Location: Various Locations - USS Spirit of Winter
Timeline: 0800Hrs - May 7th, 2392

Lieutenant Sokanon started May the tenth on the Terran calendar even though to her it was the sixth day of Hipanus in the year 2834 on the Caitian Calendar. She got out of bed then she showered and dressed, much like she did every other day and then she went into sickbay.

"Hey, Renhai." Sokanon addressed the smaller being before her. "When you get a minute, could you give me the once over.. I feel a little off." To Sokanon's own ears that statement sounded truly wrong as she felt like crap.

Renhai could tell by scent alone Sokanon was ready to pop, but she knew it was too early, so she pulled out her tricorder and scanned Sokanon, "Oh hell, yeah you're about to give birth."

Sokanon blinked as she reached with astonishment. "What!" the mother to be got out, the shock was enough to make her almost pass out. Her eyes went wide. "What... why?"

Renhai went to grab her medical kit. "At this point, it hardly matters, now get on the biobed."

Sokanon allowed herself to move to the biobed. "They are premature... Whats going to happen to them?" Sokanon asked, sounding more distraught by the moment.

"They will be fine," Renhai replied. "Just keep calm." She then called for several nurses to come help.

Sokanon meanwhile had already surrendered to her terror. She stopped breathing. "Ohgod. ohgod." as her terror consumed her.

The nurse regarded Sokanon. "Doctor. She's having a panic attack.."

"Dammit," Renhai muttered as she loaded a hypospray with a sedative. With little choice, she applied it to Sokanon, then turned to one of the Nurses," Call up her sisters, as well as Nightstar, if he is available."

"Yes, doctor." and with that, the nurse went over to the nearby office. Before she slid her lithe form into a chair. She pulled the desktop terminal to her as she decided to go and find Nightstar first since he was named. "Nightstarr... Nightstarr... right." and after she found his address, she called him up. "Hey, Lieutenant Nightstarr... We need you in Spirit of Winters Sickbay R.F.N. Sokanon is having issues and she's giving birth... literally right now."

Nightstar, who was on the planet in a war zone, did at least have time to reply. "I'm sorry but I can't do anything about it, I'm on the planets surface, you can try and contact Windspirit instead, she can fill in for me for the time being. She will be on the Roanoke."

"No worries El Tee. I'll contact her. Thanks... and stay safe down there okay?" and with that, she disconnected before contacting Windspirit over on the USS Roanoke. She explained the situation quickly.

Windspirit nodded," Alright, I'll be over shortly."

The nurse smiled. "Thank you Windspirit. Sokanon really needs a friendly face..." she paused before she hung up. She then turned her attention to the matter of Sokanon's sisters so he started with her file and upon finding both of them, she contacted both ships and requested both women, RFN for an emergency.

A few minutes later the doors opened and in walked two Caitian females, one of them without a uniform and the other one wearing a standard duty uniform. The third person with then was Windspirit. "Ladies.. thanks ever so much for coming.. she's in there... Go on in. you are expected."

Renhai was currently tending to Sokanon when she noticed the three new arrivals. Noticing Windspirit's medical badge. "Hey Windspirit, yeah I could use your assistance with this."

Windspirit nodded and went to help while Renhai explained. "Yeah Sokanon is about to give birth, the problem is, its three weeks premature, and she has had a panic attack so I had to sedate her."

Lieutenant Selage regarded the small being. "How can we assist?" as Watseka went over to her sedated sibling as she gently tried to comfort her as best as she could while not getting in the way.

"Right now". Renhai explained. "Not a whole lot, but when Sokanon waked up. Moral support, and I need you two to work something out with her, she is a complete train wreck."

Both female Caitians nodded their understanding. "Yes, we can assist here." Selgae sat down at in the chair next to her sibling while Watseka sat down on the other side, well out of the way of the doctors as they worked. Sokanon blinked as she woke up, she moaned softly as Selgae turned. "Hey.. you're awake.. good."

"Selgae... What are you doing here?" Sokanon asked in a soft tone.

"We.. are here to help you get through this little catastrophe," Watseka commented with a smile. "Miss us?"

Sokanon wrapped her arms around her sibling's torso as she hugged her. "You have no idea."

Selgae had no idea that her sibling's situation was this bad. "It'll be okay Sokanon... When the babies are born, we'll help you with them... and nobody will get to them or you without going through us."

"But you are pregnant too," Sokanon responded to Selgae.

"I am. Yes... But my case is a little different than most.." Selgae explained. "The father is Zuko."

Sokanon blinked. "Wait... I didn't think your situation was that bad.."

"I have the support of someone who loves me," Selgae answered. "We have been away for too long.. Well that ends now. We will help you in so far as our duties will permit." Selgae explained. "If you are relieved, I'll have you move in with me or Watseka but either way, you'll have one of us present at all times."

"I didn't think you cared.." Sokanon admitted.

"I am your littermate," Selgae responded. "Watseka is also your sibling. We do care, we have always cared... and just because we don't talk much doesn't mean anything, we are your blood Sokanon. Your parents are my parents." she watched as Sokanon seemed to fade out before she turned to the two smaller beings before her. "Whats happening to her?"

Watseka meanwhile simply ran her fingers over her sibling's fur. "It'll be okay Sokanon, we're here."

Renhai didn't say anything as she and Windspirit simply concentrated on their task.

Meanwhile, Sokanon sighed before she turned her attention to the issue before her as the Caitian began pushing out her children one at a time. They were quite small but they were alive, a short time later all three children had been born and Sokanon was asleep.

Thirty minutes or so after the event. Lieutenant Selgae regarded the small children before her. "So... what's gonna happen to these little guys?" she inquired of Windspirit. "Clearly she's not able to be a mother," she added, referring to Sokanon.

Windspirit paused momentarily while she carefully considered the options. "Well for now, they have to remain in the custody of sickbay and on respirators, at least for the next week or two, after that well, unfortunately, Nightstar is not available because he is in the middle of a war zone, so I guess it is between me and you two, unfortunately, we are all assigned to different ships which are extremely unhelpful. Eh, I'm not really entirely sure right now."

Selgae nodded her head. "We will manage the best we can." the pregnant female responded with a smile. "The children are in the best of paws... I'm more worried about Sokanon."

"Well, we're all here now so she'll get the care she needs now," Watseka responded to her sibling's comment.

"Well either way," Renhai suggested," It would probably be prudent to do some crew swapping so all three of you can be on the same ship, at least for a little while."

Selgae nodded in agreement. "I can talk to Captain Zuko. I'm sure he'll understand... He might want a replacement for me, however,"

"Alaska can spare me. Especially after I explain the situation to Captain Teyo." Watseka explained a moment later.

Renhai nodded. "Alright, so you two will stay on this ship then, I think that can be arranged."

The two females shared a look. "We can help out when needed."

"Well, we will have to have a talk with your various captain then," Renhai replied.

Selgae nodded her head. "I'll need to talk Zuko into it, fortunately, my assistant department head will benefit from the experience she'll gain from this."

Watseka regarded her older sibling in silence before she spoke. "Hopefully this won't cause too many problems... I can see it easily getting denied."
