Mission 79: Sound Trumpets! Let Our bloody Colors Wave
Location: Starbase 12 - School
Timeline: 1200Hrs - April 15th, 2392
It was noon which meant that all of the children present would be fed some food. Saki Yamaguchi heard the bell and like everyone else present, the small child was hungry however unlike all of the other children present, she slowly packed up her books and walked out of the deserted classroom after everyone else, who had the brains of a wet noodle and intelligence to match, had charged for the door while packing their books back into their bags, clearly wanting to be first for lunch.
Saki Yamaguchi sighed softly to herself. "I miss my mom," she said quietly, it was also the first word she had spoken aloud for over thirty minutes.
"Are you okay?" the teacher asked her.
"No," Saki responded. "I miss home. Sarah and I miss our parents." Saki stated, as a matter of factly rather than the wailing and crying one would normally expect from a young child.
"Well, Saki. your parents are in Starfleet which means they are at war with the-" the teacher explained patiently as if she knew how Saki felt.
"Yes." Saki interrupted. "Yes, I know all of this. My mother is assigned to the Roanoke as an Engineer and my father is assigned to the Tranquility as a Doctor." the small child huffed a sigh. "I dare say I know more about it when most." as he gave the teacher a look that spoke much. "I keep getting told that everything will be fine and all will be well," Saki explained with a soft sigh. "Yeah. I'll be fine." the small child added a moment later before she turned to depart.
The teacher watched the small child leave. Vanessa Piett was silent as she did so, while she narrowed her eyes as she considered what to do with Saki Yamaguchi, the child seemed far more intelligent than she had first guessed or suspected, she also seemed wiser and more alert than her file had led Piett to guess.
Meanwhile, the door opened and Saki walked into the cafeteria, her pack over both shoulders as she got into the lineup in silence. One of her many cousins came over. he looked younger than her and an older female child watched her carefully as if sizing her up. "Hey umm Saki?" he inquired as if he wasn't a hundred percent sure of who she was.
"Yes.?" she inquired. "Who are you?" she asked the small boy.
"I'm Warrick Johnson.." he paused. "Will our parents be home soon??" the small child asked of her, clearly he knew of her.
"I don't know," Saki responded quietly. "I hope so... You eaten yet?"
"Ummm no." the small boy admitted shyly.
"Alright.. cut in front of me then.. and let's get you some food," Saki commented as someone else protested her action. "Can it, meathead." Saki snapped back. A nasty response, all out of proportion to her size and weight, she was really out of her element here and seriously outclassed by some of the larger people in the room.
"Hey watch it buthead!" the voice snapped back at her before he was suddenly yanked out of the lineup by a larger dark-skinned Vulcanish looking female child, who incidentally were both much larger than the twelve-year-old boy was "Leave her be.. or we will seriously fuck you up!" T'Nae Yamaguchi explained herself while she growled angrily.
The older child who had been picking on Saki cowered before the older Vulcanish looking female, she was much more massive than he himself was. "Where did you come from!?" the boy protested.
T'Nae gave him a look of pity. "Well. You see, it goes like this... When a man loves a woman.."
"No." Saki smiled as she added. "You're telling it wrong... It's not like that... It's actually like this... See.." the younger female then smiled as T'Nae carried on. "My dad apparently liked fucking my mom because ten months after they did, My siblings came out and then I was their youngest. Yes, mom was busy... Dad helped too."
T'Nae smiled. "And that's how baby Vulcans are born..." the tall teenage female explained. "How about you go eat your lunch and be a good boy... I hate standing over people... makes me feel all tingly inside."
Saki smiled. There was always a larger Yamaguchi close by in case someone did something stupid which around here, that tended to happen a lot as a lot of children were crammed into an area that was honestly too small for them.
Saki turned her attention back to Warrick as they reached the replicator, both placed their orders and both received their food orders moments later, picking up his in addition to hers, Saki regarded him. "So.. Where we sitting?"
"Over there". Warrick responded while he indicated the area in question. "Lead the way," Saki responded.
Saki followed the small boy before she sat down next to Warrick and what she assumed was his rather sizeable family as many of them shared many of their looks with each other. "Hey, guys... This guy found me and thought I needed to come here."
Miranda Yamaguchi smiled. "Well, I'm Miranda. Warwick's eldest sister, this is Julia." she indicated the girl next to her that looked nothing like the dark skinned Miranda. "She's my sister."
Saki smiled. "Cool," she responded.
"Aww yer full a shit, she's not yer sister." came the response from someone else, what's more, the voice was from behind Saki.
Saki turned. "Yeah. Like you'd know." the nine-year-old responded in a snide tone of voice. "You have a face only a mother could love."
"You little fucking slut!" came the response. Saki felt someone slip something large into her hand. "Hit him already... Go on girl... fucking hit him already."
Saki shrugged. "Asshole!" and with that, she smashed the coconut cream pie into the boys face with such force that it went everywhere. "Oooh," Saki added as an afterthought.
Miranda screamed "Food fight!" at the top of her lungs as suddenly the cafeteria exploded as food suddenly started flying everywhere.
Saki dove under the table, dragging Warrick with her as a large chocolate cream pie sailed overhead and crashed into T'Pamsu's face, it drizzled down onto her shirt before she yanked it off of her face and threw it back in the general direction that the pie came from.
A short time later, the cafeteria had been drenched in food, drink and only the deities only knew what else was splattered as the fight ended and the bell rang, indicating that class was now in session.
T'Pamsu smiled. "Well.. that was invigorating."
Kodian chuckled softly. "I think you missed some.. hold still." as she ran her finger over her sibling's jawline. "got it." and with that, she flicked the chocolate onto the back of the original child that had started this whole event int he first place. "Come on.. class is waiting."
Saki sighed. "Such energy is wasted," she growled as she popped the last of her food into her mouth, crunching the French fry in her mouth, between her teeth as she chewed then swallowed.
The kitchen staff came out to have their lunch as one of them commented. "What on fucking Vulcan's name happened here!?"
"Fuck!" complained another.
