Daisy was in the kitchen cooking Onion Soup Lyonese. She was home earlier than Orthos so decided to start dinner using the leftover broth from a previous meal. She straightened up as she heard the door open.

"Orthos, is that you?" She asked.

Orthos peered around the corner. "No. It's not me but thanks for noticing," he responded in a rather jovial tone. "I'm his evil twin or ... Is that his second twin?." he paused as if asking himself that question. "Orthos has so many family members that even he can't keep them straight anymore," he added with a grin. "So.. What'cha cooking?" he inquired of her.

Daisy giggled, "I'm making a simple soup. I have some cold hard lemonade if you would like it?"

"You sure I'm Orthos?" Orthos inquired. "I mean I could be his brother... God knows he has so many." he paused. "I could invent one, tell even mom wouldn't know the difference." He moved over to her. "Sure, a glass of that lemonade sounds good. Mmm... Nice. It smells great. For you or for us both?" he inquired of her.

"The drinks are for both of us," Daisy replied. "And if you are not Orthos, you will get to enjoy a nice meal and sex that was meant to him."

Orthos chuckled softly. "Well, I'm sure he would appreciate all of that." he gently kissed her on the lips. "It's me Daisy. Karass is a tortured soul and Archos is off on the USS Alaska."

Daisy laughed. "Oh, I know it's you. I don't think Karass has the sense of humor to pull off masquerading as you."

"He doesn't." Orthos smiled at his wife. "He's improving though and I have no idea of Archos as we're still getting to know him, he's a version of Karass who is from some really dark grim reality," he commented. "Apparently along with a version of you from the same reality."

"Oh, of me?" Daisy asked. "Not to change the subject but I don't know if you met Major Garibaldi? Well, along with many others he was screwed by Nechayev. Star Fleet finally sorted it out and he is going to get a big promotion. Maybe up to Brigadier General."

Orthos regarded her. "Wasn't he your boss, back when you and I met?" he paused. "I think I might have met him but I need to see the face to connect with the name. Sorry, hon. I guess age caught me with that one." It was an old joke and both of them knew it, Orthos wouldn't have age-related issues for decades yet.

"Your memory is much better than mine," Daisy said with levity. "The reason I bring it up now is that the position of the marine commander on the Roanoke is open. Brianna asked me to fill it."

Orthos smiled at his young wife, as a wide grin appeared on his face. "So we'll be serving together on the same ship then. Outstanding." he paused. "Your marines will be tormenting the security guys, Olga Vaal will be putting the security pinheads in sickbay and Tom Lasky gets to yell at you for it, I win either way," Orthos commented with a wide grin. "Besides do you remember when Tom Lasky went on a date with Vaal?" he inquired. "I recall him saying it was the best bar brawl ever." Clearly, Orthos was having a great deal of fun at the average marines experience. "All joking aside, I think it'll be great working on the same ship as you, we can show these girly-men the meaning of power and how it's really done."

Daisy laughed. "Oh, I'm sure." She replied with sarcasm. "I think Garibaldi and his NCOs kept them in line."

Orthos nodded. "Wait, isn't Olga Vaal still assigned to your old unit?" he paused. "I recall that big issue we had concerning her." he paused before letting out a sigh. "And how me getting nutted by one of your marines cleared it up."

"Olga was out of line and I was being overprotective of her. She deserved the brig." Daisy replied.

Orthos raised an eyebrow. "Its also doesn't really matter either. You were looking out for your friend, that's always commendable. I shouldn't have lost my temper so easily."

"Water under the bridge," Daisy replied. "I forgot about that until you just brought it up."

"I seldom ever forget things," Orthos answered. "Besides, you had an open mind, which is one of the things that drew me to you in the first place. I wish more people had that ability. This universe would be a better place."

"Thank you," Daisy replied. "To be honest, I was a little worried you might disapprove of my decision."

"Not a chance. I've always supported you ever since we started our relationship. I'm not going to start now." Orthos regarded her. "I always felt you had been giving up far too much to raise our kids, I love the fact that you're heading back out into the field which I think is great."
