Mission:
Mission 42: A House Divided
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 0900Hrs - August 30th, 2391
Alurian Del walked up with another newcomer and opened to door to Ra'Vak's office, finding both Ra'Vak and Uldyssian Davis.
Ra'Vak looked up at Del and the newcomer, a foxlike shiar," Hey Alurian, who's your fox friend."
Alurian looked over at his companion, "This is Elivar Okolio, He is my replacement."
Ra'Vak gave off a sigh," So you are really leaving huh."
Del nodded," Yeah, I'm going to a quieter assignment on watchman station."
Davis regarded the smaller Betazoid with a measure of concern. "You not happy with us?" he inquired. "Which... I can't say I really blame you." he admitted.
"Well, I feel my time to retire is coming up soon," Del admitted," Ill be honest, this was a pretty decent assignment, well after Ra'Vak got here, before he came here it was pretty shitty. But really if it was just Roanoke, I would be going to another ship. But I feel taking the time to settle down on a space station will do me some good."
"Fair enough." Davis responded. "I won't talk you out of it then." he paused a moment. "When do you leave?"
In a couple days," Del Answered," I'll be here long enough to show Elivar around and then I'll be on my way."
"Fair enough." Davis responded. "Teach him well." he added a moment later.
Del nodded while Elivar added," So um what is roanoke like then."
Ra'Vak shrugged," Well im fine with it, as long as your hanging out with us, you will have fun."
Davis paused as he added. "You're not overly religious... are you?" he inquired. "Oh good.. Around here... We have something of our own religion..." he slowly smiled. "and I am the Messiah!"
Elivar's ears went up in curiosity," O.K., well very few Shiar are religious anymore, the vast majority of us have given up on those superstitions."
Davis nodded. "Well... In this engine room. I am the pope and this.... is my altar." he indicated the central hub. "This is my church.." he indicated Engineering. "Besides.. It keeps people on the straight and narrow... in here... I'm happy."
Elivar nodded but didn't say much else.
Meanwhile, elsewhere on the ship, Norsvin Korr had his bags packed and ready to go. Torenna Cel looked at him, "Well Korr, It was nice serving with you."
"Likewise". Korr added, when another individual walked in.
Ruko Pakai was a foxlike Ferix Zukzi. She was a little taller than a Kurokuri, and originated from the same galaxy, having come here on the transport that brough several thousand from their galaxy.
Korr looked at Ruk, "Ah my replacement is here."
Borodin nodded his head. "Indeed, I am." he responded. "We there yet?" he inquired.
Korr looked over at Borodin," Not you, you blockhead, no the furry girl over there is the one replacing me."
Ruko looked rather puzzled, not used to hearing this out of most starfleet officers.
"Blockhead.." Borodin commented. "You hear how he speaks to me?" he asked Ruko. "How dare you talk to me like that... Do you not know who I am?" Borodin inquired. "I am Borodin. First of his name, ruler of the known universe."
Korr shook his head, and pointing at Borodin he said to Ruko, "Don't worry about this guy, he is completely stir crazy. Not a scrap of sanity in him."
Ruko didn't buy it, but just said, "Okay, sure."
Borodin pointed to his own face. "Do I look sane to you?" as he suddenly smiled in a rather twisted fashion. "All joking aside... Its been a privilege."
Korr nodded, picked up his bag, saying, "well, I'm off, see yall later." Korr then walked out the door and was very soon off the Roanoke.
Ruko rolled her eyes, thinking, "What did I get myself into."
Aurai Siaki was a little taller than a Kurokuri, and in appearance he looked somewhat similar to an Akurian. However his fur was a subdued green, and he had both feline and foxlike features. Unlike Kurokuri he actually did wear clothing, as he walked onto Roanoke's bridge, Having just been assigned as Chief Conn officer. He looked around for the highest ranked Person, whom happened to be Tom Lasky and asked, "Sir, Is the captain of this ship around."
Lasky raised an eyebrow as he rose to his feet. "The skipper is in the ready room... Probably doing paperwork or he's taking a nap..." he smiled. "Want me to let him know you're here?" he inquired.
Aurai nodded, "Yes that would be helpful."
Lasky taped his combadge. "Lasky to Teval. you have a guest... You in the ready room?" he inquired.
It took a moment before Teval responded in a groggy voice," Yeah, I'm in the ready room, whats up."
"Normally I wouldn't bother you but you have a visitor." Lasky responded before he looked at Aurai. "He'll see you in a moment. The ready room is right over there." he indicated the door next to turbolift one near the front left of the bridge.
Aurai walked over to the Ready room, and found that the door was already open. What he saw next, wasn't what he expected. Two being's, even smaller than himself, where sitting on the couch behind the desk. He didn't Recognize their species but they where both small, furry and didn't wear any clothing at all. Somewhat Nervous Aurai commented," Um, Sir, I'm Lt. Aurai Siaki, I'm assigned here as chief conn officer."
Teval, still somewhat groggy from his nap, and Hakaya still asleep leaning on him, replied, "You can drop the sir, we don't particularly care for formality on this ship."
Aurai nodded, not sure of what else to say, when Teval added," Well, this is Roanoke, though we aren't as much of the ship of the damned as we used to be. However we aren't too strict about rules and regulations on this ship, most of us are the informal type. Though one piece of advice here, or CMO, Nalla Furban, don't touch her."
Aurai now looked curious," why not."
"Well," Teval explained," She is a deltan-Betazoid Hybrid, and she doesn't have much control over her abilities, if you touch her, you will either have the sex drive from hell, or be numbed for hours. Though granted, you are furry, so the fur does help a little bit, but even so, best not to push your look."
Aurai looked nervous again and nodded, "Um, yeah got it." There was now no way in hell he even wanted to go near her.
Lasky regarded the new arrival. "Well we don't expect to leave the dock for the next little while so feel free to get to know the ship and her... unusual and unconventional crew.." he then smiled. "Do watch the ladies in sickbay though.. they are... Odd.."
Aurai Nodded," Yes I Have been warned about the CMO."
"Fair enough. The rest of the crew aren't bad." Lasky explained. "We just have a bad reputation because of this ships history and previous crews." he smiled. "Don't mind it... We're a hard luck group but we manage... Take the rest of the day off and get to know the ship... we're in dock so you don't need to worry too much about reporting for work on time... we're not going anywhere."
aurai nodded, then left the room without saying anything else.
