Mission: Mission 64: Mortal's Chiefest Enemy
Location: Near the B Kayor System
Timeline: 1100Hrs - February 23rd, 2392

Commander Daniel McKnight knew that within an hour, this three week mission would soon be over and his personnel could have a few days off as they sorted things out for themselves and their families, McKnight didn't begrudge them the time off for themselves. He sat behind his desk as he looked at the over six hundred requests for a few days off.

"Computer, respond to all leave requests... Approved, all personnel get ten days off." McKnight commented as he smiled. "I'm going to stick in commendations for bravery for the marines we have aboard."

"Yes Commander." the computer responded evenly, her dulcet tones were a gentle balm doe McKnights troubled mind.

The doorbell beeped. "It's Open!" McKnight called as Lt Commander Tanya Stevenson came into the office. "Captain.."

"Whats up Doctor."

"I finished the medical reports for your review, sir."

McKnight indicated a chair across from him. "Have a seat and let me look over what you have." he watched as she sat down before she pushed the PADD across to him. "You and your people saved a lot of lives in this mission Doctor... You should be commended for all your work.. and I intend to stick in paperwork reflecting this."

"Yessir," Stevenson responded, she sounded more rested then she had for a few days but there was no mistaking her tone, she needed some time off and the sooner the better.

"You're putting Lieutenant Yamaguchi in for the Bronze star?" McKnight inquired.

"She was in a firefight three separate times and had to kill to protect herself and others. I felt it was warranted. Scorch agrees with me."

"Okay. I'll stick in the paperwork for that too... All your medical personnel who went planetside will receive commendations.." McKnight added. "I have a meeting scheduled with Fleet Admiral April Yamaguchi where I will press her for extended shore leave, this crew have gone above and beyond over the last three weeks and they earned it."

At this, Stevenson smiled. "Yessir."

"Anything else you want from me?" McKnight inquired.

"How are the requests coming along?" Stevenson responded, leaning forward in the chair as she regarded him with the look that doctors, bartenders and new mothers had.

"I have the computer approve all of them, everyone is going to get ten days and any shore leave the Admiral grants will be tacked on after that..." McKnight responded. "I'm going to going to ask Foehammer to test out for science permanently. He has done very well considering he was not trained officially for the position."

"Well, that should make Elizabeth very happy... both bits of news.."

"I'll let you share the news with her then. Off with you.. Let me get some work done." McKnight gently shooed her out of his office as he went back to his paperwork.

Meanwhile, on the main bridge, Commander Celeste Yamaguchi smiled as she made herself comfortable in the command chair. "Time till arrival helm?" as Yamaguchi smiled, she missed the company of her wife.

Twenty minutes sir." Oriana responded. "We're now approaching the system."

Yamaguchi nodded as she watched the display before her. "Bring us out of warp..." as the stars flashing by suddenly reverted back to being points in the sky.

Yamaguchi smiled as she regarded Shadowsong. "Hail the flagship and inform them we've arrived."

"Willdo Commander." as the older woman went to work while Yamaguchi closed her eyes, while she took a moment to enjoy the moment.
