I See Through a Glass, Darkly - Part Four

Posted on Fri Mar 20th, 2020 @ 6:25am by Commander Tienn Iteela & Lieutenant JG Tienn Durin & Tienn Jaina & Lieutenant Colonel Tienn Nerra

Mission: Mission 102: Sic Transit Tienn
Location: Various Locations - Bajor
Timeline: 1300Hrs - August 5th, 2393

Tienn Nerra was standing next to her sister-in-law in the center of the arrivals terminal of the Ashalla Spaceport, they were expecting the arrival of the patriarch of the Tienn clan. Tienn Kenris was returning home from vacationing on Betazed. When he had heard his long lost wife was coming home, he had not believed that she was alive and well, it had been thirty years and he could not have been expected to believe that she was alive and well.

Nerra turned to her sister-in-law. "You seem disgruntled. You okay?"

"Mmm... Oh, sorry, I'm just thinking." Prinu answered quietly. "I don't know how this is going to go."

"Don't worry about it, Dad will manage things himself," Nerra explained. "Don't worry about things you can't control and don't control the things you worry about, let them try to resolve themselves before you try and interfere."

"Mmm... Sound advice." Prinu answered, a gentle smile playing at her lips. "Y'know, your brothers made you out to be the bad girl of the family."

"They were not wrong," Nerra answered. "Oh, I was a right little asshole at times. Khosst Amojan himself would have shit himself had he faced me, especially when I was at my worst." she smiled. "I grew out of it though, after that incident with the four of us and those two Cardassian guards, Both guards were trying to rape both Ezas and Kerris at the same time. They assumed that Iteela and I would both be no threat since we were much younger, I had the chance and I took it. Learning how to use phasers was a breeze after that." she shrugged in a matter that said a lot without saying much of anything.

"I actually didn't know that story," Prinu admitted quietly.

"Ezas sure doesn't like to talk about it. I recommend you not ask her, or Kerris, either, for that matter." Nerra paused. "They failed with Kerris but they succeeded in raping Ezas before I killed him." she let out a sigh. "My spouse is a Klingon and he's been teaching me the arts of war." Nerra sighed softly. "Of the four of us, Ezas turned out to be the most normal. She and Iteela are both Doctors and I'm an engineer." she paused. "While Kerris spent her time in security, what does that tell you about Kerris?" Nerra gave Prinu a pointed look.

"She likes the manly approach?" Prinu answered, a wry smile on her lips.

"No," Nerra answered. "She was the average one in a house of exceptional people," she added.

"You don't think less of her for it.?" Prinu looked concerned.

"Oh prophets, no. Kerris should actually be commended for her work. Nerra answered. "She will make a fine Executive officer and a fine Captain when the time comes." Nerra smiled. "She'll be the first Captain Tienn in Starfleet. She's worked very hard and she's earned her chance. With Fleet Captain Torilla Yamaguchi in her corner, she'll get a command soon enough."

"Nice. I wasn't sure if she wanted a command, considering how long she had been in security."

"Kerris was more concerned of her family, commendable really," Nerra answered. "I'm about to start doing the same thing, as she does," she added, meanwhile the arrival doors to the terminal opened and out came several people, most of them were weary travelers or were sightseers on vacation, when suddenly around the corner came Tienn Kenris. He looked grizzled and determined but he also looked old. He gave the crowd the once over before he found himself looking into the eyes of his baby girl. "Nerra..." he greeted his baby girl before he gave his daughter a hug, followed by him greeting Prinu with a hug and a kiss of her own as she greeted her father-in-law.

Nerra hugged her father back. "Hey dad, its good to see you." she greeted him in a cheery manner.

"You too, sweetie." He paused. "Why did you come in uniform...?" he inquired.

"Well. I didn't really have a lot to wear and I figured the uniform was fine until I unpacked. Besides I'm used to living out of a backpack."

"Comes from your time as a Marine?." Kenris inquired. "So, where are we parked?" he added.

"It did," Nerra answered as Prinu smiled. "In lot three, you got everything?"

"I do," Kenris answered and with that, the three began moving away from the arrival terminal, as they sought out their shuttle. Ten minutes or so later, the three of them were airborne as they headed home for the second time this fine day. "Well, everyone is gathering. We're just waiting for Koll now." Nerra slowly grinned.

Kenris slowly smiled. "This should be interesting." he paused. "Promise me something Nerra?"

"What's that?" Nerra asked quietly."I'll do what I can... For you, Dad." she added, as she had a good idea of what he wished of her.

"Do not hurt him." Kenris inquired evenly. "I know you really want to hurt him for his crimes against you and our family... Everyone seems to want to kill him or maul him or maim him, of late..." Kenris paused with a sigh. "I am going to have my hands full as Koll seems to have not learned anything..." he sighed softly.

"Okay, Dad. I won't kill him..." Nerra answered. "However, I will not promise to not hurt him." as she grinned at her dad.
