Mission: Mission 68: Unsteady is the Head the Wears the Crown
Location: Council Chambers - Kronos, OMEGA LEONIS
Timeline: 1300Hrs, April 3rd, 2392

J'mpok raged as the report came in from his Ambassador who was handed a very dark declaration that unless the Kingons quit screwing around there would be war. "LET THEM COME!" J'mpok thundered loudly. "We will DESTROY them all!!"

There was silence around the High council as they all pondered what exactly was going on, this was all news to them as they settled in to listen to what J'Mpok had to rage about. "The Gorn Hegemony has threatened us, my fellow Council members that they blame us for their woes and that unless we stop interfering in their affairs then it will be war between our nations." J'mpok explained. "I have just come from a meeting with the Klingon Ambassador to the Gorn where he has informed me as to the event in question."

"What!" the outrage was palatable from even the back of the room where a shadowed figure stood, hooded and cloaked. He smiled as he muttered aloud. "Impressive J'mpok. I figured you'd be a patsy but I underestimated you." and with that he turned and slunk off back into the shadows where he belonged.

"Honorable Klingons have been taken prisoner without regard for their honor, trying to deliver a consignment of foodstuffs to the Gorn settlement on Hanoran Three... The Gorn neglect their own... so we will show them the folly of challenging us to battle... To War!" J'mpok called loudly. "We will invade the Gorn and destroy their fleets and conquer them!"

The rage from the other counselors was evident, the fires and soot made their faces into dark and macabre masks, twisted and vile. One of the counselors shouted "Who should lead this invasion!"

The response came back that it should be Klag, son of M'Raq and he was summoned moments later, several minutes later the doors opened and in walked Klag. "You called for me Chancellor?"

"I wish for you to plan an invasion of Gorn space, We have been threatened and we will teach them some manners."

Klag kept his mouth shut while he nodded while the Chancellor handed him his orders. "I will handle matters Chancellor.. What resources may I call on?"

"Whatever you need, you will have Klag. I want your plan as soon as possible..." he paused as he handed Klag a data slate. "The information regarding the Gorn threat is on this." he then added "You are dismissed General."

Klag accepted the data slate. "Thank you Chancellor. I will be back in two days with my plans for your authorization."

"Very well." and with that Klag departed in silence.
