Mission: Mission 61: The Blood-Dimmed Tide
Location: B Kayor system
Timeline: Feb 3 2392

The USS Dreamcrusher, along with the Destroyers of the battlegroup dropped out of warp in the B Kayor System. Zuko took a look at the sensor plot in the system, noticing that the vast majority of the Akurian fleet was still here. The system was full of activity. nearly 20 very large freighters where setting up a system of orbital stations that Zuko quickly recognized as an Akurian planetary force field. Several other Cargo vessels where deploying industrial manufacturing units on to the planets surface.

Zuko monetarily felt as though he was back home. However, right now, he had other things on his mind. Looking at McKnight," You have the bridge, there is something I want to see."

Daniel McKnight regarded Zuko in silence before he nodded after a moment. "I understand."

Zuko then tapped his combadge, saying. "Zuko to Celeste, any medic you can spare, they will be needed on the planets surface."

Celeste Yamaguchi went into the regular sickbay where most of her staff were assembled. "They are ready to go." she responded to Zuko. "Alright. all of you will see and hear things you will not like, that is to be expected but this is a special case. The guys planetside are all Caitians that have been enslaved for decades if not centuries so they will be on edge and mistrustful of us. Be mindful of yourselves, each other and what you are doing and we will come out of the other side with several billion new citizens who are ready to go wherever they wish.." Yamaguchi nodded once. "That is all. Team leaders, move 'em out."

The four junior ranking Doctors turned to their various groups as they led them out the door, one group at a time and each was heading to a different transporter room. Celeste had kept herself, two other doctors and six nurses from a staff of some sixty people.

The pregnant Doctor tapped her combadge. "Yamaguchi to Zuko. My medical guys are on their way..." she commented before she went back into her office to retrieve her PADD before she decided to sit down on a biobed so she could work.

Meanwhile on the bridge. The Caitian female at Security regarded Zuko. "Captain... May I accompany you.?" she sighed. "Protocol and all that nonsense."

McKnight smiled but said nothing.

Zuko looked at the cheetah-like Selgae, replying. "I figured as much, yeah you can come."

Selgae followed Zuko into the turbolift in silence, minutes later the two were at their destination. It was a madhouse with people moving around, tending to wounded and the like.

Division Admiral April Dragon was tending to a wounded Ferasian, she had peeled off her uniform jacket and wrapped it around the wounded Ferasians's child who looked somewhat terrified. "Its gonna be okay.."

April almost jumped when she felt a paw on her shoulder, she found herself looking into the eyes of Vrr'Srhann'rr. "Vrr'Srhann'rr... It's good to see you old friend."

Siranna gave her old friend a big hug. "Yes April... You look well." as the two turned to tend to the wounded Ferasian as Siranna tended to the small child.

Selgae looked from left to right as she mewled softly. "The Klingons .... caused this..." she muttered darkly. "I will make them BLEED!" she hissed a moment later.

Zuko took a look around the encampment, which at this point was a massive tent city. Scattered among the tents where numerous Akurian shuttles and a few federation ones, as well as any structure or cargo container the Akurian could salvage and re purpose as housing, plus just about every Tank, APC, or other vehicle the Akurian could spare. In the far background, several kilometers off, he noticed a prefabrication military base being set up. Looking to his right, about a 100 meters off, was the shores of a large bay, the Akurians had set up a makeshift dock which was lined to multiple airships and aircraft carriers, all of them being re purposed as temporary housing.

It had been a while since he had seen an Akurian airship, large 350 meter long vessels capable of both flight and floating. The airship even resembled old style wet naval vessels, however the vessel had large solar shades set up over the gun turrets and upper deck to provide shelter for thousands of Ferasian refugees.

Looking back at Selgae, Zuko commented. "Don't worry, in time we will make the Klingon's pay for their actions, I too want to take the fight to the Klingon's and liberate every slave they have under their banner."

Selgae blinked as she didn't realize that she had spoke aloud. "This is only going to get worse... you know that."

Just then Zuko's combadge beeped. "Dreamcrusher to Zuko. Skipper.. about two thousand Federation ships just arrived enmass... They are older ships, most of them look fit for the scrapheap.... Their lead ship is hailing the Akurian command... says they are here, compliments of April Yamaguchi."

Selgae raised an eyebrow. "April Yamaguchi is impressing me.... Its time we got into the fight!"

One of the Federation officials who looked like a desk pusher responded. "The Federation Council has decided that we are not to get involved."

"Whats your name... Ensign??" Selgae inquired quietly.

"Ensign Richard Jenkins...."

Zuko didn't even look at the man, simply commenting, "Son, there always comes a time when just following orders is not the right thing to do, and you must take action, regardless of what your superiors say, even if that action could cost you your career and life. You may not understand now, hell you may never understand, but as far as I am concerned, To hell with our orders, and to hell with the federation council's decision."

"But sir" the Ensign got before Selgae's temper fused white hot and she lashed out with her foot, kicking him in the head, he went down in a heap. "Much better." she added a moment later.

