Mission: Mission 98: Building Our New Home
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 1730Hrs - July 20th, 2393

Tienn Nerra was sitting on the sofa, while the food was slowly being cooked and Balin was assisting K'taro with affairs in the kitchen while the twins Tienn were seated a dozen or so feet away, knee-deep in conversation. Things were getting heated and it was showing. "You are being unfair," Iteela growled.

"How so?" Nerra asked of her twin. "You think K'taro over there tolerates weakness or stupidity?" the tall female asked. "Way to pay attention."

"He rules this household and you are nothing more than-" Iteela started but was then halted with Nerra running her over. "Do not finish that sentence or he won't need to deal with you, I'll bounce you out of here so hard, you'll think you were back on Bajor," Nerra growled. "I will not tolerate insults under my roof. You might get away with it with Nebris but you will not get away with it with me." she was now truly annoyed. "If you are going to insult K'taro. At least do him the honor of telling it to his face. I guarantee he won't like it but he will respect it." she growled.

"But you said-" Iteela started but Nerra ran her over a second time. "I know what I said, he may respect you but I won't. It will anger me to no end and I do not need to lose my temper around all these kits. my life is difficult enough without you coming in here and insulting everyone." Nerra growled.

"I'm sorry," Iteela answered.

"Thank you," Nerra responded in kind. "What are you going to do with the children?" she inquired.

"I'm going to ask mom for help with them." Iteela paused. "Starfleet personnel stuck me on notice that I might be getting reassigned." she paused a moment. "That's just a rumor but it's worth paying attention to. Plus it came from Galiaan Fordring."

Nerra didn't know Fordring all that well but what she did know indicated that Fordring was not the type to open her mouth unless there was a credible level to the rumor. "Did you stick in for reassignment?" Nerra inquired.

"No," Iteela commented. "I wanted to stay and resolve my issues but it seems I might not get the chance." the other woman sighed softly. "Hopefully mom will take in the kids while Starfleet is sticking it to me."

"Iteela, you really need to think a little more and use your mouth a little less. It will help you. really." Nerra commented a moment later. "Trust me on that. I made that mistake and it nearly cost me everything."

"Didn't that happen to you?" Iteela inquired of her twin.

"Actually, yes it did," Nerra commented. "K'taro. You got a moment?" she turned as she asked her husband to come over. "Would you mind telling the story of how we met, you tell it better then I do. I'll go help Balin with his homework." the tall female rose to her feet before she moved off into the kitchen where Balin was presently watching over a large pan where he was cooking some ground beef.

K'Taro nodded to his spouse. "Iteela." he addressed his wife's twin, the resemblance was uncanny as the two clearly came from the same place at the same time, the same egg from within their mother. "What is it that you wish to know?"

"How did you two meet?. Since Nerra brought it up," Iteela answered as she regarded the Klingon before her.

"Well, that was quite a glorious tale, one of battles and misunderstandings," K'taro commented evenly. "When the Hurgh'maS docked at Starbase Watchman, I was sent to obtain supplies from the bases quartermaster. I was expecting people to run with fear but this Bajoran woman refused to even budge. She-" he indicated Nerra with his thumb as he spoke "-told me to get in line and I'll deal with you in the order of your arrival." he started. "I was not used to having my authority questioned and neither was she, so we ended up in a fistfight."

"I bet that went down really well," Iteela answered lightly.

"I did not, my commander had to clean up the mess and she found her long lost housemate quite by accident as a result," K'taro commented evenly.

"Yes... Nerra told me about that little detail. So she has you to thank for that, nice." Iteela responded. "Go on..."

"I was curious about this woman. She fought well." The Klingon explained. "So I wanted to see how well she fought so I challenged her to a duel... She initially refused to be before losing her temper and accepting, it was a rather brutal fight but it made me realize that there was more to her then I guessed and I yielded the duel to her, despite the fact that I had physically beaten her."

"So that story is true then," Iteela answered evenly. "I confess, I didn't give it a lot of credence."

"It was after that, I took her to medical, my second got to bed one of the Doctors for his troubles. I believe Kul still speaks of her with respect." K'taro explained with a smile. "Nerra and I had a meal and then ended up in bed together. She is quite the athlete."

"I'm not sure I wanna be hearing details of your sex life," Iteela answered while she laughed at the same time. "It sounds like you two somehow managed to make things work... May we all be so fortunate." she smiled at him as the call came from the kitchen. "Dinners ready guys.. Come and get it!" Nerra called loudly.

"Come on hero, lets go eat." Iteela said to K'taro before the two moved into the kitchen where the other children were already gathering.
