Mission: Mission 47: A Crack in the Mirror
Location: Starbase 24 - Alternate Universe
Timeline: 0800Hrs November 4th 2391

Admiral Jake Yamaguchi smiled darkly as he heard the door chime, it went off with a soft beeping sound. "What is it!" he called.

The door opened and in walked Commander Torilla Unal, wearing her regular duty uniform. "Commander Unal reporting for orders... sir." she hesitated on the 'sir' as she didn't like Jake as she felt that she had been treated unfairly by Jake over time as he refused to recognize their children as his.

"Yes... Have a seat... I have a special assignment for you." he explained as he handed her a PADD. "Our new wormhole technology has been tried and tested... it also works."

"I see... so... What does this mean for me?"

"It means that I am sending you to an alternate universe.. Your mission will be to seize new technology and new weapons designs to help us win the war."

"It there a way for me to come back...?" Torilla inquired.

"Of course... Or I wouldn't be sending you.. Your assets will include Noble Team... I don't have anyone to replace your losses however but... you shouldn't need a full strength team for this assignment."

"I see.." Torilla answered. "When do I leave?"

"Immediately. You'll have my leave to take whatever you need from the armory so I will leave this to however you wish to proceed.." he responded. "However... either you will succeed... or you won't come back.. Now.. on your way." Jake went back to his paperwork.

"You ever going to accept this children as yours?" Torilla inquired darkly. "They are yours... you know."

"No... I will never accept them as mine.. Not until I have what I want..." Jake looked are her balefully. "Now stop wasting my time and get out."

Torilla sighed. "Fine." and with that she turned and departed, PADD in hand. Her next stop was the armory and while she went, she tapped her combadge. "Unal to Noble Team, assemble in the armory."

The responses came quick.

Minutes later. After Torilla's arrival in the armory, she regarded the other members of Noble Team. "Selendis. Ouros, Lasarra. Toshnarr." she greeted her team. "We have new orders... No time off for us and no, no replacements for Zara."

Selendis sighed softly. "Thats a shame.. Lieutenant Tane was the best... I doubt anyone could measure up anyway."

"Zara would have liked this assignment.." Torilla agreed with a nod. "This is our assignment." she handed the PADD to Ouros first. "Read it.. then discuss it among yourselves... I'm going to see about our ship." and with that Torilla turned and walked away

Selendis read the PADD then she handed it to Toshnarr who quickly read it. "Is command nuts?"

"I thought that too." Ouros responded.

Lasarra simply shrugged her shoulders. "It doesn't matter." she responded. "Either well succeed or we'll never come home... Lets home that this alternate universe is a decent place to live.." as she smiled. "Look on the bright side.. what could be worse then what we have... We have no father..well we do but he's a pansy"

"I'd be careful how loud you say that Lieutenant... the walls have ears.." an older Marine commented from behind Torilla as he dropped off a decent sized package. "This is your computer equipment for your mission."

Selendis opened the package. "Alright.." as she began dishing out the gear contained within. "Alright.. lets go."

Toshnarr reached down and he picked up his pack, before he slung it over his shoulder before he went over to the weapons area. "Lead. what ship is ours?"

"That Delta Flyer over there." Torilla responded as she indicated a Runabout with a dozen techs swarming over it.

Toshnarr lifted an Isomagnetic disintegrater before he went over to the Runabout, the others in Noble team also quickly geared up and went over to the runabout.

A short time later the members of Noble Team were on the Runabout and their mission had begin. "Whiteout station... This is Noble Team." Torilla commented. "Proceed with opening the portal."

"Confirmed.

Torilla watched as a rather evil looking red rip seemed to appear and as the second went by, it got bigger and brighter as the light flashed, all the while the portal seemed to become more and more defined.

Lasarra was seated at the pilots seat as she watched the sensors before her. "Waiting for clearance... Whiteout?"

Torilla listened to the com chatter but suddenly there was a message that nobody expected. "Alert, incoming enemy attack. Divert power to weapons and shields.. Stand by Noble team.."

Torilla nodded. "Status of enemy attack?"

"Don't worry about it Noble strike,. proceed with your mission..." as Torilla watched the first flashes of weapons fire as the first explosions began blossoming in the area. "Proceed.... Go ahead Noble."

Lasarra nodded as she gently goosed her engines forward. The small Runabout raised her shields before she entered.

There was a booming sound as the Runabout was tossed around like an ancient storm tossed ship on an ocean when suddenly it ended.

"Status.?" Torilla asked.

"We're alright." Selendis responded. "We're still in busness..."

"Alright... begin scanning... find me the nearest Federation Starbase..?" Torilla ordered.

"Got it... a Federation base in the New Holland System.."

"New Holland?" Torilla responded. "That world is a ruined cinder" she added.

"Well... here its a quite the lush world. a right beauty." Ouros responded.

"Set a course and get us underway." Torilla responded.
