Tribbles and Kitties

Mission: Mission 37: The Troubles and Tribbles
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1900Hrs - July 17, 2391

Wukari walked into her quarters, and set Brightspot down on the table. She then went into the kitchen and refilled Brightspot's food bowl, whom promptly came over and got his fill. Wukari, rather tired herself, went to go take a nap, and after finishing his meal, Brightspot, whom was bored, wandered over to the door, and jumped, trying to hit the door pad. On his third attempt, he succeeded in opening the door and trotted down the hallway.

Making it over to Torilla's door, and smelling his sibling Pufftail, he started to paw at the door. Not getting anywhere, he then went over to the door control's, and in one jump, managed to open the door, and he promptly ran in before the door closed. Upon seeing Pufftail, he gave a small meow.

Pufftail raised his head, spotting a cat he didn't instantly recognize, he blinked his eyes as he got up and moved over to the stranger, meowing softly.

Silversides meanwhile lifted her head as she greeted her lost child with a loud plaintive meow.

Torilla meanwhile was asleep in the bed, she snored ever so softly as Pufftail began chasing his errant sibling around the room, under the bed and then they left over and onto the bed, around Torilla and over her.

Torilla coughed as a second cat ran over her.

After letting pufftail chase him for a bit and when the two where on the bed by Torilla's feet, Brightspot then turned around and began to play wrestle with Pufftail.

Torilla blinked as she slowly woke up. "Mmm... not now... kitty... mommy needs... her sleep..Oooh." as she felt one followed by two cats run over her.

Brightspot briefly stopped wrestling with Pufftail and looked up at Torilla, and cooed at her.

Torilla blinked her eyes open as she regarded the cats. "I need sleep you guys.." she raised an eyebrow. "Wait... who are you?" she regarded the new arrival. "I think.... wait... Rachael mentioned something about a lost sibling.. so... who owns you?"

Brightspot briefly batted at Pufftails tail, and gave a cooing meow at Torilla.

Torilla gently petted the new arrival. "Who are you?" she whispered softly.

Brightspot cooed again, then started to wrestle with Pufftail again.

Pufftail was having none of it as he began to wrestle with his brother.

Torilla sighed softly as she one of them move against her. "Mmm... kitty." she sighed.

Brightspot continued to wrestle until the two of them bumped into Torilla's side, causing the two to separate. Brightspot went to the high ground and moved up on top of Torilla's stomach.

Torilla raised an eyebrow as she watched the two interact, it was then she wondered. "So... who owns you little guy?" she inquired. "someone out there is missing you.." she paused. "you don't look emaciated or unkempt... I wonder if they'll mind if I kept you?"

Brightspot looked over at Torilla and cooed at her again when the door chime went off.

Torilla moaned softly as she slipped herself out of the bed, before pulling on a dressing gown, then she went to answer the door. "Hello?" she inquired of her visitor.

The door opened and Wukari walked in, worried," I'm looking for my brightspot, I detected his scent coming here."

"He's in my bedroom, hanging out with his sibling.." Torilla responded. "the two are presently wrestling." she yawned. "Mmm.. sorry."

Brightspot came out of the bedroom and ran over to Wukari, whom promptly picked him up and cuddled him," Oh Brightspot, I forgive you, You just wanted to see your brother."

Pufftail chased Brightspot to his owner. Pufftail looked up at her as he wailed loudly.

Wukari kneeled down and releasing Brightspot, she then petted Pufftail as well, saying, "He looks a lot like his brother."

Pufftail purred at her. "Meow"

Torilla smiled. "Rachael mentioned that Pufftail had a sibling.. at least he found him."

Wukari shrugged," Well, when I first saw brightspot, he did his little coo at me, and I just fell in love with him."

Torilla grinned at the foxlike woman before her. "Sounds like this little guys first meeting with me." as she reached down before she picked up the small cat. "this guy adopted me..." she smiled.

Wukari was about to say something but then he heard a faint banging sound that sounded very unusual to her, "what was that."

Torilla shrugged. "What was what?" she inquired. "I can't hear anything.."

Meanwhile, Kashi came out of one of the life support systems saying, "shit, shit, SHIT...." He immediately grabbed a fire extinguisher and attempted to put out a raging fire on one of the life support systems.

Uldyssian Davis turned his head. "Whats going on?"

Kashi had little time to explain," I need help, The life support system is on fire."

Uldyssian eyes opened wide. "SHIT!. I need a damage control party right Fucking NOW!" he screamed at the top of his lungs. "Emergency!!"

Kiy, Ra'Vak, Alyssa, and Alurian del immediately dropped what they where doing, grabbed extinguishers and immediately went to attempt to put out the fire. Ra'Vak cut the power to the system, while Kashi Kiya Alyssa and Del went to battle. It didnt take them long to put out the fire. But when Ra'Vak looked at the completely ruined life support system, the only word that came out of his mouth was, "Fuck"

Uldyssian Davis sighed. "How bad is it?"

