Mission:
Mission 102: Sic Transit Tienn
Location: Various Locations - High Orbit - Bajor
Timeline: 0800Hrs - August 5th, 2393
The transport emerged from Warp at about oh seven hundred hours, about twenty minutes earlier than expected. The four Tienn women were all sharing one set of quarters, Tienn Jaina was asleep in the double bed, her granddaughter was asleep next to her, Tienn Iteela was sleeping on the sofa while Tienn Nerra was lying on the floor, likewise asleep. The intercom beeped. "Now hear this, now hear this. Good Morning ladies and gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking. We have arrived at Bajor. We'll be landing in thirty minutes. Thank you for flying Federation Spaceways." and with that, the com system cut out.
The Tienn women all woke up more or less all at once, as Tienn Durin got up first, she placed her feet into the deck as she began to don her clothing, Tienn Jaina followed suit a moment later. Tienn Nerra looked up at the ceiling above her. "Is it noon already?" she inquired of her relatives, as she smiled.
"Yep. Come on." Iteela commented. "Time to get up..." she added as she yawned loudly. "Time to get ready..."
Nerra sat up. "Alright, I'm up, I'm up." as she began to don her clothing. Within a few minutes, the four women were ready to arrive as the Transport entered Bajor's atmosphere, on approach to the spaceport of Ashalla. Bajor's capital before it landed in the spaceport. The airlock was opened and the passengers began to disgorge, the four Tienn women were among them.
In the welcome terminal. There were two others who were waiting for the Tienn women who they knew was coming. Tienn Marja had a dark skin tone, much like her husband, she had a Nubian skin tone and her hair was long and dark. She stood in at an average height of about 5'7 in height and had a medium build. She was wearing a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt.
Marja smiled as she nodded to her sibling in law, the two had married into the Tienn family and both were waiting for their family members. Marja was not happy with her husband but she knew that Koll had his issues, he was a good father most of the time and a good husband, most of the time but he had a lot of enemies at present, including members of his own family. She was wanting and trying to stay out of it.
Tienn Prinu looked like she had something of an Indian look, she was svelte and dainty looking, with a petite build and she was also shorter than the average, standing in somewhere at about 5'3 in height, she was wearing a pair of khaki pants and a medium jacket. She smiled as she regarded her sibling in law. "Do you think they are late?"
"Probably," Marja answered with a smile. "Customs can always be a pain," she added.
As the two women spoke, the large set of double doors opened and in came the several dozen people from the transport that had just landed not long earlier, began to pour through as Marja found herself looking into the eyes of her eldest daughter who had just come around the corner. "They are here." Marja waved at Durin who waved back. Marja noticed that Durin was in uniform, same with Nerra and Iteela. The only one who wasn't was Jaina who had come as well.
"Hey ladies." Prinu greeted her kin with a wide smile and a hug for each of them. "Welcome home," she added as Marja likewise welcomed her kin home. "Welcome ladies. Let's get out of here," she commented. "The family is gathering, everyone else should be here by tonight," Prinu commented with a smile. "Everyone will there."
"Good," Jaina commented with a smile. "Its good to see you two."
"Likewise, we all thought you were dead," Marja commented quietly. "We heard how you were found."
Nerra smiled at her sister-in-law. "Well, my team was passing through the various farmsteads on the Tuanko colony, It was listed under mom's husband's name so I thought I'd be dealing with a Cardassian. It was chance really." she paused. "Ezas was present for this and Kerris was also present to help with the plague." she paused. "It was similar to the common cold from Earth, only much more virulent but nobody was really in danger of dying."
"Sounds nasty," Prinu answered as she frowned. "You did take care of matters., right?"
"Oh yes, we did, it was the richness of the life in the water," Iteela answered with a smile. "But once we were assigned to Vanguard. Nerra was based on the world of Utgarde and mom settled there as well, with her second family."
"Second family... I'm sensing there is a story there." Marja inquired.
"Yes," Jaina commented evenly. "I was told that my entire family, my husband, and children were all dead and I was the last. Information during and just after the end of the occupation was hard to come by and I wasn't sure I wanted to know what happened." she paused. "Almar didn't come along because he knew he would not be welcome here on Bajor."
Prinu couldn't argue with the point. "I can't really say much on that point," she responded as Marja regarded her daughter. "I didn't expect to see you."
"I have problems with dad, its time to address them, mom," Durin responded evenly.
"I understand. Did you bring Noel?" Marja inquired, about her granddaughter.
"No, I left her with kin on Utgarde." Durin answered quietly. "I would have enough problems and I didn't want the distraction. I figured my efforts should be to dealing with dad. It's never wise to fight a war on two fronts." she paused. "There will be another time mom."
Nerra regarded Marja. "Only an idiot fights a war on front fronts and only the heir to the throne of the kingdom of idiots, fights a war on twelve fronts," she commented with a sardonic smile. "Your husband, that is my brother." she giggled as she spoke. "Has so many fronts that he's fighting on, that he is the god of the universe of idiots," she added.
"Isn't that a tad harsh?" Marja paused, it wasn't and everyone present knew it.
Iteela regarded Marja. "No. It's not. Koll has had this a long time coming... Its time for this matter to be dealt with forever." and with that, the six women moved out into the open skies of Ashalla.
