Where We Came From

Mission: Mission 40: Thirty Pieces of Silver
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 0900Hrs - August 8th, 2391

Ryuukei walked into the Green Dragon with Teval, Hakaya, Karryn, Seykai, and Arumi. Picking a quiet corner to sit down, Ryuukei asked," So you don't really remember anything huh."

Teval shook his head," Not nuch, though since i was reconnected with Kima, I have had fegments of my memory return, but not much."

Ryuukei sighed," damn, that must have been a pretty bad crash huh."

Teval nodded when Karryn commented," Well Ryuukei, we have told yuo our stories, so what of yours, how did you end up here."

Ryuukei sat back in his seat," Well, as I said, we where on the fighter force Transport shuttle behind you guys. We didn't get thrown very far though, and neither did our escort drones. So yeah we where able to scan the anomaly, or rather what was left of it after our vessels passed through. After taking some readings on the wormhole, and sending one of our drones back through and then recovering it, we where about to say screw it and go back anyway, when the damn wormhole jumped on us."

Karryn sighed, "Great, a mover, wonderful."

Ryuukei nodded," yep. Unfortunately our drones where starting to run low on fuel, and we didn't have a lot of food supplies on board, so we had to land at the nearest habitable planet. The Inhabitants where on the isolationist side, but they agreed to help, they where some Vorm like species."

"Vorm like species?," Hakaya inquired.

Ryuukei nodded," Yeah, i think they called themselves Wugarish, or Wolgarish, or something like that."

Torilla and Siaxx who both were present turned their heads as Siaxx let out a strangled gasp of surprise. "Wulgarish." Siaxx said across to Ryuukei. "You met Greywolf's people.... are they alive...are they well?" she asked in Greywolf's native tongue which sounded like a cross between growls and barks.

Torilla blinked in raw surprise. "Siaxx... what did you just say?"

Ryuukei looked at her in utter confusion as his universal translator completely butchered the language, "Um, ok, Uh, didn't understand a word you said, Sorry I'm wearing a federation translator, not the Akurian one I had at the time."

Siaxx, paused in her excitement she had blushed a deep shade of blue as she wanted results right now. "You ran into Greywolfs people... are they alive... are they well.?" she inquired, in English this time.

Ryuukei blinked and gave the curious feline look, "um, yeah, last I saw they where fine from what I was able to tell, though that was 59 years ago. We didn't exactly stay in touch. 2800 lightyears is a long distance to travel in a fighter force shuttle. Who is Greywolf by the way."

"Greywolf was... my friend." Siaxx paused. "I swore I would bring him and his mate's bodies home... and I mean to see it done." she explained. "Thus far... I've asked ships, bases and colonies to keep their eyes open and ears peeled for signs of his species... and now you come in here and bring me hope.."

Ryuukei shrugged, "It was almost 60 years ago though, plus it did look like they where about to leave the place. That and the distance, I'm not so sure the federation is too enthusiastic about sending a ship on a years long journey for this."

Siaxx twitched as Torilla gently reached across the table. "Siaxx... take a deep breathe.." she said gently.

"Torilla. I swore to see my quest done.... and people keep throwing roadblocks in my way..." as Torilla nodded. "I know... but we will find them..." she paused. "If I get my command..." there was a healthy dose of anger in her comment. "I'm going to stick in for that mission and you... will come with me."

Ryuukei looked even more puzzled, while Arumi added," Wait, the distance might be long for a federation ship, but what about the battlecruiser." She then looked at Seykai," You where relatively uninjured when you guys abandoned ship, do you remember the condition."

Seykai answered thoughtfully," Well, Ryazar's shield was pretty much intact when we set her down. we set her down on a real low gravity interstellar planet, it was only about 500 km, in diameter, enough to keep her in place, but not too much gravity that the ship would be damaged. Most of the damage is pretty superficial, she could be made spaceworthy pretty quickly, but we don't have a crew."

Karryn shook her head, "No, we do have a crew, Ryuukai and his siblings are trained to operate those ships, hell their family designed the ship, and we have the Akurian colony on Vega, with a little work, we can make her fly again, we now have enough AI's between us to really pull a coordinated repair effort."

Ryuukei nodded," And the ship can make the distance in only a few days."

Teval shrugged, "Well, I've got plenty of leave time saved up, was planning it for next month."

Torilla and Siaxx shared a look. "I'd like to come with you." the small Bolian commented quietly. "I have items that must go home."

Ok." Ryuukei replied," Just keep in mind, it probably wont be for another month yet that this will happen."

Siaxx was itching to get rolling, her body language screamed it. "Siaxx... relax... we're closer now then we were ten minutes ago..."

"Yeah..... alright." as she went back to her food.

Torilla raised an eyebrow. "Look on the bright side... at least you won't need to worry about failures paying you."

Teval picked up his drink and took a long swing. Setting down his drink, he was grateful that the brace on his right hand had come off earlier in the day, so he had at least one usable hand now.
