Brown Alert in the Sherman System

Mission: Mission 80: The Arms are fair. When the Intent of Bearing Them is Just
Location: Sherman system
Timeline: June 26th 2392

Admiral Yuvo looked at the main sensor display, "Is this it.?"

Chancellor Martok took a look at the sensor readings. Though he still wasn't very familiar with the Akurian language, the readings were unmistakable, "yes, this is the system we arrived in when we first came to your universe."

Yuvo turned to his sensor officer, "Alright, fire up or main sensor arrays, let's see if we can find that mystery wormhole.

The Noble's sensor systems powered up, searching the system for their mystery wormhole while hundreds of other akurian ships filed into the system to join in the search. Using the sensor logs recovered from Enterprise-E and Bortasque, Yuvo was able to narrow down a search area for this mystery wormhole. Fortunately, it was a good thing Federation ships kept such detailed sensor logs, as they were able to find their quarry in a matter of hours.

Yuvo was anything if cautious though. He first probed the wormhole with drones to ensure that it was safe, and once they gave him good readings he then commanded," Alright, take us in."

The massive super heavy starship moved into the wormhole, leading the fleet. The ride was a fairly rough one, which was normal for poorly charted wormholes. But they reached the other side in one piece. Nevanzi didn't even have to tell his crew to scan the system as they did it automatically. After a few minutes of scanning, Minske confirmed, " Yep, looks like this is the right system. The star and the planets are largely identical to the one that we just left, but this system is inhabited, and there are unknown ships present."

The USS Barnham, was an Andromeda Class starship and Captain Ashley Kuechler was commanding her, she, however, didn't count on the unstable wormhole appearing not far from her ship.

"Helm. move us away from that thing." Kuechler commented softly. "Unstable wormholes don't just pop up out of nowhere." she paused as she was interrupted.

"Captain. I'm reading something massive. I assume it's a ship.. its... Holy shit!" came the shout from her tactical officer.

"Raise shields, arm weapons," Kuechler ordered. "Evade helm."

However as she said it, the wormhole opened and out came a truly massive ship, her eyes went wide. "Oh my god.." she whispered.

Minske confirmed the location of the Federation ship, "Yuvo, there is a Federation ship not far forms our location."

Yuvo nodded. Fortunately, the Noble salvaged the Enterprises Comm array, and they were now using it as their own. Martok then offered, "Yuvo, It's best if you let me do the introduction."

Yuvo handed him the hand mic, "alright it's all yours."

"Hailing them now," Minske added.

Meanwhile back on Barnham's bridge. The science officer turned. "Captain. I have an IFF." the young woman paused. "It's the Enterprise!"

"Wait, hows that possible!" Kuechler responded.

"That massive ship has Enterprise-E's exact Identity friend or foe code." the younger woman shouted back.

"Sir, we are being hailed. It's." the Caitian officer paused. "It's Chancellor Martok, he wishes to speak with you."

Kuechler paused. "Open the channel." she paused as the large Caitian nodded. "Hello. Chancellor.. If this is a joke. I will not be happy with you." she paused. "I will make you wish you were still in Sto-Vo-Kor.," she added.

Martok smiled as he replied, "Unfortunately I have never been to Sto Vo Kor, that would have been too easy, and less interesting. So tell me, what has happened in my absence."

"A great deal Chancellor," Kuechler responded. "I am not certain that you are indeed Martok. Prove to me that you are who you say you are. Then we can discuss recent events. Much has taken place that you missed since the beginning of this year."

Meanwhile, other ships were moving through the wormhole. Four of these vessels were Supertitans which were over 13 kilometers long and weighed in at over 10 billion metric tons. However, the IKS Bortasque then moved into the system after the Titans.

Martok raised an eyebrow, unsure of exactly what to say. He didn't expect to be challenged in this manner.

Captain Worf stood nearby, a rather amused smile on his face. "I do not believe she thinks that you are, well you." he chuckled. "She sounds like a Klingon, doesn't she?" he quipped.

Meanwhile back on USS Barnham. The Executive officer commented. "Skipper. Those are Akurian ships, they have a great degree of commonality with the old battlecruiser I've read about," he explained. "These ships are Akurian, skipper. I am certain of that."

Kuechler paused before she nodded. "Chancellor, if you are indeed Martok then what was the name of your Housemates youngest child?. I don't have a lot of time. but this will suffice for now."

Martok didn't hesitate. "My son is D'khan, I am who I say I am."

"Very well Chancellor," Kuechler commented quietly. "We do have a great deal to discuss... Should I come aboard your ship.. or you come aboard mine?" she inquired.

The Operations officer turned. "Sir. Starfleet command is requesting an update on our status."

"Tell them that everything is fine. We have encountered more friends.." Kuechler responded evenly.

At that point, the Noble picked up Nevanzi's distress call. Yuvo got the full report as did Martok. Upon hearing that his people were responsible for the attack, the chancellor growled," Why are my people attacking the Akurians, what is going on here."

Kuechler paused. "That's part of the problem Chancellor," she responded. "You'll get a full report from." she tapped her display, asking who the Federation admiral was present at B Kayor. "Rear Admiral Yamaguchi-Johnson will answer all of your questions," Kuechler added.

"Thank you Captian," Martok replied, and he closed the channel, while Yuvo told the helm," Alright set a course for the B Kayor system, and order all of our ships to travel there, maximum speed."

Moments later, the Noble engaged its FTL, followed by Bortasque and the Akurian fleet.

Kuechler watched in silence as the Akurian force all departed quickly. "Contact Starbase 12. Update them on this event and request instructions.?"

"Aye Captain." the Operations officer responded with a smile before she began to work her pannel.
