Mission: Mission 97: The Fleet Reorganization Saga
Location: Various Locations - USS Dreamcrusher
Timeline: 0800Hrs, September 17th, 2392

Chief Warrant Officer Courtney Yamaguchi had ignored the sights and sounds of the massive spacedocks where there were over forty Guardian class ships undergoing refitting or under construction. She was spending her last hours focusing on her new assignments and who she would be working with.

When the transport landed, she was checked over by the Caitian security personnel present, they were profuse in their apologies but she did not mind as they didn't try to poke and prod her in sensitive places and nor did they attempt to violate her.

"It's okay guys. You're just doing your jobs." Yamaguchi answered evenly before she secured her bags, she then moved off down the hallway before making her way to Dreamcrushers primary airlock where she went through the entire process all over again. Yamaguchi presented her orders for inspection as the second guard began checking her bags.

"Thank you warrant, everything looks umm... in .. in order." as he handed the PADD back to her.

"Something the matter?" Yamaguchi inquired.

"Don't take this the wrong way but you look almost the same as the Ex Oh." The Lieutenant answered in a hesitant tone.

"She and I have good genes, we both came from the same woman as she is my sister," Courtney explained with a smile.

"Oh. I'm sorry." for the Ensign, the surprise was total.

"For what?." Courtney responded. "You asked a simple question and I gave you an answer, never apologize for being curious," Yamaguchi answered with a gentle smile. "Permission to go aboard?"

"Yes, Welcome aboard the Dreamcrusher." the Lieutenant answered as he handed her back her PADD with her orders on it. "You'll find Lieutenant Solusar in the science department."

"Thanks, boys." and with that she turned and walked through the airlock, sashying her hips from left to right as she did so, giving both men a show with her hips.

The Ensign smiled but he said nothing while the Lieutenant sighed softly. "I pity her next boyfriend."

"I don't." the Ensign responded.

Meanwhile, Courtney Yamaguchi turned her head from left to right before she selected her destination, she located a turbolift nearby, she tapped the call button and moments later, the door opened and she stepped in. "Operations center, quartermaster's office."

The lift started moving which allowed Yamaguchi to almost zone out, when the lift stopped, she opened her eyes as she stepped out. After collecting her room assignment, she made her way to drop off her bags and freshen up before going to meet her new boss.

She found the science department rather easily, and then she found Lieutenant Kameron Solusar-Yamaguchi as his full name was called these days, lying under a console as he was performing repairs.

"Lieutenant Yamaguchi?" Yamaguchi inquired of him.

Kameron stuck his head out. "Yeah?." he asked. "Who needs me?" as he noticed the tall striking female before him. "Oh, hey Commander. I wasn't aware..." his voice trailed off. "My apologies Warrant." as he scrambled to his feet. Courtney grabbed his shoulders with her hands to help steady him. "Easy sir. That would suck, you becoming hurt." Yamaguchi then gently let him go after she was sure he wasn't going to fall over or anything else.

"Ahh, Thanks. So you're my new Chief warrant for this department then.?" Solusar-Yamaguchi inquired of her.

"My orders sir." as she handed him the PADD she had been carrying for the last few days.

"Lets go into my office so I can do this right. Feels weird having an office but hey, it could be worse." before he turned and led her into a rather small office that had space for one decent sized desk, one sofa, and a little floor space, the entire room measured something about three hundred square feet.

"Come on in, the last guy was a minimalist, she didn't like wasting space but this office serves me. Take a seat, any seat." Kameron sat down behind his desk. "Let's see... ahh." as he placed her PADD into the display before him. "Okay. Says that you are taking over as my department chief warrant. I'll admit, I've been short on good people since most were promoted and reassigned to other ships so I have to consider what to do."

Yamaguchi regarded him, a gentle smile on her lips. "Your first time as a department head?'

"Yes, shows doesn't it?" Solusar-Yamaguchi inquired with a smile.

"I was not going to comment on it," Yamaguchi answered.

"Okay, Everything looks good. Your primary field seems like its ocean studies. That explains why you were sent to me, I've been in need of an oceanographer for quite some time now." he explained to her.

Yamaguchi smiled. "So I have work to do then?"

"Oh right away," Solusar-Yamaguchi responded. "Also on duty, I answer to Lieutenant Solusar and off watch its both names, mine, and my wifes."

"Ahh. Okay, then Lieutenant Solusar. I will remember that going forward." Yamaguchi answered.

"Well, there are three Yamaguchi's who are not directly related all serving on the same ship so Celeste is taking her wife's name, I'm going back to my original name and my wife is taking my name so there will only be one Yamaguchi left, you," Solusar answered. "Captain McKnight made that request of us all so he doesn't need to deal with the brass bitching about stupid things."

"Fair enough, do you have any special rules I ought to know about?"

"No, so long as you get your work done. I don't care what you do, within common sense of course." Solusar answered evenly.

"Of course." Yamaguchi smiled. "When do I start?"

"Tomorrow. Take today to settle in and learn the ship's layout along with the other things like that," he responded.

"Of course, I was expecting you to start me right now."

"No. You've been traveling and you won't be at your best," Solusar answered with a gentle smile. "Welcome aboard Courtney. I for one will be glad to have you around. I've got a department of kids around and god knows I have problems of my own, I don't need to be babysitting them so I stuck in a request for someone with experience. They sent me you."

"I'll help out wherever I can sir," Yamaguchi answered.

"You don't need to call me sir, calling me by name is fine. I won't object. I find it helps me to bond easier with others. It also helps others bond with me."

"Sounds good Kam. I'll remember that too, going forward," she added.

"Alright. Well, I've got to get back to that console and you should go settle in so on your way Courtney and let me get back to my work. I'll see you tomorrow morning." as he rose to his feet, the two shook hands before Yamaguchi turned and departed without word or comment.
