Mission: Mission 100: I'm Going to Ruin Somebody's Day
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard / Utgarde IV
Timeline: 1300Hrs - July 12th, 2393

Staff Master Chief Stephen McKnight who was otherwise known as Orthos, he had no idea of what to say to anyone or what to think, after what just took place, with Daisy coming into his office, demanding a divorce and shouting at him in Klingon about various things. Now he had come home to pack out his things so he could move onto the base. OIf Daisy was serious about leaving then he would give her the space to figure things out for herself.

He found his home unchanged before he let himself in, he heard nothing out of the ordinary other than the kitten who was curled up in Edwards chair, sound asleep, Orthos ignored the kitten as he went upstairs before moving down to the end of the hallway where the master bedroom was located. He opened the door and found Daisy stretched out across the bed, clearly, she was exhausted. "What are you doing here?" Orthos inquired in a rather hostile tone of voice. "I thought you were still on the Starbase.." he paused. "I'm just here to pick up a few things like the divorce papers then I'll get outta here."

"I haven't been to the Star Base today. I was on the weapons range. Mercy, my battalion needs to improve their marksmanship." Daisy said with some frustration. "What kind of papers are you signing?" She asked, a bit confused.

Orthos regarded her. "You came to the starbase and served me divorce papers, I wanted the PADD so I could review them," he explained. "You seem to have forgotten what you said to me... Less then an hour ago." as he gave her a look that expressed sadness and frustration.

Daisy sat up. "I'm sure I would have remembered a visit to the station. I certainly would have remembered serving your divorce papers. I did neither."

Orthos regarded her in silence for a moment. "Daisy, you were just on the station not even an hour ago, demanding a divorce, citing something about me being a deadbeat dad," he explained evenly. "So where's the PADD?"

"There is no PADD," Daisy told Orthos. "And I've never accused you of being a deadbeat dad. I really would have remembered that."

Orthos sighed. "I need to sit down," he responded before he sat down on the bed. "I was not imagining it," he commented. "I was in my office. You came in wearing your uniform and started shouting at me," he explained. "I can show you... if you want. With a mind meld... I know we've never tried it... But thanks to mom, I have the ability."

"I'm not sure if I want to do that," Daisy admitted.

"You've been leery about it before." he paused. "But you should see the memory for yourself. Then you can decide and I will also know without question what's going on."

"Does this mean that much to you? Isn't my word enough?" Daisy asked.

Orthos held his silence for a moment. "Daisy, look at this from my point of view. You came into my office screaming and yelling about how I'm a deadbeat dad and you wanted a divorce. Then I consider it, I came here to pack a bag so I could give you time to figure things out." he commented. "Then I find you here. and you deny anything," he regarded his wife. "It wasn't your twin. She's up on the Starbase and had over two hundred witnesses as she was counting missiles on the Starbases ordinance stockpiles," he explained. "So I am not sure of what to think."

Daisy sighed as she had a look of despair on her face. "I'm really don't like this. If this is the proof you need I'll allow it but I'm not happy."

Orthos regarded her as he held his silence. "I'm not happy either. You've never been comfortable with the idea. I will be quick." as he sat down on the bed next to her, before he gently lowered his hand onto her face, seeking out her katra points, his eyes slid closed. "my mind to your mind... our minds are merging... we are now one.."

Orthos opened his eyes as he relived his wife's entire memories all in the blink of an eye, he could see she was telling the truth, that she had never been to the starbase and she was innocent of all of this, while he was sharing the events in question with her. "So... it was not you... Then what the hell did I witness?" he asked rhetorically.

Daisy's eyes shot open quickly. She sat in silence for a moment and looked like she may be in shock. "What the hell was that?" she finally asked.

Slowly, she stood up. "You've had an interesting life." She told her husband. "And while I know that was me, I understood nothing she was saying."

"I understood it all though." Orthos paused. "Yet I can't speak Klingon that well either." as he regarded his wife. "I somehow knew what she was saying to me.." he sighed. "I'm at a loss but you see why I assumed it was you."

"There is nothing wrong with my Klingon. I can speak it just fine." Daisy tried to correct Orthos, even though Daisy barely understood the language.

Orthos regarded her for a moment. "Daisy. You've never spent any serious time around any other Klingons, you have nobody to chat with." as he looked up at her. "SoHvaD Qu'?" which meant 'do you?' phrased as a question.

