Mission 102: Sic Transit Tienn
Location: Various Locations - Utgarde Colony
Timeline: 1030Hrs, August 2nd, 2392
Tienn Jaina smiled as she sat down in her seat on the shuttle while Tienn Nerra was flying her back to the spaceport. "Is this thing really safe?" she asked.
"Its fine mom," Nerra answered with a smile. "I just don't get to fly all that often," she added.
Tienn Durin suddenly grinned. "So... Did anyone else catch that look that Corat had on his face when he saw Balin?"
Nerra raised an eyebrow. "Wait, what look?" as clearly she had missed something but then she had been busy at the time. "Durin...?"
"I think Corat and Balin are not going to get along," she admitted. "I could just be getting paranoid." the youngest adult Tienn commented. "Maybe its nothing."
"Corat is used to being the man of the house... If you consider it, it makes sense. I know Balin is used to being the second man of my house... He helps me with the kits at all times, he spends as much time with my babies as I do." Nerra commented.
"Yeah... That does make sense," Jaina answered with a rather gentle smile. "He is seventeen, he's at that age when he's wanting to figure out how much authority he has..." she added while she shrugged in a matter that said a lot without saying a lot of anything. "Now Ulani however, she is too young for anything," she commented evenly.
Nerra paused as she considered it. "Balin isn't really ready for any drama, he tends to be too serious, most of the time anyway." as she frowned, clearly deep in thought.
Iteela had gently taken the stick from her twin. "I'll fly us back to the starport. You'll get us all killed," she said by way of making conversation. "Stop worrying about Balin, he and Corat will handle their issues, like grown men. That's if any issues arise between them," she added.
"Yeah, your probably right... Besides the autopilot is engaged. Relax I got this." Nerra answered, clearly unsure, she sounded rather hesitant on the subject before she turned back to the flying, the autopilot had been engaged which was why the shuttle was still flying steady and level, its destination was the starport.
"If you say so." Iteela sounded unsure but she wasn't willing to force the issue or anything else on the subject. "How long till we arrive?"
"Four minutes, eight seconds," Nerra answered. "When we get there, you can turn in the shuttle while we go get our next ride. On to Bajor," she commented evenly with a smile on her face. "You think the rest of the kits will be alright?" she asked her mother who was sitting just behind her and off to her left.
"Yeah, they'll be fine. Lonar, Ulani, Nebris and Gilora will have lots of playmates to tangle with." Jaina explained. "Plus Benice Gyce will be dropping in to help with Hobbie and T'Ree. So Almar isn't doing everything alone," she added.
Iteela smiled. "I did not expect her to come crashing into my life again, not after what happened." she sighed softly a moment later.
"What did happen, anyway?" Nerra inquired.
"Gyce had to leave, she had another assignment which came up without any warning whatever," Iteela explained softly. "She and I are still working out our issues and concerns," she added.
Nerra smiled as the alarm beeped at everyone present. She turned and tapped the display. "Here we go, we're on approach." as she tapped the display and proceeded to get landing clearance. It was granted a moment later. "Alright, coming in for a landing," Nerra commented.
A few moments later, the shuttle was on the ground, as Durin opened the aft hatch, the women were greeted with a gust of heated air as it was the height of summer and the main spaceport was closer to the planetary equator then the Tienn homestead was. Tienn Jaina wasn't expecting the heat and it showed as Nerra smiled as she stepped off of the shuttle, Iteela following and Durin walking alongside her grandmother, as the four of them entered the spaceport.
The four Tienn women went through the process of getting tickets to Bajor before they were directed to their ship which was heading to the orbital base. The Tienn women boarded their ship and within an hour, the four women were on an interstellar transport, heading for Bajor.
"Next stop. Bajor." Tienn Jaina commented with a smile. "It'll be almost thirty years since I've been home." the older female commented.
"A few things have changed," Nerra commented in a light tone of voice. "Its been a while since I've been home as well. Considering that Koll had me attainted for my lack of faith."
"I will deal with him..." Jaina answered. "How's your father doing?" she asked either Iteela or Nerra, both of whom seemed unsure of how to directly answer the question as the two women traded looks as if to say that the other should answer the question.
"Well... Umm... He still doesn't believe you are alive and well," Iteela answered evenly.
"Grandfather has his issues but that's nothing compared to my father's issues. He is determined to make enemies everywhere." Durin added. "He has been very good at this of late."
"Did he exile you too?" Jaina inquired, a dark look in her eye.
"Yes, Because of Noel. He didn't approve of my mating with a Klingon. It was a one-time casual fling and I got a child out of the arrangement, he got a night of and I quote. "The sex was incredible, a Klingon woman would not be able to match your level of skill or excellence," Durin explained. "I spent most of the following day, in sickbay, getting body parts healed." she sighed softly. "My skipper was not impressed but since I was on leave, he didn't do much to me on the topic, other than congratulating me for surviving a night of horribly abusive sex."
Both Iteela and Nerra traded a look. "Isn't your mate a Klingon?" Iteela inquired.
"K'taro is nowhere near that abusive with me," Nerra answered. "He does not dominate me the way your beau did with you," she said to her niece who winced. "Sounds like your beau needs to be taught some manners.."
"Well, in his defense. Rog'n didn't break any bones I'd need later." Durin answered.
"Lieutenant Rog'n. Of the IKS Hurgh'maS?" Nerra almost demanded in a student tone.
Durin paused. "Wait... You know him?"
"I'm gonna fucking kill him," Nerra answered quietly. "Once I pass this story along to my spouse. He will kill Rog'n for me," she added in a snide tone.
"Ladies, this isn't helping," Jaina commented evenly. "First things first. The familial issues on Bajor require and demand our attention first. Let's focus our efforts there and then we can deal with the other issues later." she commented. "Let's not go seeking enemies when we don't need to do so... Right ladies?"
"Yeah," Iteela answered with a nod, as the transport flew on through high warp in silence, heading towards Bajor.
