Location: Tuanko Colony - Planet Surface - Water Treatment Center
Timeline: 1200Hrs Local Time - Feb 26th, 2392

Major Tienn Nerra was one of the smallest of her immediate siblings, she sighed softly as she handed the PADD back to her subordinate who regarded her with a look. "Its not gonna work. Tell the Engineers to back and do it again.... They missed something..." she paused. "Or we got crappy parts.." the small Bajoran admitted with a sigh.

"Right away sir." and with that the combat Engineer accepted the PADD and raced off as the door opened and in walked a rather massive Caitian wearing the uniform of a marine medic. "Major Tienn?"

"Oh now what?" Tienn asked herself as she turned to regard the Caitian who addressed her. "Yes Major?" as she sighed, it was common knowledge that these two were dating quietly.

"My people are still in need of those test results. Are they prepared?" he inquired of his girlfriend.

"No. My guys haven't finished getting the disposal system working yet..." Tienn responded as she regarded her boyfriend with a knowing smile. "They are working on it..." she added.

"I see." 'Greyscarr' Abooksigun responded evenly. "Do you believe the virus is in the water supply?" as he gave her a soft smile.

"I do." Tienn responded. "Its spread through touch to touch contact, blood to blood. and through sharing various items like utensils.." she explained. "Its not airborne otherwise the whole planet would be infected along with all of us sugar." the small Bajoran smiled. "Though do you think we could share a bunk?"

'Greyscarr' Abooksigun smiled as he peered down at her. "I promise to be gentle."

"Now now.... We're in public.." as she blew him a kiss. "Later however.. I won't be." as she flirted with him.

"I didn't know you were do direct on matters."

"Its the best way really swee-" she coughed as she stopped herself right at the last second. "Sorry Major."

"Its fine." The massive being responded. "So you don't believe that this virus could become airborne?" he inquired.

"No." Tienn responded with a soft smile. "Not a chance.."

"I wish I had your faith." Abooksigun reflected as he handed her a PADD.

"Its not faith... Its knowledge and skills.... You recall my sisters.."

"I almost bedded one of them by mistake, thinking that she was you... How is Iteela doing?"

"She's better then she was a couple of months ago... But that was not your fault.."

"I wish I had knon-"

"Greyscarr... What happened to her wasn't your fault." Tienn responded with a smile. "You didn't smash her face into the ground and very nearly left her as a comatose vegetable." she explained. "You were just hitting on her..." she sighed softly. "Come on... Lets go over these figures and see how best to help out with the medical situation."

The Caitian nodded. "Lead the way." and the two of them retreated into a nearby office, he sat on the table as she proceeded to sit down in one of the chairs. "This bugs point of origin confuses me.."

"How so?"

"Its acting like its a water based bug... but some aspects are transmitted through bodily fluids."

Greyscarr chuckled. "I'll make sure not to have sex with you if you're infected."

"I'll be disappointed but.... I'll get over it.." Tienn responded in a dry tone. "But this is one persistent bug... Even though it mutates very quickly... its basic form remains the same.."

Greyscarr nodded. "That makes sense... After all a virus is simply a parasite by another form."

"Yeah. Come on.... We got wok to do." and with that she hopped out of her chair as she gently grasped his massive paw on her way past, he followed the smaller Bajoran woman in silence.
