Recalling Lost Memories

Posted on Fri Mar 6th, 2020 @ 8:21pm by Division Admiral Celeste Yamaguchi-Hobbs

Mission: Mission 67: In The Service of Life and the Living
Location: Various Locations - USS Dreamcrusher
Timeline: 1300Hrs - March 1st, 2392

The date was February the twenty sixth in the year of the Terran's, twenty three ninety two and she was finishing the last order she had from Daisy Rohr, it had gotten sidetracked until it had been forgotten about as the two women separated, one went to the Roanoke and then over to the Argonne and the other went to the Dreamcrusher, now fate had brought these two back together again, both had gotten into relationships and both were either pregnant or had children.

Celeste smiled as she finished attaching the last piece of metal to the helmet that Daisy had requested from her almost eighteen months ago as the human woman who was pregnant wanted to ensure that it would turn out to be useful, she finished as she admired the helmet. "I'm Sorry Daisy that this took so long ..."

Jarvis spoke up. "Celeste, are you well?" the AI was fully functional and while it had the same level of detail in its program that the EMYH mark one had twenty years ago, Jarvis was something rather unique and special. Marie Yamaguchi had gone out of her way and had created several versions of Jarvis, each one was special in its own way and this one had been named Jarvis by Celeste, his goal was to look after her forge and ensure that nobody broke in.

"I'm alright... I was just thinking." Celeste admitted aloud.

"Tell me?" the AI inquired in a gentle tone as Celeste decided to tell the story, she found herself mentaly going back to that day eighteen months ago, she smiled as she almost saw herself going back in ti,e, down memory lane.

Eighteen months earlier, while assigned to the USS Shadow. Commander Celeste Yamaguchi had no doubt that she looked like a truly frightening sight as she walked down the hallway, wearing hazard armor which was stained and pitted, like she had been in a real warzone, she had two rather evil looking warblades over her shoulders, one on each side.

"'G'Day Captain" Yamaguchi greeted the Klingon woman. "Don't worry, I'm just passing through.... like a case of the trots." as she gave the other woman a grin. "You are overdue for your checkup..."
she added, as if confessing a trade secret.

"Sorry Doctor, been busy with us getting out to space and all." Daisy explained. She looked down at the wicked set of blades on a medical table. "Um, your not going to use those on me are you?"

"Oh these are for the demonic kitty-" Yamaguchi explained, referring to Lieutenant Selgae, who was known for being more trouble then she was honestly worth at times. "-you've come to hate so much..." Yamaguchi grinned. "Why... you want a pair of these too?"

"I poke myself enough with my fork." Daisy told Celeste. "I would take up permanent residence in sick bay if I wore those."

"Do you want a weapon like one of these?" Celeste inquired. "I'm making a blade for Orthos... she commented. "He requested a rather evil looking warblade and I'm presently creating it for him."

"Those do look nice." Daisy admitted. "To be honest, I would probably just hang that on my wall rather than use it."

"Well.. I can make you anything you want." Celeste responded with a wide grin.

Daisy thought to herself. "I could use a 23rd Century Klingon war helmet. If that is doable?"

"You'll need to draw up the specs for me." she paused. "Then there is the matter of payment." Yamaguchi paused. "I usually charge a couple of bars of latinum but i'll accept other forms of barter."

Daisy thought for a moment. "I have the details on a PADD in my quarters. When I get off duty. And I can pay you a couple of bars. Just as long as the Shadow is in dock."

"Okay. That sounds good." Celeste responded. "When do you need it by?"

"Just whenever you finish." Daisy told Yamaguchi. "There is no rush."

"Okay... I have no issues with that.... Making gear is different then making weapons..." she explained. "I'll have to do some research first.."

"Like I said," Daisy told Celeste "I have the specs. I'll send them to you."

"I look forward to reading them." Celeste commented.

Now eighteen months later, pregnant and with a few grey hairs. "That's how I ended up making and losing this particular order..." she explained as Javis sighed. "Well I guess you are making it now."

"I am... this delay was downright unacceptable. The Captain... Major now gave me good money for it and I never paid her back for it." Yamaguchi shrugged. "I'd ... best finish it... Daisy is not a patient woman and her patience up to this point has been nothing shorty of glacial... I can only assume she forgot too."
