Mission: Mission 37: The Troubles and Tribbles
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 0900Hrs - July 18th, 2391

Commander Torilla Yamaguchi sighed softly as she sat down in the chair as she sat back. "Ladies... how the fuck do we tell Rachael what happened to Saki...?"

"I dunno," Phoenix spoke with concern.

"I feel like this was my fault," Gyce admitted with teary eyes. "I got so caught up with Iteela's mess that I failed to see what was wrong with her."

Torilla sighed softly. "She won't come out of her room... and she's been disappearing a lot recently.. " she sighed softy as she tried not to cry. "I failed her... I failed my daughter... I failed my granddaughter."

"Rachael wanted me to act as her parental proxy, but my answer is not the right one," Gyce spoke with a frustrated rake through her hair. "She needs stability, and hopping around from one person to the next doesn't give her that."

"Rachael knew that Saki would have issues.. we didn't expect the issues getting so stupidly out of hand." Torilla responded.

Meanwhile in the bedroom, Saki finished dressing in black clothing before she opened the bedroom door in silence, she then moved to the jeffress tube opening. She was able to pull the covering off, and slipped in and then she pulled the cover back on, like she was never there.

Just then the doorbell rang, Torilla answered. "Teval...Karryn, come in.."

Teval came in with Karryn behind them, and pufftail greeted Teval, whom picked up the little guy and petted him. Teval then walked over to Torilla's group, with a purring pufftail in his arms and sat down.

Torilla regarded her small cat. "How is he behaving?" as the cat greeted her with a loud meow as she gently petted her cat. "Come on in... make yourself at home.... my house has been empty and... its bothering me."

Teval asked curiously, "so whom is going to take care of all your cats while this life support disaster is taken care off."

"Mmm... Seleste and Gabriel are looking after Carter, Kat and Emile." she paused. "Elizabeth got Jun and Jake went over to Dreamcrusher, he took the twins and Saki with him, he also took Siaxx and Jorge with him." she explained. "I still have Silversides though." she responded. "You guys got Pufftail."

Teval nodded, as he continued to pet the purring Pufftail, then Karryn said, "Ok. so what did you bring us in here for."

"What are we gonna do with Saki...?" Torilla inquired. "I wanted to know if you guys had any thoughts or ideas..."

"I got tha feelin' she aint never been disciplined," Phoenix fielded. "She has ta understand bein' psychotic aint cool."

"Tormenting the cat with a tribble.... yeah. That's not acceptable."

"It's not just that," Gyce pointed out. "She can't turn the darker part of herself off, once she gets into flight or fight mode... She was raised way too young with a Kill or be killed state-of-mind. And that became transparent when she got in the fight at school, to protect her friends."

Teval facepalmed, annoyed, "Shit, I wish we had caught that sooner when we were down on the planet, but we were so concerned about parenting our own kids that we didn't pay attention much to how Rachael was raising Saki."

"Rachael was inexperienced... a child herself in many ways.." Torilla sighed. "I shouldn't have let her go on that trip...." she paused. "but whats done... is done.. how do we go about helping Saki.."

"I thought spending time with her, doing activities would open her up to talk," Gyce spoke, near brokenheartedly. "...Clearly my degrees are no match to parenthood. For I missed something."

"We all did the best we could.... but you got sidetracked with the drugs issues and the Tienn mess.." Torilla responded quietly. "Saki needs her mother.... and she's heading for Warrant school for another three months... Shit.."

Karryn just slid down on her chair, "We have all been sidetracked by numerous issues."

"I thought I could be that stability. Rachael clearly thought so as well," Gyce remarked gloomily.

"At least you aint tha one that disciplined her... Kid fears me now," Phoenix noted with irritated, red eyes.

Torilla regarded the other woman. "I heard.. Saki mentioned it to me."

"What was I supposed to do?" Phoenix spoke guardedly. "She didn' wanna listen ta reason at all. She kept torturin' the cute balls."

"Don't worry about it." Torilla responded. "I'm not a big fan of tribbles either.. you did what had to be done. Hell even Saki said she was out of line.."

"Would Rache accept Saki goin' to counseling?" Gyce asked more to Torilla.

"She would." Torilla answered softly.

"Maybe we should see if the new counselor will take her on?" Gyce asked to the room.

"Well we can try... lord knows she was able to help me..." Torilla explained as the door beeped at them, Torilla went to answer it as she found herself face to face with Wukari. "Come on in."

Wukari was already holding Brightspot, saying, "Well, I'm here to pick up Pufftail and Silversides, since all the pets have to go over to the other ships. They already get along with Brightspot."

Torilla nodded. "Okay." she responded as she led Wukari over to where Silversides was lying on the sofa with her son curled up nearby. "You gonna be okay carrying both at once?" she inquired.

Aerin came up behind Wukari saying, "Don't worry, Ill help out with that."

Teval, whom was still holding Pufftail, commented, "Well, I'm going to get going myself, I don't think I'll be of much help regarding Saki anyway."

Torilla nodded. "Fair enough... keep an eye on them for me... Brightspot has a bad habit of letting himself out of his quarters.." as she smiled. "he might escape."

Wukair nodded as Aerin took Silversides, and the three of them left for Dreamcrusher.

Torilla watched in silence as a sigh escaped her lips. "Alright... girls.. ideas.. how do we break the news to Rachael.?"

"I don't know," Gyce shrugged. "But we can't let Rachael think she's a bad parent for this outcome."

"Agreed." Torilla responded. "Rachael needs to get her education sorted out... we need to give her the time to do that... so... ideas on what to do with Saki.?"

"Spankin' her might just make thin's worse," Phoenix fielded.

Torilla regarded Phoenix. "I didn't think that was ever going to work.." she responded before she plucked her glass from the table, she then took a mouthful, before she shrugged and polished the drink off.
"Wait... isn't Rachael supposed to be dating someone in the batlegroup?" Torilla inquired. "En'hes or... something like that.... " she sighed. "Thanks Rachael... now I feel like a complete moron." she muttered but everyone nearby heard her.

"Doctor Ennis Cullen," Gyce fielded. "Saki is best friends with his daughter."

"Right.." Torilla responded. "Do we really want to bring him into this?" the tall woman inquired.

"I think we're all neglectin' to see who Saki wants ta be with," Phoenix pointed out gently.

Torilla raised an eyebrow. "We've all been stupidly busy recently." she sighed. "Poor Saki paid for it." she rose to her feet as she went over to Saki's door before she knocked on it. She frowned as she tried again and the same result.

Torilla then opened the door to find an empty room with a made bed. "Well... this is new." she paused. "Saki is missing..." Torilla turned her head as she regarded the cover to the jefferies tube. "I wonder... I wonder." she sighed softly. "and she didn't even tell us she was leaving."

Torilla let out a soft sigh, it was suddenly clear that she had given up.

"We need ta find her," Phoenix spoke with great worry.

Torilla raised an eyebrow. "Computer... locate Saki Yamaguchi...?"

"Saki Yamaguchi is not aboard the ship.." the computer responded as Torilla hissed angrily. "I know that you over blown slag heap... she's not in the system." as Torilla quivered ever so slightly with rage. "Yamaguchi to Admiral Yamaguchi... Jake, Saki's gone missing. Would you mind terribly?"

Jake's voice came back. "Copy. I'm on it. Yamaguchi out."
