Commander Slisik regarded her old friend and father to her daughter. "I contacted you because I needed to apologize to your face." the small-framed Vulcan woman started. "I also want to explain myself, and though I don't dare hope for too much. I still wanted to tell you that you were right all along," she commented. "About Kodian. You tried telling me before she was born that she would want to know who her father was someday. In my stubborn pride. I refused to listen. But that day has now come." she explained. "Kodian wishes to know who her father is."

"Slisik. What happened?" Yeager regarded her with a quiet resolve to see this conversation though. He addressed her in his usual soft tones.

"Kodian asked me who her father was. So I mentioned your name, thinking that it would alleviate her concern. What I failed to consider was that Kodian would look you up." she explained. Within ten minutes, she had found you and I was informed that she had sent you a message asking a simple question. Imagine my horror when she informed me of the details. Then you responded." the small-framed Vulcan woman explained. "I had no idea she would even seek to look. She had never cared to do so before."

Yeager nodded his head. "She was civil about it. Kodian mentioned who she was and who you were in relation to her. She also said that she didn't wish to upset or offend me, but might I donate a DNA sample for the genealogy experiment she was presently running. I saw no reason to refuse a child's request. So I sent it." he commented. "You should be getting the item in about a week or so," he added. "I suspected that she was the child I had with you a decade ago, thats the other reason I didn't refuse her. Besides. You and I always got along really well. I also know that you and Talon know each other as well." he added.

Slisik regarded him in silence as she processed that detail. It was something she had not expected him to do. But maybe she should have. A request from someone he didn't know, and he answered it with his DNA. Yeager had always been a kind and good man. Slisik also knew the hazard with good men. They tended to give more than they got, so after a time they became jaded and tended to lose their way when others took advantage of them. Nice guys needed to be looked after and Talon had explained this to Slisik often enough. She also agreed with him. "How is Talon doing these days?" she inquired.

"She's tired most of the time. Dealing with our small army of children will do that." Yeager suddenly grinned at the Vulcan woman sitting before him. "Her workload is a hefty one, being a Fleet Executive Officer. But she tries to make time for all of the kids. I know she'll be overjoyed to see you again. But be warned. If you come to visit. I suspect she will want to bed you."

"I am inclined to allow her to bed me. It's been a while for me." Slisik admitted. "I wonder if your kids would accept Kodian." she inquired directly.

"They would," Yeager answered. "I have multiple children with multiple women," he explained. "I can give you a full list if you want."

"Sure. Why not." Slisik smiled at him, as she took a moment to embrace the emotion she felt at the moment. This was something she normally didn't do. Yeager noticed as he smiled. "I see you still feel emotions, Slisik. I didn't think you still continued to do your explorations of emotional experiences."

"Of course I do. So long as I don't do it around other Vulcan's." The Vulcan woman explained. "Some do not care for it while others actively repress it," she added.

Yeager knew all of this from when he last spent time with Slisik a couple of years earlier. It had been Slisik who had encouraged him to make a move on Talon before their relationship had started. It was simply because she had been unavailable at the time. So she had pointed Yeager in Talon's direction. Now two years on, she had been gratified that she had done so in the first place. She knew that Talopn had needed someone in her life who would not treat her as arm candy like Jerome Hunt had done. Slisik would not admit to expressing anger or rage, but when she found out the full details of what Jerome Hunt had done to her prize student. She had felt a desire to murder Hunt and scatter his ashes upon the wind. "I'll admit I was unsure of how I felt when Kodian had informed me of what she had done," she commented in a soft tone of voice.
