Mission: Mission 49: The Stars Look Down
Location: Various Locations - USS Courageous
Timeline: 1500Hrs - November 10th, 2391

Captain Torilla Yamaguchi reached her destination before she tapped the door chime, requesting entry of the person within, after checking the computer twice, Torilla knew that Saia Azuresteel was within before she gently tapped her combadge. "Yamaguchi to Haig?"

"Haig here. Go ahead Captain."

"When you get a chance, Could you drop by Saia's office, I have a problem I need your expert opinion on." Torilla sighed. "Its.. Jake. from the Pineapple Incident."

"Sounds lovely, I'll be there straight away sir." came the unexpected response. "Haig out."

Torilla tapped the door release before she entered. "Afternoon Saia. You got a moment?.. I was wondering if you had got the news about Jake Yamaguchi yet?" as she produced a PADD. "The good news.. and the bad news.." as she handed the PADD across to the smaller woman before her. "Thats the medical report on the Admiral. He's going to be alright... He came out of his coma two hours ago... Physically, he'll be fine... Mentally however..." Torilla paused. "Mentally.. he's fortunate he didn't get his mind fried." Torilla paused a moment. "He... is having issues coping with what he learned.... Nalla basically downloaded memories from herself to Jake... and from the other Torilla too..."

Azuresteel regarded her commanding officer and friend with a gentler compassionate eye, while she indicated the sofa. "You are in luck, I have time between appointments." she paused. "Tell me how you feel on the matter... don't hold anything back." as she regarded the larger woman who sat down on the sofa in a huff.

"Its all one big, honking mess.." Torilla sighed. "All because an Orion had to touch Nalla." she sighed softly. "Why can't they touch me?, I promised I would not bite."

"But you would." Azuresteel responded with a soft warm smile.

"Am I that undesirable?"

"This is not about you wanting sexual attention... this is about you distracting yourself from what happened to your husband... I can only imagine how that must feel for you... I don't know how I would feel if something happened to my wife, Heather.... Considering she was involved with that mutiny a month ago." Azuresteel explained. "Jake is facing a considerable trauma and I have no idea what that will be life... until I have had a chance to speak with him, feel him out and see what he's thinking about... in this case, I might have to go to him on the subject, in a location he prefers rather then have him come to me on the matter... I don't want him getting defensive."

Just then the door beeped. "Enter." Azuresteel commented, the door opened and in walked Rachael Haig. "Hello Counselor. Captain... you wanted me?"

Azuresteel simply indicated the sofa where Torilla was already seated. "Please, have a seat.."

"Alright." and with that Haig gently sat down next to Torilla. "Mmmm comfy.."

Azuresteel smiled at the two women who could not have looked more differently, she knew they had differences but also things in common. "Torilla... Would you mind reiterating the situation that's brought us together.?"

"Right.." Yamaguchi responded as she considered how best to do that, before she took a deep breathe. "Jake was involved with the pineapple incident last week and he was greatly affected by the incident. He's been left in a coma but he's supposed to be coming out of it pretty soon... So for now I'm going to have him moved over to the Courageous for his future care, not that I trust Roanoke or Tranquility's doctors, it just that I want him close by.." she explained.

"I will see to his various needs and wants, when they arise Captain, Do not be troubled by his problems." Haig responded with a smile. "Go on?"

"Jake was involved... He ended up mating with not one but two separate women at the time... one of which was my counterpart, my twin if you want.. from another reality who has become stranded in this one and... Lieutenant Commander Nalla Furban." she let out a soft sigh. "Jake became entangled in something the Deltan's call 'the Mind union or the Unification in which the two of them mentaly become one being for as long as they are having sex." Torilla explained the situation with a measure of tact.

Haig took in the information that was being shared with her and Azuresteel, before she realized that Torilla Yamaguchi was finished explaining the situation to both women. "Jake's physical issues with be easy, his mental ones are were the problems with this situation will lie." Haig sighed. "Saia. I'll leave the therapy to you alright."

"Well I appreciate that." Azuresteel smiled, her eyes glinted of mischief and trouble as she took a sip of her drink. "Well... Whenever Jake wakes up, we can tend to his various needs and issues together as we will need to approach this from three fronts... "

"Why does everything to you need to be a matter of warfare.?" Haig inquired. "I don't understand why you think like this.."

"Because life is a battle." Azuresteel responded. "Life is sometimes cruel and capricious." she explained. "the gods that some use to rule their lives are just an excuse for our own mistakes." she then shrugged. "I like the Klingon system, I fight my own battles for the spirit of my allies, same as you battle for your patients lives Doctor." Azuresteel explained her philosophy which to her was simple, it was also cut and dried. "Sometimes there is no shame in falling before a superior enemy ... if your Heart is Pure. Your actions forthright."

"But Jake was not in battle." Yamaguchi responded.

"Not of his own making, no but he was called to account." Azuresteel explained. "Jake will come through this gauntlet victorious, same as he has passed through so many others..." she explained. "I will assist him in the battle for his soul..."

"Anyone ever tell you that you look at it the way a Klingon would.?" Yamaguchi inquired.

"No... They tell me that a Klingon would simply kill him and toss his corpse out with the trash." she sighed. "pitiful really, the Klingons have come so far and yet they still have so much to learn as a species... Their feudal system is a case-"

"We are getting off of the subject." Haig commented. "We were discussing the Admiral... not the Klingon species."

"Were we?" Azuresteel responded, an easy smile on her face. "You interrupted me as I was making my point that all life is a battle, its just the conditions and the situations that have changed, Jake is at war with himself and I will guide him to victory, you two will assist me with this endeavor."

"I thought you were assisting me." Torilla responded, more supersized then annoyed.

"Captain, You are his spouse but I'm his therapist. You will be able to reach him on levels that I cannot, likewise I can reach him on levels that you cannot."

Haig took that moment to interrupt the two women who looked to be squaring off. "Ladies.. We can work together to get to Jake.." she said quietly.

Yamaguchi nodded her head slowly. "Yes.." she paused. "Alright.." as she let out a sigh.

"Torilla, between the three of us, we have everything that Jake needs all covered." Azuresteel responded with a smile. "Its gonna be okay."

"I wish I could believe that."

"Torilla." Azuresteel regarded her commanding officer. "Jake needs you more then ever before, he needs to know it'll be okay... Which means you need to believe it before he does... Because if he can't believe then this will be much harder then it should be." she let out a soft sigh. "It comes down to this Torilla... You are the one who must help and guide him back to where he was... Considering what memories he received from Commander Unal and Lt Commander Furban. I can only imagine what kind of a man this other version of Jake was.. considering what you have said. I am not confidant that he was a good man.."

Yamaguchi shook her head. "Considering what Lasarra shared with Rachael, her twin from this same universe.." she paused. "He is a vile beast of a man..." she admitted softly.

"Then it will take time.. and patience, a great deal of both but we will succeed with our Jake." Azuresteel smiled. "How is he now?"

"Last I checked, he was asleep." Haig responded with a soft smile. "My guys have orders to inform me instantly should that change so I'm expecting that call soonest here."

Yamaguchi nodded her head. "Alright." she sighed.
