Mission: Mission 75: Through the Looking Glass
Location: Zekarria - Ryazar's shield
Timeline: Apr 3rd 2392

Ryuukei watched as Teval and Aerin sparred with each other using their energy manipulator abilities. Hakaya due to being pregnant was more or less forced to sit things out for the next couple of months. Both of them had come a long way since Ryuukei had begun training them to use those abilities however.

Hakaya meanwhile, was lying on the ground next to Ryuukei, purring as he gently rubbed her belly. The group of Kurokuri where using a relatively remote area of the planet Zekarria.

Both Teval and Aerin proved to be relatively evenly matched. Just recently both of them learned how to use their combat power forms, where they use their abilities to continuously absorb the surrounding energy from their environment and boosting all their combat abilities. The technique required good communication with their AI, but once mastered it proved to be a very useful ability. Normally the technique took years of training to attain, but in both Teval and Aerin's case, they both achieved it in their past.

Ra'Vak meanwhile was nearby working on a weather monitoring station, having enlisted the help of a half dozen Ferasian's to help out.

Also nearby was Leadfoot hanging out with Ki'Skye whom was also playing with the Kurokuri children.

In the brush nearby, there was a single twig that snapped underfoot. Lieutenant Moni Nasao sighed with irritation. "Must you?" she hissed softly.

"Shut it and keep walking," Duval answered quietly as he indicated the direction.

Nasao kept walking but before they came to the tree clearing. she peered forward but she saw no way around. "That facility is guarded... Looks light to me..." she indicated the weather station that was nearby. "Looks like a father playing with his children...." she was really hesitant to harm them, it showed too.

"Shoot them then.."

"No." Nasao responded darkly. "Tell me that again and I'll kill you right here and feast on your bones..." she growled in a rather threatening manner.

"Fine..." Duval sighed. "Then we'll do this the hard way," he added in a sneer. "We'll go around."

Leadfoot heard someone approaching and turned to look in the direction of the noise. he could barely make out four figures moving around in the shadows. "Hey, who is there."

Ra'Vak poked his head out of the weather station, "whats going on."

Torenna in an uncharacteristic manner hesitated. As cruel as she could be, she didn't like the idea of harming children. So she set her weapon to stun, as did Berin. Torenna ordered quietly, "stun them only."

Nasao nodded as she quickly checked her weapon whereas Duval sighed before taking a moment before he did likewise.

Leadfoot noticed the weapons just in time and shouted to Ra'Vak. "Get down!" As both of them hit the ground the phaser beams narrowly missed the two of them.

Duval snarled something in a strange language as Nasao muttered. "Idiot." she turned. "You missed." she accused him.

"So did you stupid." Duval then indicated the opposition. "Idiot!. Shoot them!" before he let fly with one phaser blast which narrowly missed the Vulcanish looking man. Duval growled before he began moving forward. "Keep them suppressed... move in and kill them!"

Ra'Vak quickly exclaimed. "Shit shit SHIT." He quickly got back into the weather station and went for a phaser pistol. Leadfoot, unfortunately, was pinned down and weaponless, so he laid there on top of KI'Skye and two of the Kurokuri children, shielding them with his own body. He noticed one of them approached and he looked up, seeing the face of Moni Nasao, holding a phaser rifle and pointing it at him. "Moni?."

Nasao looked down at him, no traces of recognition in her pretty face or her eyes which blazed with her emotion. "I do not know you... Now you will d-" was as far as she got before her rifle went flying out of her hands, as if picked up by a strong gale and flung away, out of sight.

Duval meanwhile drew his sidearm quietly. "Company's coming... Shoot them, you stupid horndog!" he addressed Cel.

Torenna and Berin both attempted to fire but found their phaser's not working. Aerin then appeared nearby, and held up his hand, which was holding a trio of power cells. "Yeah, you will find firing your phasers a little difficult."

Teval meanwhile helped Leadfoot to his feet. He then looked down at Moni Nasao, whom was laying on her back looking up at him. "What is the meaning of this.?"

Nasao glared darkly at the small being that she didn't know. "Why you little shit!" she snarled, before she gathered a ball of lightning then she flung it at Teval. "I'm gonna turn you into a steak!" she snarled angrily.

Teval casually knocked the energy attack aside, sending it flying harmlessly up into the air. He didn't say a word to her yet, but he knew immediately, this wasn't the Moni Nasao he knew. For one she didn't have energy manipulator abilities.

Nasao growled as she gathered a second, she then fired it at Teval while he swatted it aside, she gathered a third, then a forth and then a fifth, all of which he swatted aside easily.

