Orthos sighed softly as the shuttle that he and Daisy were on, was flying into the massive hangar bay of the USS Roanoke-A. The shuttle landed a moment later before the hatches opened. "Go go go." someone called.
Orthos sighed. "Sure buddy, we're not in any rush here," he commented while he shook his head. "Imbeciles," he added quietly as he stepped off of the shuttle, Daisy followed him in silence. He carried their daughter while Daisy had Edward with her.
Captain Livana Mira stood before them, she regarded Orthos with her purple colored eyes in silence. "Welcome aboard Master Chief. Major." he addressed both Orthos and Daisy in order.
"Hello there Captain," Daisy replied with a smile.
"So. Master Chief, mind explaining why you are here?" the Orion female inquired in a jovial tone.
"What do you mean?" Orthos inquired of the tall female before him. "I was ordered to report here for assignment."
"I see you are another victim of that stupid computer glitch that's been going around the fleet." the tall Orion huffed a loud sigh. "The old USS Roanoke's gift that keeps on giving, let me explain." the tall female seemed to glower at nobody with an angry look in her eyes. "Fleet Admiral McKnight informed me that you would be on your way because you were supposed to be assigned here. Someone in personnel filled out new assignment orders for you both. The Admiral saved me a great deal of trouble in tracking down the source of this endless frustration."
"Yeah, my last assignment was something on the other of eight kinds of insanity. Let's just say it complicated our lives in rather complicated and fascinating ways." Orthos explained as he gently smoothed his now awake infant daughter who regarded the Orion female before her with a mixture of fascination and uncertainty.
Orthos gently ran his fingers through his daughter's short hair. "It's okay sweetie. We're here," he said quietly. "So.. Captain, since we appear to have made the flight all the way out here for nothing. Where am I supposed to be reassigned?"
"Well, you've been assigned over to Starbase Sixty one. Apparently, your assignment is rather hush-hush. I was told only to send you on your way and that was all. Major, you've been assigned to the marine base on Utgarde Four. Apparently, most of your old unit is assigned there too. Your assignment Master Chief takes effect as soon as you get there. Major, you apparently had another week of leave time."
