Tienn Koll growled softly as he stepped out of the shuttle, he tapped the display on the shuttle with his fingers while the door slid closed behind him, the weather was good and warm, a little too warm for the local environment as he breathed in and then back out again. The scent of home and the coolness of the air told Koll that this place was home to him. He went over towards the front door of his home as the sunlight shone out across the valley behind him. He tapped the door buzzer and found himself face to face with Tienn Iteela, his sister that Koll had attainted two years ago for questioning her faith, he was starting to wonder if he had gone far enough in dealing with her, he dismissed the thought a moment later. "Hello." he greeted her politely enough. "Is father present?" he inquired, as well as tossing a reminder that she had no place here.

Iteela regarded him, a rather disinterested look in her eyes spoke volumes as she answered him. "Our father is in his study, he is expecting you." and with that, she turned away and stepped back towards the kitchen. Jerric was making dinner and the scent of freshly cooked hasperat could be detected. Jerric was always good with good as Koll nodded to him in passing before he reached his destination. He knocked on the floor and was permitted access to his father's study. "Father."

"Have a seat Koll. What happened the other night concerns me. Why did you overreact the way you did?"

"Nerra and Iteela were both attainted, my daughter made her choice when she had Noel and I didn't expect any of them to come home," Koll answered bluntly. "What they did was offensive to our faith."

"But the choice to attaint the three of them was my choice, you took that matter away from me." Kenris regarded his son. "Why?"

"I sought only to save you the trouble." Koll tried to answer.

"That doesn't answer my question," Kenris answered bluntly. "You knew that what you said would cause problems. Nerra, Iteela, and Durin are here because I asked them to come, I wanted you to atone to them for what you did. Do not even bother to deny it, I know what you did. What you did was to make a mockery of our faith. Your mother and I raised you to be better than this Koll and you know it."

"Will you rescind their attainder?" Koll asked bluntly.

There was a sudden crash as Kenris slammed his fist into the desk as his temper melted down. "What part of atoning did you not understand?... Which was it... Tell me now? prophets-dammit." he raised his voice. "Its time that you corrected your error in judgment. If you can't do that then I will deal with you. For your crimes against our family."

Koll paused, this was unexpected and the look on his face said as much. "Well... I... Ummm." he paused as he suddenly had no idea of what to say on the subject.

Kenris raised an eyebrow as he regarded his son. "I expect you to go and rectify your error in judgment or I will do so myself, you caused this issue in our family, not me and not your sisters. You are solely to blame and I expect you to deal with this. Am I clear?"

Koll knew he was beaten, the look on his face said as much too. "Yes, father."

"Good. I will leave the matter with you but... Koll, I will not tolerate any more of this insanity on this matter..." Kenris explained. "Your wife is ready to leave you, your eldest child wants nothing to do with you and your other children hate and resent you. To say nothing of how your siblings feel about you. But I recommend you do something about your situation because people are getting rightly sick of your antics..." Kenris then indicated the door with a nod of his head. "Send in Iteela, on your way out please?"

Koll sighed as he rose to his feet and went out the door. He went over towards Iteela who was presently making a hesperat mix. "father wants to talk to you," he said once he was close enough.

"I see," Iteela answered as she placed the large bowl in her delicate-looking fingers onto the table top as she went towards her father's study. Jeric watched the exchange in silence, while Koll regarded his brother. "Do you... need a hand.?"

"No. I'm good," Jerric answered quietly.

"Okay." and with that, Koll turned and moved into the next room

Jerric regarded his brother in silence, it had been a long time since he had offered anything to anyone but Jerric had a lot to do and he had been deprived of a steady pair of hands to deal with Koll's mess, so he didn't want Koll present as it would be a hindrance and not a help.

Iteela knocked on the door to her dad's study. "Come in." came the response from inside.

Kenris sat back in his chair as he regarded his daughter while she entered. "Iteela, I didn't think anyone was expecting to see you or Nerra here at this event, but its good to see you."

"It is good to be seen," Iteela answered in her flat tone of voice.

"Is something wrong?" Kenris inquired as he noted her tone of voice, it didn't match what he remembered of her.

"You must mean my state of mind and how I talk to people these days. I am satisfactory, do not be troubled by my concerns." Iteela answered.

Kenris blinked. "Don't take this the wrong way but you sound, almost like a Vulcan would."

"Ahh. You were not informed then?." Iteela answered, still making no move to sit down while she remained standing in the center of the room.

"Iteela, have a seat? would ya?" Kenris answered evenly.

Iteela did so without comment or argument, she slid her slender form into a chair as she regarded her father in silence. All of this was downright unnerving to Kenris who had never seen Iteela act anything near to this. "So what happened?"

"The short version of the events is that I was injured, thanks to a secret service detail that was stationed on the ship I was assigned to, due to a misunderstanding that had gotten out of hand, they proceeded to assault many of the members of my medical unit. Killing one of them and injuring many more, including me. Had it not been for some heroics from our remaining medical team, I would have died." Iteela explained in her now normal flat tone of voice. "I should have died that day but when I recovered. They discovered that I had severe trauma in several sections of my brain." she regarded her father a moment before she proceeded. "I was sent to our Akurian battlecruiser so their medical officers could assist me, they succeeded but the Vulcans were the best at putting my mind back together. Upon arrival at Vulcan, I spent time in the company of a Vulcan healer who was able to assist me in repairing much of the damage that was done, however, my old personality is the main casualty of the event in question." she paused. "She is lost forever."

"Oh My... How does Nerra factor into this?" Kenris inquired.

"Nerra questioned that what happened to me had shaken her faith in the Prophets. I can say I agreed with her." Iteela answered in a light tone of voice.

"Koll had her attainded for that?" Kenris's disgust was becoming more and more clear with each passing second.

"He did. Yes." Iteela answered. "When Durin protested our treatment, he did the same to her."

"I will deal with this myself. Thank you Iteela, you have been most helpful." Kenris responded. "How's the food coming along?" he smiled at her.

"Preparations are coming along nicely. We will be ready soon. May I return to my cooking?" Iteela explained before asking to be dismissed.

"Of course," Kenris answered, he watched his daughter rose to her feet and depart in silence. He sighed softly as he had no idea how to communicate with her anymore, however, this was unimportant, as Iteela was skin his little girl and he would not treat her any differently than he had before.
