Lt Commander Elizabeth Yamaguchi-Solusar was just sitting down at her desk, she knew that today would be an interesting challenge as the last few days had been punishing for her, she was still finding that she was very easily distracted with the memories of the adult version of her son who had been nothing more than an illusion but she saw shards and symbols of what could be, what might happen.

Yamaguchi-Solusar huffed a sigh as she sipped her drink. "I need to talk to Rachael.." she paused as she gently grasped the display terminal at her desk, she tapped it once before calling up the message section. She quickly typed in her sibling's email address as she considered quickly what she wanted to say before her fingers seemed to fly across the display, quickly hammering out a message, most of their own accord.

Once finished. Yamaguchi-Solusar read her work before she sent it off to her sibling. She was wondering if Rachael wanted to eat dinner with her and Kam tonight. The response came back in less than five minutes, which read simply. "Sure, I'd love to. 1800hrs good for you?"

Yamaguchi-Solusar smiled to herself, her response. "Sounds good, seeya then." before she sent it off to her sibling. Yamaguchi-Solusar turned off the display as the doorbell beeped at her, her appointment that she was expecting had clearly arrived and was now demanding her attention. "It's Open!" Yamaguchi-Solusar called loudly.

The door opened and in came Captain Jessica Solusar. She regarded her son's wife with a mixture of curiosity and trepidation, she was unsure of how to deal with those force of nature in her sons life and she also didn't know much about her, other then what the rumor mill said about her, to make matters even worse was Yamaguchi-Solusar's dealings with her husband, she had treated him in a manner that Jessica herself, had considered disgraceful and it was something that she had resented as a result, one of her children, Coral had shared those feelings and this all had come to a head at a wedding in which Coral had collided with Yamaguchi-Solusar and it had been bruising for all involved, it had very nearly come to blows before Coral had gotten herself thrown out of the wedding for her boorish behavior.

Solusar regarded the woman before her. Yamaguchi-Solusar regarded the older female in silence. "Good Mornin' Captain. How are we doing today?" she inquired with a smile. "Come on in, don't be shy... I promise I won't bite," she added with a rather easy smile.

Solusar couldn't help but smile, clearly, the other woman had a sense of humor which was a refreshing change. She slowly moved across the office and selected a seat. "I could complain... But I haven't got the energy."

"Hair not behaving?" Yamaguchi-Solusar asked with a knowing grin. "Its always something, if it's not the hair then my boots are missing, if it's not that then its Robert, throwing a tantrum. Or Kam had misplaced his ten thousand word essay. I swear he should be a writer in his free time, assuming he has any left." Yamaguchi-Solusar grinned at the older woman. "Was he like this as a kid?"

"I..." Solusar paused. "Kam was always a good student. He did better than his siblings but... I think that was as a result of what happened to James." she sighed. "Let's just skip the preamble and the dancing through the hoops. I failed my son... Is that what you wished to hear?"

"No," Yamaguchi-Solusar said in a soft tone. "I didn't want anything really. In fact, I was expecting nothing other then the usual denials I get when people tell me they are ready for therapy but they aren't." Yamaguchi-Solusar explained softly. "Kam and I make our relationship work because we've developed ways of releasing stress without yelling at each other." she waved a hand to her right as she rotated it, the palm facing down to facing up as she did so. "Oh, we drive each other crazy. Especially as he wants child number two and we had issues with child number one... Was Kam colic as a baby?"

"Actually, he was," Solusar answered. "I assume Robert is or was?" she inquired further.

"He was, yes." Yamaguchi-Solusar paused as she yawned. "Mmmm. Sorry, the amount of sleep that boy has cost me is somewhere in the double digits, by the gods, I'd sell my own mother into sex slavery for a good nights sleep..." she added. It was well known that Torilla Yamaguchi was quite a looker even being in her mid-forties. Solusar regarded the other woman in silence for a moment as the comment had come out of left field and it was something that she had not been expecting, it showed too.

"I am not your average therapist," Yamaguchi-Solusar commented as if hearing her thoughts. "Most feel the need to always fill the silence with chatter, but to each their own."

"Why did you treat my husband like that." Solusar inquired.

"Which part?" Yamaguchi-Solusar inquired in a gentle tone. "The part where he misused official channels for a private matter or where he started on me, specifically?" she inquired. "Was it before or after he threatened me," Yamaguchi-Solusar added.

"Well, I was never told that part.," Solusar answered a trifle hotly.

"It's also unimportant. His behavior was unacceptable and neither I or my husband was going to tolerate it, I don't let my own kin address me like that, why should I let anyone else do so?" the large female then gently shrugged her shoulders. "The General did apologize for it later and the three of us did get the chance to resolve our issues between us." she paused. "That was before Kurt was born... Feels like such a lifetime ago now."

Solusar frowned, this was new to her. "Kurt... Who's Kurt..?"

"Kurt is my brother. Well, what happened was that my Mother was having some medical issues which would have caused complications for her child so I took the child to term for her." Yamaguchi-Solusar explained evenly. "I had the time and the energy to do it."

"Oh, I had no idea," Solusar answered evenly. "I had assumed Robert was your first."

"Your assumption was correct," Yamaguchi-Solusar answered with a nod. "The first of my children with Kameron. My brother was a special case but he technically does count. So this is child number three." as she gave the other woman a look. "All three of my pregnancies have been different," she added. "Besides. It could have been worse..." Yamaguchi-Solusar added with a wry smile.
