Mission 100: I'm Going to Ruin Somebody's Day
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 1339Hrs - July 12th, 2393
Taselle watched the other woman she had just spent three days tormenting and abusing before the world around her seemed to shift, she found herself wearing a Starfleet uniform and she was sitting in a messhall, her eyes opened wide as she suddenly recalled what she was doing and why she was seated here now, she also recalled what she had done. "My god, what have I done?" the Cardassian female asked aloud softly as she felt a surge of bile rising into the back of her throat, swallowing it back down, she moaned softly.
Taselle Dragon's eyes opened wide as she recalled. "Mom... You'd never forgive me for this... If you knew what I had done..." the young Cardassian female answered as she glanced around, she quickly located another woman in the room who was lying down on the ground. Taselle sighed as went over to her, as he identified the other woman as April Dragon. She whimpered softly.
Taselle gently touched her mother's shoulder. "Mom," she said quietly, her mother's eyes flickered open and suddenly there was a look of terror in April's eyes as she looked up at Taselle. "Taselle... What... What's going on?" she asked, as she sounded unsure of what she wanted to say while her eyes darted around the room, while she took in her surroundings.
"I don't know.," Taselle answered. "I don't know what that was... You felt that too?." Taselle suddenly turned a shade of deep grey as her eyes opened wide, a sign of either surprise or shame. "I was an Obsidian order agent... I was...tormenting... you."
"I know." Dragon answered. "I think you and I... shared the same experience." as she regarded her adopted daughter.
"I..." as Taselle paused. "I can't believe it..." the young Cardassian female exclaimed. "I spent three days..." she paused as she fought off a wave of nausea.
"Torturing and questioning me about Minos Korva." Dragon answered evenly. "Asking about the Farragut and the Morningstar."
"Neither you or I have ever served on either ship..." Taselle looked confused.
"I don't know what to tell you Taselle. It was.. Strange. I remember everything that happened to me from the Cardassian guards and you." she noted the Cardassian female before her was unsettled and ready to panic. "I know, it was not you. Taselle."
"But what could have caused us both to experience the same sequence of events.?" the Cardassian female gently grasped her mother's hand. "Come on, let's get you to your feet." as she gently hauled the smaller female to her feet. "I don't understand... It felt real so it was not a dream."
"No, its what no dream Taselle." as Dragon gently touched her chest, between her breasts. "Wait. You implanted me with something... It left marks on me." and with that, she peeled off her uniform jacket and the undershirt. "The incision," she commented as she peeled off her bra, leaving her breasts free as the small female was now topless while she gave herself the once over.
"Right," Taselle answered as she gently held onto her mother's jacket and clothing as April looked down, over her skin which was smooth and undamaged, she raised an eyebrow. "It wasn't real.."
"It felt real," Taselle responded in a quiet tone of voice. "You'd best dress mom before someone comes in and sees something they don't need to be seeing," she commented in a quiet tone.
"Right." as Dragon accepted her bra back from the Cardassian, she slipped it back on before she quickly slipped on her undershirt, as she finished dressing, someone walked in, the man in question noticed the two females as he suddenly felt uneasy, before he turned and departed a moment later.
Taselle regarded the officer in question, she held her silence as a small smile played at her lips.
Dragon, likewise watched in silence before she turned to the Cardassian female before her. "You don't think?"
"He might assume something very stupid," Taselle answered. "Like you and I were getting into something."
Dragon giggled. "I think Duran will find that highly amusing."
"I know my siblings would," Taselle answered evenly. "However. I don't think I will find recent events amusing," she added quietly. "What do you think it was?"
Dragon paused. "I'm not sure. But whatever it was, it must have affected others too," she commented in a gentle tone, fully aware of the fact that it had been her daughter who had tortured her and the entire event was an illusion. "Whatever it was, it was potent..." she added.
"I wonder.." Taselle ran a finger ever so gently along her jawline. "Could it have been a psionic wave.?"
"It would need to be an extremely strong telepath to project a field of that size or scale." Dragon answered evenly. "The average won't be able to do it," she commented. "That's assuming that this theory is correct..." she looked up at the larger Cardassian female before her. "Taselle, it was not your fault, neither of us could have predicted the outcome of the hallucination or what happened to cause it... All we can do is carry on as before. You are not a monster."
"I tortured you," Taselle answered softly. "I don't know how I am going to get over that," she admitted.
"I know." Dragon looked up at the taller female. "I did not expect to ever see anything like that..." she paused as she gently took the taller woman's hands in her own. "Here is what I do know... You are my daughter, ever since you came into my life when I adopted you. That has not and will not ever change." April commented in a quiet tone of voice. "Some bonds are unbreakable. Ours is forged in the fires of war."
"I don't know how you can stand there and say all that mom, after what you endured and saw," Taselle responded.
"I do, because it's true, why do you think Duran can get along with Cardassians now, especially after that, the occupation forces did to his family?." Dragon explained. "My other children had you as their big sister, you helped me raise them all. That is something no hallucination can ever take away," she added with a smile. "Nothing has changed."
Taselle regarded the smaller female before her as she tried to banish the memories of what she had done, even if it was a hallucination. "But I have changed and I can't avoid it or ignore it. You taught me better than that... I need to go and deal with this."
"I understand. If I can help?" Dragon answered.
"Thanks, mom." Taselle smiled, even though she felt like she was grievously wounded from what she had done. Illusion or not, she still had done what had been done to her mother.