April Dragon meanwhile flagged down two medical orderlies. "Take this guy up to one of the ships, any one I don't care.. he fainted." and with that she winked at them. It was also clear his injuries were not caused by fainting.

"Aye Admiral." The first guy smiled back at her. "He will be... removed." and with that the three of them called for a beam-up to one of the orbiting destroyers.

April Dragon sighed softly when she felt someone physically pick her up and almost crush her in a rather powerful hug. "Mom.." came a voice as the wind left April's lungs, she wheezed softly as the massively powerful being gently set her back down again.

"Its good to see you mom..."

April looked up into the eyes of a man she recalled as her own child. "Ironhide..?" she whispered. "I was told you were dead..." she addressed the massive being before her.

"Compared to what these guys went through, I was only poked and prodded. The Klingons wanted to make their own supersolder program... I had Sideswipe with me... Now she's eager for revenge... considering what they did to her..."

April winced as she recalled all too well what it was to be a prisoner without any sort of legal protection. "Yes... I can well imagine."

Selgae regarded the two figures before her, one looked to be rather small for a human and the other was simply gigantic for human yet they looked close enough in looks to be mother and son or brother and sister. "Admiral..." Selgae addressed April

"Yes Selgae?" she paused. "This is John ... My son... Its... complicated."

Selgae regarded the massive man. "I can well imagine." she responded.

Zuko found himself looking at a human whom was far larger than he ever really seen before. Though Zuko was still taller, the guy seemed to be about the same mass as Zuko. "Well, your big."

One Ferasian, a cougar type, whom carried a Klingon dagger and a disruptor, and had a necklace made of Klingon house badge's, commented. "Yeah, and he can fight like you wouldn't believe. If it hadn't been for him, our ship might not have made it out."

Zuko looked at the Ferasian, whom bore several recently healed injuries and numerous scars. Zuko could immediately tell, this individual had seen more than his fair share of fights.

John Antilles nodded his head. "The Klingons abuse their prisoners... I want a little payback."

"Well... they told me you were here." Fleet Admiral Paul Antilles commented with a smile. "Hello John. Its great to see you."

John Antilles went over to the man he called his father before he gave him a hug. "They told me you were dead son.... They lied to me..." Antilles whispered, the reunion between father and son ended as April went over to them both. "Paul." April smiled up at him. "Its good to see you."

Selgae watched in silence. "So... Zuko... you ever wonder if everyone in the Federation agrees with the Council's orders?"

Zuko gave a small chuckle," Oh I know for a fact not everyone agrees with their orders." He then lost his simple as he looked around. So many of the ferasians where visibly in poor condition. But others where in relatively decent condition, at least physically.

Zuko walked up to a nearby Snow leopard like Ferasian. His fur was largely flawless and he looked unusually healthy compared to most others, but all he was really doing was staring at the sky.

The Ferasian noticed Zuko's presence, and asked. "So do all skies look like this, I don't really know, my masters never really let me out much."

"What did the Klingons do to you.?" Selgae inquired gently.

The Ferasian shrugged. "Eh I was a breeder, they forced me to impregnate however many females they felt like."

Selgae blinked as the full horror hit her all at once, as she took a step back. "In Valens name.." she whispered the name of her primary deity. "The Klingons..... must pay.. for this..." she whispered. "the Klingons.. will Fall before my... before our.. Wrath!"

Paul Antilles turned his head as he heard the Caitian female lose her temper before he came over. "El Tee?"

"I'm sorry sir..." Selgae seemed embarrassed at her outburst.

"Don't be." Paul smiled at her. "The Klingons will pay in full. I promise you... How... That I'm not sure.. but I know some members of my family will want to join you in this effort and I will not deny them." he nodded to Zuko. "Zuko. You look well... I assume you will want to assist your brethren in liberating these people?"

Zuko gently and slowly pulled Selgae close to him, and hugged her, then replied to Paul. "Even if I have to resign my commission, I am going to fight along side my people, I have no intention of standing for this, injustice."

"You won't need to resign anything. Consider your leave granted until further notice." Antilles responded with a smile. "I'm going to let you in on a little secret... once April Yamaguchi has her forces in place.. we will wait for the Klingons to something stupid.. then we will crush them with ruthless force."

Zuko looked down at Selgae, saying. "And what do you want to do."

Selgae paused. "I want to make the Klingons pay..." she responded. "Make then suffer for ever thinking we were animals to them."

Zuko nodded, then tapped his combadge. "Zuko to McKnight."

McKnight's voice came back. "I'm here skipper. Whats up?"

"Im going to be taking a leave of absence," Zuko explained," Both me and Selgae, so you will be in charge of Dreamcrusher until further notice."

"Sounds good skipper." McKnight responded evenly. "I assume you're going to assist with the... Caitian situation?" he inquired.

Zuko's answer was a simple. "Yep."

"Alright.. I'll look after things until further notice." McKnight responded, he sounded resigned to the fact and there was little he could do about it.
