Mission: Mission 36: The Crusade Against the Infidels
Location: Various Locations - USS Dreamcrusher
Timeline: 1800Hrs - June 30th, 2391

Chief Petty Officer Horus Mavek placed the two dishes before the two women who looked almost alike, even Mavek had to be careful lest he get them confused. "Ladies."

"Let me do that.."

"If Marie heard I let the host wait on me, she'd throw me out of the house, besides... I have my standards."

"You don't need to prove yourself to me." Celeste responded quietly. "You did that long ago, when you married her..." she indicated her twin. "Besides.. I live here and you don't."

The other adults all present were all watching this exchange between the Cardassian male and the Human female, Ulani snickered. "You're not gonna win Aunt Celeste.." she had just changed into civilian clothing rather then wear her cadets uniform to dinner.

"Nope." Olympia agreed with her sibling. "But you both can do it together." the other woman smiled.

"That works..." Celeste responded with a smile as she rose to her feet and followed Mavek into the kitchen, Olympia turned to her cousin Pava whom she thought looked a little strange with her blue skin and her antennae. "How are you doing these days Pava?."

"I could complain Olympia but there would be little point and I do not feel the need." the Andorian answered with a smile. "I bet things get interesting for you at the academy?" The Andorian Shen answered with a smile.

"Oh yes," Olympia answered with a smile. "Many seem to think I'm a Cardassian from Cardassia or one of the Hub colonies, they find it amusing when they find out my mother is human... I think its amusing more than anything else."

Gevila meanwhile popped a french dry into her mouth. "Mmmm... these are good, how come we never get fries mom.?"

"Because I didn't think you guys would like them... you've never shown interest in human food until now." Marie responded. "but alright... Terran food coming up."

Celeste came around the corner, two large bowls in hand, one had pasta sauce in it and the other had a rather ample amount of spaghetti in it. "Alright guys... dig in!" Celeste smiled.

Marie watched as her children all began digging into the food that had been placed before them as Horus regarded Celeste. "Does anyone else in your family even tolerate Cardassians.?"

Celeste raised an eyebrow as she caught the comment 'your family.' rather then 'our family.'.

"Well considering most of my family's Dominion War service records... I would say some do while others don't."

Mavek sighed softly. "Seems I can never get away from that."

"Do not trouble yourself about it Mavek." Celeste responded. "Not all Cardassian's are like... same as everyone else..." Celeste commented.

"You ever go home...?" Pava inquired.

"I am home... or rather the Stalingrad is home..." Mavek answered. "My family is in this room and my loyalty is to them. Kin come first... Then its the Federation, then whoever else.." he added as he indicated his spouse. "In Marie I trust, all others pay cash."

Marie smiled. "Fair enough... Now lets eat.."