Nasao gathered a sixth, easily her most powerful. "I will have you!" she growled as she flung the energy sphere at her intended target.

Duval meanwhile came out of the woods, his target was Leadfoot, however, he made no noise as he rushed the position occupied by the Caitain male.

Ra'Vak then came out of the Weather station with his phaser in hand and fired at Duval, but missed because he has never been a very good shot.

Nasao sighed as she paused, then she fired off her last shot as she felt her strength leaving her, she dropped to one knee as she watched her last blast streaking towards its target.

Teval simply lifted up his hand and grabbed the energy blast, and casually absorbed the attack. "Sorry, but your skill level is not enough to challenge me." He then made a counter-attack with a stun blast but Berin immediately appeared in front of Moni and deflected the blast.

Teval, looked like he had just seen a ghost. The Ghost of his long-dead friend form so man years ago, "Berin, its been a long time since I have seen you."

Berin glared at Teval. "Sorry, but I don't recognize you."

Teval sighed. "I though you might say that, your from that other universe, aren't you."

Berin didn't answer, instead throwing an energy blast of his own at Teval, whom had to put a lot more effort into deflecting that attack.

Nasao lay on her back, she wheezed softly. "Duval.... asshole... I'm gonna... fucking.. hurt you for.. this.." she whimpered softly.

Duval growled softly. "Berin, shoot him already..." as he reached Leadfoot. "I'm gonna hurt you!"

Berin had his hand's full dueling with Teval, Ra'Vak tried to shoot Duval again, but the Phaser failed to fire. So in desperation, he simply threw the weapon at Duval, catching him square in the face.

Duval lifted his head. "YOU!" he roared as he dove over the prone figure of Leadfoot, leaving him unharmed as he charged at Ra'Vak, a wordless roar of rage leaving his lips.

Ra'Vak had the look of "Oh shit on his face and he quickly turned to run the other way. Fortunately, Duval didn't get very far as Ryuukei appeared in front and hit Duval with a stun blast.

Duval dropped like a box of rocks, landing in a heap in the rocks at the feet of Ryuukei.

Nasao sighed softly as she looked up at the stars overhead, she found them oddly beautiful to behold, as she felt some of her old injuries lock up her muscles. "Awww hell.." she muttered.

Ryuukei looked at the Duval lying on the ground and was immediately able to put the puzzle together, so he decided to contact Plataea Yamaguchi. "Ryuukei to Plataea, I have some friends for you, four of them I think."

Ryuukei looked around and noticed Noni on the ground and Berin Dueling with Teval, but he could have sworn there was a fourth one around. But he couldn't sense her now.

Unal's response came back. "Copy that,. I'm on my way." Plataea Unal had been resting in bed when the call came in, so she climbed out of bed, before she donned her uniform, there was something in the term 'friends' so she began to pull out the armored crate she had kept with her, quickly donning the suit once she had opened the crate, she went out the door, looking every inch like walking death.

A minute or so later she appeared on the planet, she spotted Ryuukei so she made her way over to him. "Whats going on?" she inquired quickly, wanting to cover as much ground as possible.

Ryuukei looked up at the battle between Berin and Teval while he casually pointed at Duval. "Recognize him?."

Duval still remained motionless as Plataea moved slowly over the rocks, she moved speedily to his side. "Lieutenant Commander Jefferson Duval.... Yes... he's from my home reality." she paused, as she glanced over at the battle between Teval and someone she didn't know before she spotted a downed female Caitian nearby. "Thats... Lieutenant Moni Nasao... She used to be my spotter once upon a time... Where's the fourth?" she inquired.

Ryuukei shook his head. "I don't know."

Plataea nodded. "Alright... Well I can't leave him here like this... so Lets send them up to the ship... I want to get them looked at."

Meanwhile Torenna Cel moved as fast as she could through the wood's heading back to their landing site. It took her only a few moments to reach the clearing where their cloaked shuttle was parked. Looking over her shoulder she could tell no one was following, so she quickly got into the shuttle and began her takeoff procedures.

Berin was breathing heavily, while he paused, staring at his opponent, whom was considerably smaller than him,and yet, he didn't look tired at all. With Torenna gone, it looked like there was no way out of this situation.

Teval gave a small smile. "So, your quite skilled. "Tell me, how did you get these abilities."

Berin growled. "As if you would care."

Teval chuckled. "Now now my old friend, of course I care, because those abilities distinctly come from Akurian technology." Berin responded by gathering up up another energy blast and throwing it hard at Teval. "I am not your friend." To his surprise, his opponent casually deflected the blast, "your worn out, so how much do you want to continue."

