Mission 120: All Along the Watchtowers - Part Two
Location: Various Locations - USS Gorkon / USS Shinano
Timeline: 1215Hrs - January 29th, 2394
Commander Slisik walked into her office. She slid her lithe form into the chair as she tapped the display. She tapped her combadge as she called in two of her people into her office. Don't knock, just come right on in as they were wanted, and Slisik desired to speak with the two men right away. Within several minutes. The two men were sitting before her as Slisik regarded both men. "Very well. I've called you both in as I want you both to pull all of our warheads, regardless of size and use, out of storage and give them the once over. I want to prepare for war. Because as of ten minutes ago, The USS Gorkon is operating on a war footing." The small-framed Vulcan woman explained in plain and simple terms.
The older of the two men simply nodded in silence. The other man regarded the Vulcan. "Very well. I assume we start as soon as we leave here?" it was more of a rhetorical question than an actual inquiry.
"Yes, gentlemen," Slisik answered. "The USS Enyo has been stolen from the spacedock on Starbase Thirty Nine Sierra." the Vulcan female explained. "We have been asked to go hunt her down, recover her and/or stop her from achieving her goals. Whatever those might be. Using any and all of our resources to accomplish these goals." she added.
The first man. Lt Commander James Bradshaw nodded. "So we're being sent to stop some criminals from walking with a Federation starship. Sounds easy enough," he answered in a flat tone. "Hauling all of our starship-grade munitions out of storage and checking everything over will take a couple of days, considering what we have in inventory," he responded with a soft sigh. "But I will try and spread it along," he added.
"That is fine. But I wish it done as soon as possible." Slisik answered with a nod of her head. "Since the hunt for the USS Enyo has now begun. We will need to be ready to face her in battle as soon as we can make it happen," she added.
Bradshaw nodded his head. "Then sir. I'd best get out there and get on with it," he commented.
"Please, Commander. Keep me informed." Slisik answered with a nod of her head. She turned to the other officer before her. "I'm going to ask you specifically to check the target acquisition software package only. Make sure the system can't be jammed by the Enyo. I do not wish to become a victim of spoofing or jamming." the Vulcan explained. "When we find the USS Enyop. I want to be able to disable her and then have her be boarded without delay," she commented. "Our goal will be to take her down, breach her shields and prevent her from running away. The Marines will handle the boarding, and security will be protecting us from the same douchebaggery they did against the USS Enyo." the Vulcan woman answered with a nod of her head.
"I understand ma'am. It'll be done." The Lieutenant answered with a nod of his head.
"Very well. Go to it, Lieutenant. Keep me informed."
"Yes ma'am." The human male nodded at her. He rose to his feet before he departed. This left Slisik alone. She was not a large-framed woman, but she was known for having an impressive level of physical strength. She liked a good workout, and often spent a good amount of time in the gym as a result of this. She tapped the display once, while she settled in to read her paperwork.
Over the course of the next hour of her life. Slisik finished her paperwork. The Vulcan woman then gently tapped her combadge that was affixed to her chest above her breasts. "Slisilk to Com center. I'd like to contact the USS Shinano. I would like a word with the Chief of Staff for the Executive Officer of the Ninty second fleet." the Vulcan explained what she wanted. However not why she wanted it. "Mark it as personal," she added.
"Aye Commander. Placing your call now." came the response. Slisik knew that this conversation would be very short, straight to the point and quite one-sided. "I earned this," she muttered to herself.
The screen suddenly lit up with the face of a man she had come to know very well. Davijaan Yeager suddenly smiled as he regarded her. "Slisik." he almost purred at her. "I was actually just thinking of you."
"Well, thats disturbing," Slisik responded, a soft smile on her face. "I don't have a lot of time but I had a few moments to myself. So I am about to stick in a request with you and Talon." she paused. "We have an issue brewing here that I can't go into details about. Suffice it to say the details will be hitting the news service shortly. You will understand when you see the story break live," she paused. "But thats not why I contacted you."
