added a moment later.

"Fine... I was sent with my two men to rough you two up, drop some drugs and then call it in with security, make it look like a drugs heist gone wrong... With Commander Watseka out of the scene... Who would tell the difference?"

"Drugs... Wonderfull. It's just like you human defense league fools to keep things nice and intrestin'." Ironhide answered.

"Why us?" Jes-Tereth inquired in a gentle tone of voice. "Why him and me?."

The man knew that the game was up and so he decided it was best to save his own skin while he still had a skin to save. "That's because.. You were the commander of the Starfighter corps unit aboard, eliminating both of you and Warlock would have greatly served our causes... " he sighed. "Security is leaderless and so is the marine presence aboard..." he paused. "Draw your own conclusions..." he added in a rather cold and demeaning tone of voice.

"I already did. I'm going to make sure I'm sitting at your court marshall as they lock you away forever." he smiled. "Then I'm going to come back home, take my girl to bed and fuck her into next week." he grinned at him before he hauled off and punched the man once in the face. The man dropped in silence as Raynor sighed softly.

Jes-Tereth regarded Ironhide. "I look forward to the sex."

Ironhide smiled at her. "Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind."

"Romantic... Now for battle?" Jes-Tereth answered with a soft grin.

"In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modest stillness and humility; but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger; stiffen the sinews, disguise fair nature with hard favored rage..." he answered. "We need to find the Captain..." he turned as he indicated the Jeffries tube entrance. "Come on, out the hard way."

"Oh, you know your Shakespeare... You'll have to teach me with that tongue of yours." as he pulled the cover off, he then entered the tube followed by her, before she lifted the cover and pulled it closed behind her.
