Mission:
Mission 72: T'Would Ring the Bells of Heaven
Location: Various Locations - USS Courageous
Timeline: 0900Hrs - April 8th, 2392
Flight Commander Nicole Vollen smiled as she felt the comforting touch of her mate as he came to stand next to her. "Nicole. I had heard you were here... You are well I assume?"
"As well I can be expected, considering my husband is not present and I miss his company." she responded with a smile.
Nomek regarded his wife. "Indeed. It has been too long since I last spent time with my wife and mate." he sighed softly. "I will remedy that while she and I are together here."
"I hope you make her a happy woman.... Want a little advice?"
"Of course." Nomek responded
"At the end of today, take her home and bed her." Vollen responded with a smile. "I know she will appreciate it."
"I will do that." Nomek responded, however they didn't get past that point as the com system beeped at her. "Flight control to Vollen. Sir the shuttle carrying the new pilots is on final. you asked to be notified about its arrival."
Vollen regarded her husband with her eyes as she tapped her combadge, affixed to her chest over her left breast. "Yes flight control. Thank you." and with that she came around the desk. "This is only postponed and not canceled." she said to her husband. "I get off duty in about six hours." and with that she gently kissed him on the lips, he gently kissed her back. "I will see you then. Your place?"
Vollen smiled "I look forward to it."
"As do I." and with that they parted company. Him back to whatever he was doing earlier and her going to meet the personnel transport.
A few minutes later, Vollen walked into the hanger to find herself face to face with six pilots, all of them stood at attention, their duffels at their feet, the seventh was one of her more senior enlisted guys who was giving the six replacements the once over.
Vollen regarded the six. "Welcome aboard." as she waved off her senior enlisted guy. "Pilots accommodations is this way." and with that she led the six off of the hanger and into a large turbolift nearby that was easily twice the size of the standard one one normally saw. "Pilot deck."
Vollen regarded them. "I'm going to assign you to six sets of quarters, you will have your own rooms..." Vollen explained as the doors opened and the seven stepped out. "This way."
The hallways looked like the average hallways on a Federation starship as Vollen came to a stop before the first door, she handed a PADD to one of the pilots. "This.. is your new home. Your details are on the PADD, make sure to read it."
The pilot nodded. "Yessir." and with that, the pilots were reduced by one before the six people moved off down the hallway. The pilots were all reduced one at a time until Lasarra was left.
"Well Silverbolt. This is your new home." Vollen explained. "You'll be assigned to First Wing, Second Squadron... Your information is on your PADD... and try not to piss the skipper off.."
"The wing skipper or the ship skipper?." Lasarra inquired in a gentle tone of voice.
"The ships skipper.. I heard that you and she have some DNA in common." Vollen responded as she gave the smaller woman the once over.
"She is my mother... from this reality sir." Lasarra explained. "We also have issues to resolve between us.
"This reality?" Vollen inquired. "I don't quite understand." the tall woman then sighed softly.
"I'm a refugee from another reality. I look like Rachael Yamaguchi.. She is my twin except she is almost an exact duplicate of me."
"Ahh.. That explains a few things... Well so long as you don't screw up then you will start fresh here, I don't care where you have been or what you have done before you got here.. Clear?"
"Crystal sir."
"Good... Off with you then."
Lasarra turned and went into her stateroom, it had a decent sized living space with one bedroom with a small kitchenette. She also had two bathrooms, one off of the master bedroom and the second was larger but it was still very well equipped.
Lasarra smiled. "Nice... I'm going to like it here." as she proceeded to drop her bag on the sofa before she unzipped her uniform jacket, she slid it off and draped it over the sofa before she went into the bedroom.
