Mission: Mission 33: Losing the Peace
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1300Hrs - May 11th, 2391

Rear Admiral Jake Yamaguchi regarded Captain Lil'yanna Olmos who was standing before him, she had a pensive look on his face. "Well... talk to me goose."

Elizabeth smiled at the old reference her father used as she placed her massive medkit which was housed in a backpack on a nearby biobed with the name. 'Elizabeth Yamaguchi' stencilled on it in black text as she too was curious as to what Captain Olmos would say.

Torilla was remaining in her own quarters while Jake had moved into a set of guest quarters with the twins to keep them away from the chaos that was going on. This was why she was not present in sickbay but Jake had no idea where Nalla was.

"I've spoken with a Deltan celibate and their government and both of them gave me the same suggestion," Olmos sighed for she did not like this solution. "We essentially keep interrupting a unification process... which the Deltan government was not too keen to give all the specifics about."

Elizabeth raised an eyebrow. "Wait... Unification?" she inquired. "Do I dare ask?"

"Beth... it means your mom and Nalla need to finish what they were doing.." Jake responded quietly.

"Dad... seriously... once already fried mom's brain... should we allow her to do it again?"

"I don't like the idea either," Olmos agreed, "mostly because Nalla was never trained for this. Not because I didn't want this, but because I'm not a Deltan. I could never prepare her for this."

Elizabeth growled. "That's because she made my mother into a raging hormonal case-" was as far as she got before Jake interrupted. "Beth... Enough, this was not Nalla's fault.... the matter of blame belonged to a holoprogram named Peeves.."

"Lovely." Elizabeth sighed softly.

"The suggestion is for them to unify as one," Olmos spoke almost verbatim of the Deltan government. "That... or give your mother more time to sort out the information she absorbed. Regardless of the choice, Nalla will have to spend some time with her Deltan people to learn to hone her sensual-related abilities."

"Has anyone given any thought as to what might happen to Lieutenant Furban if this happens again?" Elizabeth asked. "I mean mom's brain was almost fried by this.."

"I will experience a new lifetime of memories and feelings," Nalla spoke from the back of the room. "If the attempt goes wrong, I could overload my own brain, sending me into an intense state of sensual-based shock."

"You know what happened when your dad mated with your mom," Olmos tried to point out gently. "He's a trained celibate too."

"His training had no relation to my mother's problems," Nalla countered in her typical manner. "The psychosis set in as a result of the Betazoid brain being incompatible with most other telepathic races."

"Conjecture," Olmos corrected her daughter.

"I believe I have the right to make my own decisions, Mother." Nalla was very curt in her response, though she did not make eye contact.

"This is why I did not encourage you to mate before," Olmos spoke with exasperation. "Let's say you are right in your theory... You're half Betazoid, Nalla. That makes you incompatible with both Commander Yamaguchi and your Deltan half. Two terrible halves you shouldn't mix sexually with other people."

"You think I am bad genes," Nalla spoke in a hurt voice.

"No - yes - I mean..." Olmos sighed in frustration, then said, "Fuck... Nalla, you're a gift to this universe. Always will be. But in my medical opinion, I do not think you are properly trained right now to handle the various issues one may face sexually."

"I will perform several masterbatorial acts in preparation, then," Nalla turned and walked out of the room. She was hurt very deeply by Olmos.

"That... went bad," Olmos shivered and sighed in frustration. "Problem is, I'm out of my depth. I can't begin to figure out how to explain the Deltan birds and the bees to her. Much less teach her."

Jake Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow. "I'll go talk to her.... you guys finish your research.." and with that Jake turned and went after Nalla.

He got to the exit of sickbay and then went right. "Computer locate Nalla Furban, where is she heading?"

"Lieutenant Furban is approaching the turbolift," the computer intoned.

Indeed she was. Those implants of hers allowed tears to form behind them. The one she had come to call her mother did not trust in her abilities. Nor did it seem anyone else did.

Yamaguchi turned and went down the hall after her. "Nalla." he called ahead. "Let me try having this conversation with you." he caught up to her but he did not touch her. "I have three adult children... so I've had to explain the birds and the bees twice now. Rachael learned the hard way...." the two entered the turbolift. "Lets go somewhere quiet.."

"Very well," Nalla agree with slight confusion in her face. "I have had coital relations before, Admiral."

The two entered the turbolift. "Nalla, I'm the last one you need to worry about, Torilla is my wife after all." Jake responded. "Do you think you can resolve her issues?" he inquired.

"My mother does not believe I can," Nalla both answered and avoided. She honestly did not know, without practice.

"I don't think it's hopeless..." Jake regarded the woman who was about half his size. "I'm worried about my wife." he explained briefly. "I know she's having troubles processing what was shared between you two.. So... finish what we interrupted." he slowly smiled. "Like I said... I'm the last one to say it's hopeless.." he paused a moment. "She's at home... go visit her and... finish matters between you two. I will deal with your mother..."

"Her concerns are not with fault," Nalla told him shyly. "I have systematically stunned several people. She knows my control was never at a mastery of other Deltans my age."

Yamaguchi regarded her. "You're worried that you might do more harm to Torilla?" he inquired.

"My mother has never doubted me before. I have to take into account that this situation holds a severity to it where blind faith in me is not wise," Nalla attempted to reply in a neutral manner. It was not a complete success though, as her tone and eyes were etched in pain.

"Leave your mom out of this, worrying about her will only distract you from the end goal." Yamaguchi regarded the smaller woman as he stood next to her in the turbolift, he had to resist touching her as he almost did. "Nalla... Can you help Torilla.?" he inquired. "Thats all I want to know at this point.." Jake sighed softly.

"...I believe I can," Nalla answered after she took a few moments to ponder. "If we set up the dampening field while I initiate coital relations to your wife, that could reduce the stimuli that tends to acerbate my sensual overloads. Thereby keeping the conditions controlled."

Jake nodded, clearly he was unsure about the whole affair but he knew why this was going on. "Alright, that could work..." he responded. "Hopefully Peeves doesn't come back for an encore."

"While your wife is visually appealing, I would not delight another encounter like that," Nalla agreed. "If it is all the same, Admiral.. I do not see her as a mate. Nor will I ever. She is yours, in most cultures."

Jake smiled as he regarded the smaller woman. "I'm alright with it... because I know it was an accident." he responded. "I'm not threatened by it Nalla... I have five children, three of those are adults and two have children of their own... I'm happy with the state of my marriage.." he explained briefly. "I just hate being away from her so much.."

"Then I will endeavour to finish quickly so you may return to normalcy with your mate," Nalla promised.

Jake shook his head. "Nalla... Take the time you need to sort things out with her. A rushed job leads to poor results. I'm not going anywhere for at least another two weeks... I can always hang out with the twins and Saki. Torilla isn't going anywhere.."

"I shall bed your wife now, then." Nalla nodded her head, and once the lift opened, she exited and went about her task. However nervous she was about it.

"Very well... I'll head back to sickbay and tell Olmos the situation is well in hand." Jake responded evenly.
