Mission: Mission 49: The Stars Look Down
Location: Various Locations - Roanoke Battlegroup
Timeline: 1500Hrs - November 10th, 2391

Command Master Chief Stephen McKnight, better known as 'Orthos was presently saying goodbye to his wife, he smiled down at her as he gently held their son in his arms. "I've never liked saying goodbye." he sighed. "I'm tempted to stick in a request to replace your present Chief of the Boat with myself but then he'll be separated from his own wife... I can't do that to him."

Most of his things had already been sent to the Runabout he was taking to Watchman Station already, including Edwards stroller, all that was left to move over was himself and Edward but first, he wanted a moment with his wife.

Daisy's response had been simple but it had gotten the point across as Edward woke up before he quickly looked around. Orthos smiled as he regarded Daisy. "Don't worry about a thing, he'll be okay... once he settles down."

A few minutes later after they had said their goodbyes. Orthos took his leave and so off he went back to Watchman Station and life without his wife, whom he missed. He hated being parted from her but he knew she needed a break from raising their son alone and while Orthos had a great deal of raising children in terms of experience under his belt, he preferred to raise the child with his wife at his side.

Nevertheless he knew he would survive and endure this, same as he had endured everything else in his long life so he would miss his wife and look after things with their son. He smiled as he settled in to read the book that he had received from Julia, one of his older children who ironically enough was older then his young wife, all of his children were older then Daisy which Orthos knew she was somewhat intimidated by and she also wasn't used to it. He replicated a cup of iced Darjeeling tea which he sometimes drank. Daisy couldn't stand the stuff so he never drank it around her.

He sat down in the pilots chair as he lifted the massive tome he had received, he smiled as he regarded the simple but elegant script on the front of the tome. it read as "qeS'a'." in plain and simple Klingon script, underneath it was a simple trefoil symbol of the Klingon Empire.

He opened the cover of the massive tome in his hands as he began to read silently to himself.