Ra'vak took out his tricorder to inspect the damage, then after several minutes of inspecting the wreckage that was a life support system, he said," Uh, shit, this while thing is a write off, we need to replace the whole thing."

"We need a dockyard for that!" Uldyssian responded unhappily. "Give me the rest of the bad news..."

Ra'Vak tapped his combadge," Ra'Vak to Zara, Torilla and Teval, can you three come down here please."

Torilla's eyes flicked open as she moaned. "Oh fuck me.." she whimpered as Jake poked his head into the bedroom as Pufftail complained as Torilla slowly sat up, before she reached for the combadge on her nightstand. "Ra'Vak, if this is anything other then good news..." she moaned softly. "I'm not coming down there... besides... I'm busy... with my husband." she moaned softly. "What is it?"

Ra'Vak commented, "Well, its news, oh and since he is there, the admiral might as well come too."

Torilla blinked as she sighed. "Give me ten minutes... so I can have a shower and clean off." she sighed. "Yamaguchi out."

"Whats going on?" Jake responded.

"God knows... knowing Ra'Vak.. it'll be the star in the system is collapsing and the warp drive is down or the universe is experiencing its heat death... fuck knows.." she sighed softly.

"Alright.. come on then." as he watched his wife haul herself out of bed. "You do have a nice figure."

"Now who's teasing." Torilla responded as she peeled off her nightdress and went into the bathroom, totally nude before she closed the door behind her.

Jake smiled. "You... are a tease Torilla." and with that, he went back into the main area where Saki was playing with the twins.

A few minutes later, Torilla, now wearing her regular uniform which consisted of the Officers vest with the skirt and boots, came out into the main area as she sighed. "I'm in demand it seems."

"Whats wrong, Grandma Torilla?" Saki inquired.

"Ra'Vak... doesn't let me sleep... I'm going to...no need to worry dearest... I'll be back soon." and with that off Torilla went into the corridor, off to Engineering.

She reached her destination about five minutes later, the first thing she spotted was Uldyssian Davis and he looked disgruntled. "Skipper. We got a very serious problem."

"Whats the problem."

"Ra'Vak, The Exec is here. Brief her would ya?"

Teval came in as well, and was about to say something but then he noticed the smoking wreck that was the life support system, prompting him to say," So, this means we're screwed right."

"Fucking hell..." Zara sighed irritably as she came into the room with a tall glass of water in hand. "I need... water."

Ra'Vak just explained anyway, " Yeah, tribbles got into one of the main life support systems and caught it on fire. Whole thing is a complete write off. One of the others overloaded and shut down a couple of hours ago, so right now we are running at 50% capacity, or rather less, since the last two main ones aren't really running at 100%. Yeah, we are screwed all right."

Torilla blinked. "Wait... say that to me again slowly.... tribbles?"

Ra'Vak clearly frustrated, replied," Yes tribbles got in the fuckin life support system and caught it on fire."

Torilla sighed. "Oh fuck... so... what are our options.."

Teval replied flatly," Space all the tribbles."

Ra'Vak sighed heavily," I wish, but first thing is first, We need to evacuate all non essential personell from the ship, all the civilians, anyone whom is on leave, anyone whom is not able to perform full duties, all the marines, anyone in the brig, and all the pets. Also I need to shut down the life support system in some areas of the ship, so a lot of people are going to need to move out of their quarters and bunk up with other people."

Teval looked up at the ceiling," Lovely, is there anything else that can go wrong with the ship.

Ra'Vak just leaned on a wall when suddenly, the vent above his head collapsed and hundreds of tribbles began pouring out.

Torilla's eyes widened. "Woah.!" she gasped. "Oh wow.." she regarded Ra'Vak. "How many tribbles do we have on this ship...?" she inquired. "I don't care if it takes every man we have, I want them off the ship.."

Ra"Vak just didnt even bother to move as the tribbles began to pile up. Teval just watched in amazement as truibbles continued to pour out of the vent for at least a good minute, until the point where Ra'Vak was buried up to his shoulders in tribbles.

Alyssa shook her head saying, "Ra'Vak, I know this situation is incredibly bad, but mind if I take a picture of this."

Ra'Vak shrugged, having completely given up" Go right ahead."

Torilla turned. "Do we still have transporters?" she commented.

While Alyssa Mckinley snapped a picture, Ra'Vak replied, "Providing they don't cause the transporters to explode in the process."

"Alright... Lets get this done." Torilla fumed, if one looked carefully enough, they could see the steam coming out of her ears before she turned to Zara. "Give me that." and with that she took the glass from the smaller woman and downed the entire glass.

"Oh god.... water..!"

Teval sighed, then said, "Well we might as well start moving non essential personnel over to Dreamcrusher."

"Wounded should go to Tranquility as well," Zara agreed.
