Mission: Mission 110: Blue on Blue
Location: Various Locations - USS Stalingrad
Timeline: 1200Hrs - October 22nd, 2393

Commander Sohnaxx Dvald sighed softly as she regarded the display on the PADD before her, she was sitting on a biobed as one of the other Doctors assigned to the USS Stalingrad was presently giving her the once over. "Seriously, Sohnaxx... You have the physique of a woman in her forties, I don't think you need to take this stuff for a while yet..." Lieutenant JG Sonia Wolf smiled at the Bolian female before her. "You are as fit as a fiddle and ready for anything, from your next conquest in bed to the next war. We should all be so lucky."

"I'm in my mid-sixties and I'd like to add another century to my life." Dvald smiled back. "I've missed my husband, I've not been with him in way too long... I must address that on my next leave..." the small-framed Bolian woman added.

"Heh," Wolf answered. "At least you are honest with me and yourself, both at the same time... Most I know, are repressed," she commented with a smile. "Now, take it easy... This stuff may mess with your head or your insides. If you feel funny for any reason, come back and see us." she paused. "The aftereffects in Bolians are not yet fully documented but other species don't seem to have much, mostly hormonal issues and the like..." she paused. "Are you prepared?"

"I am. Proceed." Dvald answered before Wolf checked the medication one last time before she began to administer it to the older Bolian on the biobed before her. Wolf then opened her tricorder. "It's working properly, But I still want you to take a day off so you can watch for any odd symptoms."

"I'll do that then," Dvald answered bluntly. "You'll be running alpha watch tomorrow... Everyone will take their orders from you, anyone gives you attitude then note it and let me know."

"Willdo," Wolf answered as she smiled at the older woman. "Now what?"

"Now I'm going to go and enjoy lunch and let the medication do its work," Dvald answered as she hopped off of the bed. "I'll be back later," she added in a breezy tone of voice as she departed sickbay, Dvald had another piece of business to attend to today which she wished to keep quiet, at least for now, from everyone she worked with and knew. Now she was going to drop the heavy end of the hammer on Marie Yamaguchi's head. Dvald hoped the other woman would understand why.

Dvald made her way to the skipper's ready room and was permitted access a moment later. "Captain, can I have a few minutes of your time?" Dvald asked of Yamaguchi who regarded her with a funny look. "I'm not overdue for my physical... am I?"

"No," Dvald answered as she sat down at one of the chairs facing Yamaguchi's desk. "Mind if I borrow a PADD?" she asked

Yamaguchi silently handed her a blank PADD, Dvald accepted it and quickly called up a file. "I'd like to stick my name in for reassignment to any ship looking for an Executive Officer..." before she handed her PADD off to Yamaguchi who almost dropped it in surprise. The look on her face said as much. "Sohnaxx... I thought you were happy here."

"I am... But chances to advance on this ship simply do not happen and I do not believe you will get rid of your Exec because I want to advance my career..." Dvald answered with a gentle smile. "This is no slight against you, this ship or her crew... But I want a new challenge and command will give m that... I've been in medicine for almost forty years... It's routine and boring... done to death... Hell, I even died wearing this uniform... I want something new..." Dvald paused. "I'm in my sixties Marie... and I do not plan on finishing out my career in Starfleet here on this boat..."

Yamaguchi listened in silence as she found herself agreeing with the other woman's explanation and reasons. "For what its worth, I agree with you... Sometimes it's the only way to move a career forward... Alright, I'll stick this in... and see what comes loose... But you might be waiting for a while..."

"That's fine," Dvald answered. "I am in no rush and I do not wish to leave on bad terms... Besides, I've seen what command did for Siaxx... and I want to know if it can do the same for me." as Dvald smiled at the younger woman before her.

"I honestly had not expected you to want to come in here, demanding a change..." Yamaguchi paused. "But... alright, I will stick this in for you and request a new chief medical officer, unless you got someone you would like to recommend?"

"No, they are all either not ready or too young," Dvald answered quietly. "You'll want someone new."

Yamaguchi nodded her head. "Alright. Then we'll see what turns up after I stick this in." Yamaguchi paused as she breathed out and then back in again. "Is there anything else I can trouble you for?"

"Nope, that's it..." Dvald answered softly. "Thanks for your time."

"No problem. Off with you then." and with that, the meeting ended as Dvald departed in silence.
