Posted on Mon Mar 9th, 2020 @ 6:21am by Division Admiral Talon Yeager & Lieutenant Commander Gabriel Yamaguchi & Post Captain Plataea "Phantom" Lasky

Mission: Mission 77: Made Glorious Summer
Location: Federation Orbital Station - Officers Lounge
Timeline: 1230Hrs - April 9th, 2392

"You don't need to stay in Starfleet Intelligence... You can do something else... " Gabriel paused. "Mom is a carrier Commander. You... Were you ever good at fixing things?" Gabriel pressed his question further.

"When I was much younger..." Plataea answered. "But I have no idea whatsoever of what I wanna do... But I'd... like to get to know you better."

Gabriel smiled. "I'd like that too.." he paused.

Talon spoke up. "Well I say we celebrate... and I'm still hungry... So you guys celebrate and I'll eat the food."

"Talon. You've put away more then me and Alex combined." Plataea explained.

"Alex... Who's that?" Gabriel Yamaguchi inquired.

"She is my twin from the same reality Plataea came from..." Talon explained. "She's having the same reaction to me that you're having to Plataea here."

"So.. I have another aunt.. Great." Gabriel responded with a wide smile. "Savannah will be overjoyed to hear the news." as Plataea rose to her feet. "I'll be right back."

Plataea rose to her feet and made her way to the other side of the lounge in silence, she had no idea whatsoever of what to make of the last thirty minutes. Plataea didn't know she scared people and she had no idea that Gabriel Yamaguchi considered her like a mother to him but in hindsight it was inevitable as she didn't see it coming. She had told herself that she had no right and no claim on this family except Jake had given her the name of Yamaguchi like it was a trophy to be awarded. It upset her to think others could simply let her in if they wanted her. But she also knew that Jake meant well, considering she had two children of her own with Jake's DNA in common with her own. The third child. Selendis had been a product of rape from a third person who in her native reality was long dead as Plataea herself had murdered him for his transgressions against her. However in this reality, Division Admiral Stephen Caldwell was alive and well, with a family of his own and as Jake had already accepted Selendis as his own child. Plataea didn't need to bother anyone else with the details of the matter.

"My children are all settling in well... As are the other new arrivals... What I do really want?" Plataea asked herself while she ordered a rather large Pizza with extra cheese and meat. She knew that Talon was hungry so she aimed to satisfy the pregnant woman.

Plataea returned to the table where she had left Talon and Gabriel sitting as they waited for her. The older Halanan female placed the pizza down on the table before her as she helped herself. Talon smiled as she helped herself, within four bites the slice was gone and she was downing a second.

Gabriel regarded Talon with a smile. "Pregnancy appetites can get a little crazy at times." he shifted his attention to Plataea. "I can feel your misery... I'm a teek, not a teep but I still have those skills... Elizabeth is the opposite from me, a full teep and Rachael is a mix of both. Nix and Tressa... We won't know until they get older and their begins to bloom around age eight." he explained with a smile.

"I envy you." Plataea responded quietly. "You and your sisters. your mom and your dad... You guys have it all.. the family I always wanted and dreamed about having but... I got a monster and children with PTSD issues from the man who should have protected them..." Plataea explained. "That.. is why I feel I am not worthy."

"I say you are wrong mom." Gabriel answered quietly. "You might not be my birth mother but...To Elizabeth and Rachael, you are mom... Ouros has even addressed Torilla as mom... Selendis has too."

Talon shrugged. "You and Torilla looked identical in every way I've seen. It makes sense... Plus it'll help bring your children into his family... The question you face for yourself Plataea is... Am I ready for this..?"

"No.. I'm not." Plataea responded. "At times I feel like I'm stuck in a fantasy and I'm even living my deepest, darkest fantasy... I have no idea what I want anymore because of that..."

"Don't worry about it... When you know.. You'll know.. Until that moment comes, don't rush it and don't try to force it." Gabriel explained diplomatically. "Why rush it?" he smiled.

"Yeah.." Plataea smiled with a soft sigh. "I have some serious thinking to do..."

"You can always talk to us about it. We're all here to help guide the lost and oppressed to find their way..." Gabriel smiled. "You will find your way... in time and when you do... Know that you'll always be welcome in my family and home." he explained. "I want my children to know you and you are owed that right..." he paused. "Please don't argue with me on the matter... Mom could never win when I stuck my foot down."

"He's right you know." Talon added helpfully. "Besides. Another voice and pair of hands in the family would be welcome." the pregnant woman added with a smile.

"Alright.." Plataea responded but she knew her issues were not going to be resolved quite so easily. Plataea lifted a slice of pizza as she began to eat and Gabriel did likewise.
