Mission 120: All Along the Watchtowers - Part Two
Location: Various Locations - USS Gorkon
Timeline: 1225Hrs - January 29th, 2394
Captain Davijaan Yeager regarded the Vulcan woman who had once captured his heart all those years ago. Now he knew that his chickens had come home to roost. "Well, don't be," Yeager commented. "Tonight, after you get off watch. Call me, and the three of us can chat. I'll introduce Talon to Kodian. Besides, don't you and Talon know each other?" Yeager inquired of the Vulcan woman facing him.
"I was her mentor during her younger years. I spent as much time looking after Melody as she did." Slisik slowly smiled. "She was such a well-behaved child." Slisik's smile faded. "Had I known what he had done to her? I would happily dance in his blood and make him unto dust." she suddenly glared at Yeager. "I know he got his face smashed in a few times by a few different people for his treatment of Talon." her black rage faded as she schooled her features back into her usual calm and implacable demeanour. "But I never got to tell him exactly what I thought of him." she found herself suddenly going to war with herself over the matter. Part of her wanted to reject the emotional connection entirely. While another part of her, an older and far more primal part of her, wanted to claim victory using any and all means needed.
Yeager regarded the Vulcan woman as she fought this silent war within herself. "There were things I wanted from Talon that I had no idea how to express," she admitted. "She and I did have that one encounter. Did she tell you?"
"Talon did. She makes it sound like a porn novel." Yeager commented with a gentle smile. "I know you did things to her that still make her tingle with excitement," Yeager explained.
Slisik slowly smiled. "She was diverting. She made me scream with what she did to me. I almost didn't get out of bed the next day." she added. "But that said. I look forward to meeting you two again." she then sighed. "I should be going. I have a lot to get to and not a lot of time to do it. I will call you back later this evening. Alright. We can talk more then."
"Of course. The demands of work wait for none. Besides, the devil's hands are never idea." Yeager commented. "I do understand and I'll let Talon know to expect your call," he added.
Slisik nodded her head, accepting this. "Very well. Thank you Davijaan. For your candour, your respect and for your time." she explained.
"Be safe out there. Slisik. I want you back in one piece." He commented. "Yeager out." With that out of the way, the screen went back, with the great seal of the Federation in blue with the words 'END TRANSMISSION.' highlighted below it.
Slisik had not expected the conversation to go in the direction that it had, nor had she expected Yeager to give her time the of day. Considering, she had all but begged him not to consider Kodian as his child. Now, ten years later, she found herself cursing her own stupidity. Slisik had not foreseen the possibility that Yeager would accept her in his life to the level that he had. Nor had she foreseen the possibility that he would accept her child as his own. However, since this was now a possibility. It was one that she was fully prepared to take advantage of the matter at hand. A smile graced her lips as she thought about it. She missed Talon and Davijaan. So maybe she could reconnect with him and let her daughter meet her various siblings.
Slisik turned her chair as she ordered herself her preferred drink. A smile graced her lips as she picked up the glass. It was a drink that Talon had been introduced to when the two were working together when Talon had been a much younger woman. Slisik had been babysitting Melody when she was a little girl. The drink was a sweet beverage called Orange Punch.
She then placed her drink on the tabletop as she went to work. She knew that all of her ordinance stocks needed to be pulled out and inspected. All of the warhead's guidance systems would need to be checked over. The Vulcan woman sat back in her chair as she began drafting orders to attend to the matters presently facing the Gorkon. She called in her four top people. Upon the arrival of these four people. She began dishing out her orders in regard to what she wanted done. Also, she was fully willing to provide an explanation if requested. Which one of the people inquired? So Slisik explained that they were hunting for the USS Enyo. A Discovery class large cruiser that had been stolen from Spacedock, the Gorkon had been tasked with getting her back.
