Mission: Mission 34: Between Two Fires
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke / USS Toronto
Timeline: 1930Hrs - June 22nd, 2391

Commander Torilla Yamaguchi regarded her son as he explained the particulars of his situation to his mother, he looked disgruntled, disheveled and downright unhappy as Torila's heart ached for him. "At least they found out what was going on with Savannah... That's got to count for something...but yes. I have questions too.."

"Yeah probably the same as mine mom, this whole situation is bullshit... how the fuck did Doctor Savok miss this.... was he stupid... or just deranged?"

"Who knows," Torilla explained gently. "Gabe, take a deep breath..." she said quietly. "I can feel your rage from here..."

"Yeah..." Gabe sighed softly. "I did not see this one coming."

"I don't think anyone did sweetie." Torilla smiled warmly at her son. "Why don't you guys come over for dinner tomorrow night and we can hang out on the holodeck with that beach barbeque program that you guys liked the last time we ran into each other. Your Dad will cook. You know it'll be great"

"I heard that." Jake's voice suddenly appeared in the room. "Gabe" Jake approached as he greeted his son. "Who pissed in your breakfast?" Jake inquired bluntly.

"Well, Dad... it's like this... Doctor Savok missed that Savannah was pregnant with twins and we didn't see it until about an hour ago when Bart Mancuso found out for us."

"Wait... what?" Jake blinked. "Twins?"

"Yes Dad... that explains a lot of what's going on, don't you think?"

"Yeah Savannah would have been badly malnourished." he paused as he shared a look with his wife. "Among various other things..."

Gabe nodded his head. "Yeah, Dad... she's been having a hell of a time with this pregnancy..."

"Well as your mom said, come on over and we'll hang out as a family tomorrow night... I've not seen you guys in way too long and I'm sure neither Rachael or Elizabeth have either..."

Torilla nodded her head. "Rachael won't be able to come... Boot Camp."

"That just sucks.." Gabriel responded. "I heard she was seeing someone...?"

"Yeah... a guy named Ennis Cullen, off of the Tranquility. I met him by mistake... Because there was drama going on with Roanoke's school system and Saki got suspended for defending herself.... some kid hit Elizabeth with a baseball bat and Saki strangled him for it."

"Wow," Gabriel responded. "My niece sounds like something dangerous."

"She is.. I want to say part feral but she's got a highly defined sense of right and wrong. She got that from her mother, Siaxx and Phoenix..."

Gabe listened to his mother explain the situation that's been brewing for the last few weeks or so. "Saki right now is being homeschooled by Lieutenant Bernice Gyce, apparently my Chief of Security has taken a shine to Rachael's daughter."

"I keep thinking that Rachael is fourteen mom." Gabe admitted. "seeing her as this twenty-two-year-old darker-skinned copy of Elizabeth is just out there in left field."

"I know... You're not telling your Dad and me, anything we don't already know or haven't thought about ourselves." Torilla responded as her daughter in law appeared next to her husband. "Hey, guys." Savannah greeted them with a warm smile. "I heard voices and I got curious.."

"You heard?"

"No. I make it a point to never eavesdrop on other conversations... What am I rudely interrupting?"

"We're inviting you two out for a family get-together tomorrow night. BBQ on the beach so pack appropriate attire."

"Ahh.." Savannah smiled as she brushed her dark blonde her put of her eyes. "so as minimal as possible. got it."

Torilla chuckled softly but then she got serious again. "Rachael won't be coming, she's still at boot... and when she's not there, she's spending time with Saki and Ennis."

"Who's Ennis?" Savannah leaned in closer. "Sounds romantic.."

"Ennis is her boyfriend," Jake explained. "They have been taking her time but he is also a single parent... His kid's names are Sarah Cullen and Daniel Cullen... They are good kids.."

Gabriel nodded. "I read the medical report of the incident in question... I'm suprised that Elizabeth didn't hit him back.."

"She couldn't but she's looking at a legal response."

"She's serious?"

"Oh, she's pissed... I can still feel her rage." Torilla paused. "She wants to send a message that this kind of behaviour will not be tolerated, frankly, I'm fully behind her on the matter.." Torilla answered. "Chances are... if it goes to a Captain's mast, Zara will be officiating but Elizabeth is biding her time on the matter... "

"That makes her all the more dangerous on the matter mom..... You know how she is."

"Oh, I've not forgotten the details... I was there after all... and Security did interview me and everyone else involved. Now they are just collecting their notes and making sure that all is in order before they recommend or deny charges be pressed."

"I wish I could be there for this"

"No, you don't... It is bad enough that I'm involved.." Torilla explained softly. "Besides... I have a lot of better things to do with my time than dealing with parents who can't get their kids to behave themselves at school..."

"Hows Saki doing?"

"She is very upset over what happened to her aunt... and everything else that's gone on..."

"Oh... details please mom?" Savannah inquired as the story slowly came pouring forth like a waterfall that had been blocked by an ice dam for far too long.

Gabriel and Savannah listened in silence to their mother explain the grisly details of this sad and sordid affair. "Send her over to us mom, we have our school system... if all else fails... I'm on good terms with the teachers here." Savannah explained. "We'll see to it she's well taken care of... considering those punk assed kids don't deserve the school they have.."

"Savannah..." Gabriel said softly as he gently placed a hand on her hand. "We'll work it out." he was referring to their entire family which now was in one place for the first time in many months.

"Yes, we will," Torilla answered. "So... you guys coming tomorrow?"

"Oh hell yes," Savannah responded with an eager smile. "It'll be great to hang out with you guys again."

"Excellent." Torilla grinned. "It'll be great."
