Mission:
Mission 98: Building Our New Home
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 0930Hrs - April 15th, 2393
Captain Heris Dvald was seated on one of the biobeds, she was presently talking a moment to check over the half dozen medkits present around her and today was shaping up to be slower than an average day, this was something the tall Bolian beauty did not mind in the least.
The doors opened and in walked a younger Bolian female, this one did not smile as she once used to do, for this was Cheleya Dvald who was dealing with issues from her first death, it was a small miracle that Cheleya was even still present in the mortal world, to begin with, but her mind was still processing the fact that she had died but she had spent several weeks in an android body so she could do various things and feel no pain from the events and consequences of those actions.
"Hey, Cheleya. How are ya feeling sweetie.?" Heris inquired of her niece.
"I am doing alright. I wanted to book more sessions with your counselors, I need to talk about these things." the younger Bolian admitted in a quiet tone of voice.
Heris nodded, as she made a mental note to arrange a private counselor who would handle Cheleya for as long as needed and would only tend to the one patient. the tall Bolian knew exactly who she would throw at this case. "I got your counselor, she doesn't know it yet though."
"Okay," Cheleya answered as the door opened a second time, in walked a human female.
Heris regarded the human female with shoulder-length blonde hair. "Hello, Welcome aboard, you must be new here?." Heris addressed Phoenix.
Phoenix smiled, "To the base, yes. To Roanoke's former crew? No. Who might you be? One of Siaxx's kin?"
Heris nodded. "She is my youngest sibling." she grinned at Phoenix. "She has spoken of you. Often."
Cheleya nodded her head. "Aunt Siaxx has mentioned you, at length," she commented evenly. "Getting her on the subject is easy, getting her off again is next to impossible."
"Well, she an' I didn' exactly see us spendin' so much time apart... Flight school is sometimes lengthy, sadly," Phoenix spoke apologetically.
Heris simply shrugged. "That is for you and her to deal with," she commented as a third Bolian came over. "Hey mom, sorry to pester you but you asked to get this as soon as I was finished with it."
"Ahh," Heris answered as she received the PADD. "Dorin, meet Jillian Sullivan." she did the introductions. "This is Dorin. One of my children."
Dorin regarded Pheonix. "Hello, Colonel. It's good to meet you."
"You can call me Jillian," Phoenix allowed. "Any family of Siaxx an' I has earned tha right."
Dorin regarded her for a moment. "Alright. Jillian." he seemed hesitant on the subject, however.
Heris meanwhile, was looking over the paperwork on the PADD. "Yes, you did a good job with this. You even explained the vector of travel for the virus in question. You'll get a good mark with this one son." The tall Bolian female handed the PADD back to her son.
"Thanks, mom. I'd best be off. I still got classwork to finish. Want me to start dinner?"
"Yes please sweetie, make anything, I'm not picky," Heris responded before Dorin nodded to Phoenix. "It was good to meet you Jillian." and with that, he departed.
Heris regarded Phoenix. "So. Am I to give you the once over for the desk jockeys upstairs?" she inquired. "I swear some are slaves to protocol."
Cheleya only smiled but she didn't say a word.
"Huh?" Phoenix asked with confusion.
"You're coming aboard physical." the tall Bolian female explained, a gentle smile on her lips. "That is, why you are here, I assume?" the inquired further.
"Was looking for Siaxx, actually." Phoenix frowned about the physical. "I'll have my physical another time, I think."
Heris regarded Phoenix, with a look on her face that did not change. "As you wish." while Cheleya regarded Phoenix. "Siaxx, I think, is up in her office. Just off the main bridge." the younger woman paused. "At present, I'm serving as her aide."
"Sooo... doctor and personal assistant?" Phoenix asked.
"Just personal assistant," Cheleya answered quietly. "My medical studies are on hold, for the time being." the smaller female answered, in flat, almost dull tone.
Phoenix was saved from any sort of response, by the appearance of yet another Bolian female, this one was identical to Siaxx in all respects. "Hey guys, Heris. The paperwork you asked for." she handed the PADD she held between her delicate looking fingers over to the tall Bolian female.
"Ahh, thank you." Heris answered. "How are you feeling otherwise?"
"Ahh, no complaints. Yet, however, the day is young and there are many who demand much of me." Dvald answered before she nodded to Phoenix. "Hello Colonel."
"Hi," Phoenix smiled. "Where's Siaxx hidin' at? She hangin' in the command center mostly these days?"
The small group of female Bolians, all shared a look. "I have no idea, I do not ask and she does not tell," Dvald answered in a flat tone of voice. "I know she is raising a rather demanding child." Siaxx's double added.
"Well since Command has assigned me back here, I'm more than glad ta help her out," Phoenix offered.
Rhaenys raised an eyebrow. "Well. I'll leave that one with you then," she answered in a dry tone of voice.
Heris simply facedpalmed. "I see the curse of Rhaenys strikes again." she turned to her smaller sibling. "Do you know who this is?"
Siaxx's twin regarded Phoenix. "No... Should I?"
Cheleya Dvald moved away. "I need a drink, anyone want some booze."
Rhaenys opened her mouth but she sighed. "Bring me two glasses of Bourbon.". Heris nodded. "I'll have one please sweetie."
"Water will do. I don' wanna start off this posting as drunk, no offense," Phoenix admitted guardedly. She did not like admitting she was an alcoholic.
Siaxx's twin turned and departed, as suddenly as she had come, as Rhaenys breathed a soft sigh. "My sibling, can be trying and both glasses are both for me," she commented.
Cheleya came back with four glasses, one she handed off to Heris and the last one which was clear, she handed to Phoenix. She drained her glass as she gave her aunt a rather evil glare. "You do not have children..." she commented as she handed the drinks off to those who wanted for them.
Heris turned back to Phoenix. "So... Where are you assigned?" she inquired.
"I'm not sure yet. I've yet to receive my assignment but I've been told to wait here for my assignment here." Phoenix answered with a smile. "I doubt I'll be sticking around on the Starbase for long though..." she added.
"That's a real shame..." Rhaenys answered with a nod as she regarded the taller woman before her as she finished her drink. Heris regarded her smaller sibling. "Anyway ladies. I hate to cut and run... But I need to go back to work... Cheleya... Could you deliver a PADD for me to Siaxx?" she asked of her niece.
"Sure..." Cheleya answered.
Heris handed her the PADD in question. "Take that to Siaxx..."
Cheleya accepted the PADD before she departed the Starbase hospital. Phoenix turned to Rhaenys. "Siaxx never really talked about her family much."
"That's perfectly understandable. Siaxx always did her own thing with her own rules." the small Bolian female explained. "Let's get out of here and I can explain why Siaxx is how she is." and with that, the two women departed. "It's easier if we have this chat back in my quarters," Rhaenys added once they were outside back on the Plaza. "Heris does not need to worry about us having this chat... Plus if things get interesting then nobody else needs to know."
"Mmm... Lead on and we can see what happens." Phoenix answered with a smile. This was Siaxx but a different version of her neglected spouse, she wore the rank of a Division Admiral and wore black rather than the five pips that Siaxx wore and command red. Also, Rhaenys had a slimmer build with smaller breasts then Siaxx had. Phoenix wondered what Rhaenys looked like in naught but her skin. What Phoenix did not know was that in two hours, she would get her wish and more.