Daisy laughed at Orthos. "You just asked me if I wanted a pickle. Your so cute when you try to speak Klingon."

Orthos did not laugh or smile. "I didn't ask that," he responded quietly. "Daisy DaH ghoS. rusty 'ej qeq nIS. SoHvaD ghojmoH" he commented with a smile. "Come now, Daisy. You are rusty and need practice. I shall teach you." he said in Klingon.

"You're trying to change the subject." Daisy retorted. "You claimed that I tried to get you to sign a divorce and now you know is not true."

"No. That's not what I said at all." he commented. "I said you were rusty and needed practice at speaking the language. I will teach you." he raised an eyebrow. "And you're getting defensive." as he suddenly grinned at her, the kind that said the battle was already won. "pong SoH tInwI' thunder, DaH qab whirlwind vaj SoH lightning lIgh vImojchoHmoH!" he growled loudly at her.

"You can stop your Klingon sweet talk. Flowers and candy won't save you. You're not even getting your pronunciation right" Daisy replied coolly. "Are you trying to goad me into a fight? If you are you're doing a good job. You accuse me of throwing you out of the house and demanding a divorce. Now you're trying to convince me I cannot speak Klingon."

Orthos was not amused and wasn't having it either. "Well, Daisy. Can you speak Klingon.?" he inquired. "I had a feeling I'd need to learn considering your family is all Klingon and so far you have not gotten one thing I said so far jawwI'," he commented evenly. "As I said, look at it from my point of view, what would you have me believe?"

Daisy thought for a moment. "I dunno. Your story doesn't make any sense and yet you think it is true. I don't know how to explain it. To make it worse, I want to help you but I can't. It's frustrating."

Orthos regarded his wife in silence. "Daisy. I don't what to tell you. I saw a version of you come into my office screaming in Klingon, demanding a divorce and then you were gone."

"Could someone have used a hologram?" Daisy asked. "I know it sounds far fetched but that's the only thing I can think of."

"perhaps. I don't know."

"I think we should report this to security," Daisy suggested. "Maybe they can find out more."

Orthos was not sure of what else to say or do. "Sure, we can report this. See what they tell us."

"Good. I don't know what happened but I think we should find out." Daisy told him as she tried to contact the station.

"This is Major Rohr to Taurus Reach Security. I have a concern."

A female voice came back. "This is Starbase Vanguard's security desk. go ahead Major?"

"Hello, this may sound odd but my husband, Master Chief McKnight, had something happen to him earlier today on this station. To briefly explain, he saw a version of me start a fight with him and then leave. Has anything odd happen on the station today?" Daisy asked.

There was a soft pause. "You are not alone in this situation Major. I have over twelve thousand reports of events along the lines you just described, we do not know what caused the situation to arise."

"Thank you, you have been very helpful. Rohr out." Daisy disconnected. She then turned to Orthos. "That should make you feel better."

Orthos raised an eyebrow. "Not really," he answered. "Now I'm confronted with new questions." he narrowed his eyes, it was clear that he was angry. "This had to have been deliberate... But to affect a chunk of the starbase... or maybe the whole base... Would take a very formidable telepath... But I didn't feel a psionic wave.. this was not like the last pineapple incident on Starbase 12." he looked past his wife, as he stared out the window. "I have more questions than ever." before he speared his wife with a rather evil glare. "But when I find out who did it, i'll tear out their eyeballs and feed them to their siblings.."

"I never knew you could feel psychic waves. Why don't you go back to the station? See what others have been through. See if that helps you. If anything, it will get what happened to you off your mind." Daisy suggested.

"I am part Vulcan. I'm more Vulcan then Ambassador Spock because my mother was Vulcan." he paused. "I think its a good thing mom is not present for this little event... If it ends up being related to the last pineapple event... someone loosed a psionic wave on several dozen thousand people will cause a major shitstorm." Orthos rose to his feet. "Yeah. I head back... see if I can help with this problem."

"Do you want me to go with you?" She asked.

Orthos paused. "No.," he said quietly. "I appreciate it but no." he was interrupted as a soft meowing sound came from the door, the kitten entered the room before she hopped up onto the bed. She looked at Daisy before she let out a loud plaintive meow.

"Ahh, she thinks we're fighting," Orthos commented. "Yet she always comes to you..."