Berin growled loudly and started gathering up a lot of energy, so much he was risking burning himself, "Shuttup, I will beat you you little runt."

Teval smiled and stood there casually. "Oh really, because I have been holding back you know."

The look on Berin's face was complete surprise, he briefly lost control of the attack and sent it flying on an off direction, missing Teval completely. "That's impossible, no way."

Teval nodded. "Oh yes, I have." He then gathered his own energy and activated his newly acquired power form."

Berin whom could sense the energy radiating from Teval, had a complete look of shock on his face, He knew now, he was completely outmatched. Faced with no other potion, he attempted to gather power for another attack, but before he got the chance, Teval appeared inches from him, and gathering his power into his fist, the Kurokuri landed one hit to Berin's midsection, causing the Caitian to fall face forward into the dirt, out cold. Teval then powered down and looked at Moni.
"You would be wise not to try and fight any further."

Nasao mewled softly. "Awww nuts.." she responded quietly. "Who and what are you.." she inquired. "I will not have a conversation with you standing over me like this..."

The soft sound of footfalls gently echoed around as Nasao turned her head to regard the woman before her.

"Hello Lieutenant Nasao... Authentication code November Sierra Echo Two.." she paused. "I am who I appear to be."

"Commander Unal?" Nasao asked softly. "How are you alive and well... Did these people turn you?"

"No Lieutenant... Stand down... These people mean you no harm.. "

"You were presumed... lost months ago... you and your team..."

"My team is alive and well... Toshnarr is serving in this universes Federation... Ouros, Selendis and Lassara are alive and doing very well..." Plataea explained.

"I see... So you were not put to the sword?"

"This Universe is my home now... and they don't do that barbaric practice here... Where is the rest of your team?"

"Duval is over there somewhere... Berin..." she swallowed nervously. "He's here and Lieutenant Torenna Cel ..... I don't know where she went."

Unal looked up. "I guess that answers that..." she paused. "Anyway... you three are coming up to the USS Dreamcrusher with me.. Duval is in no state to argue the point and neither are you... your friend however... I'm not so sure." she turned. "Teval... refresh my memory please... What laws have these guys violated?." she inquired.

Teval answered simply. "Well, they opened fire on us with phasers, Don't know what setting though."

"Stun," Aerin answered as he inspected the weapons.

Teval looked at Plataea. "Well that settles that, they tried to stun us, not sure why though."

Meanwhile Ki'skye got curious and approached Moni Nasao cautiously, with both Nyuari and Takov with her.

Unal nodded her head, sagely as if used to this. "Okay then... I'll take these three back to Dreamcrusher... Where I can give them a full medical examination, Celeste will enjoy the work as it'll give her something to do."

Nasao paused. "Celeste.... as in Celeste Yamaguchi?"

"You know her?"

"Captain Celeste Yamaguchi was stripped of her commission and her rank." she turned as she regarded Ryuukei. "thanks to you one shotting the ship she was commanding.... with the ship you were commanding... Don't bother to deny it."

Unal sighed. "There is a lot to tell with that story."

"Yes.. I know." Nasao agreed. "I look forward to the telling of your side of it..." as she indicated Ryuukei. "And yours too."

Unal gently picked up Jefferson Duval, she grunted as she picked him up in a fireman's carry. "Alright... Lets get these guys up to the ship.."
she said to Teval. "What about your friend?" she indicated Berin.

Teval shrugged. "He is an old friend of mine, or at least he was in our reality. Anyway, with the two Caitians we are going to need Akurian Doctors, they have Akurian style implants in their bodies."

"I understand... I'd like to get those abilities for myself... if it can be arranged." Unal responded with a smile, she tapped her combadge. "Unal to Dreamcrusher. Could you guys contact one of the Akurian ships... We need a few Akurian medics.. we have a rather.. special medical case planetside.."

McKnights voice came back. "Roger that... We're calling them now.. Do you require aid?"

"Not as such but let medical know we have company... and tell Celeste that she might have an issue coming her way... I'll explain later..." Unal responded. "Prepare to beam up..." she quickly looked around. "Five on my request."

"Understood." McKnight responded as Nasao looked up at her. "I will not betray the empire.."

"Nobody is asking anything of you... Moni... so relax.." Unal responded as she gently set Duval down at her feet before she went to go fetch Berin. "Alright... Teval.. you coming with or no?"

Teval gave her a look. "You think I am passing this one up, yeah not going to happen."

"I thought you'd want to come along." Unal responded. "Dreamcrusher, beam myself and Teval up along with our three ... people.." was the word she settled on a moment later.

"Copy that. Energizing now." and with that the five people were beamed away.
